My husband and I have been coming here for 12 years now and we have no complaints. Super friendly doctors and staff. Lovely facility. Great selection of eyewear. And they never leave you waiting past your appointment. Highly recommend Altig! read more

Better customer service. Don't hang up without a polite good bye when the person is saying a September date would not work before even finishing the sentence... read more

for two years I have gone to this office and for two years my prescriptions have been wrong. I wear close up and glasses for distance for driving. I have the eye test done again and the glasses lenses redone still no good. I can no longer go back there. Staff is very nice read more

This is an all in one stop. I've been coming here for a few years now. They are very friendly and professional. Got my first pair of glasses here. This will be my permanent place for my eye care. read more

Finally I found my eye service company. Such helpful staff I couldn't be happier with not just my glasses but with their care and service.

Communication about the eye examination what is included and the steps in the examination explaining what they are look for what each test. No questions asked if a patient has questions about test or the results. My eye examination results were not shred or explained. Went straight to wanting to sell me glasses. Did not offer to check for glaucoma in a regular eye exam. Focused on getting me in and out to sell me glasses. Plus don't bother calling and leaving a message if you have a question it's not important to them call backs days leter. read more

Worst experience of my life that I had an eye doctor. The doctor insisted I choose between A and B when neither we're good. She even raised her voice when I told her neither were good. I picked up the glasses and couldn't even see out of them. Fortunately I did not have to pay for the glasses and return them immediately.Never will I use them again. read more

Another wonderful visit, Dr. Altig and his team continue to be prompt, professional, and kind. Very happy to have found this practice.

Had an excellent experience at Altig Optical in Fort Worth. Very professional and courteous, one of the staff members named Faith was very nice and knowledgeable about her craft! Dr. Reynolds was very friendly and put me at ease and explained everything to me. I highly recommend Altig Optical for your vision care!! Very nice office, they took their time and you don't feel rushed! read more

Altig Optical is a plus 10 for vision testing and I highly recommend them. I have a wonderful doctor I see there and EVERYONE at this office is kind, caring and very explanatory. I have never had an Optical technician take the time to find a terrific pair of glasses as the lady I had. She was listening to what my issues with fittings were and took extreme care with me. I highly recommend this practice to anyone who wants a great vision test and care with glasses. read more

I was seen quickly and everyone was very nice. I was recently married and put on my husbands insurance. There was an issue at first but the office spoke with the insurance company and handled it promptly. (A few days before the appointment). They also got back to me and let me know I was good to go within the day. The decor in the office is cool as well. I love the text reminders as well. read more

Definitely don't recommend if you have a autistic child. They are very rude and aren't understanding at all.

A big thank you and shout out to Dr. Patel and Ninfa for their welcoming patient service and support. They made my visit very smooth and reassured they were there to take care of me. Altig Optical is well equipped with best diagnostic equipment to service patients. I was very impressed. read more

I have been coming to Dr. Altig for 16 years. I drive over an hour both way ! That's how awesome he and his very experienced team is. He does my contacts and glasses I will not trust anyone else to care for my eyes! read more

I had a change in my vision insurance and the staff could not of handled it worse. I called four times over a two month period; trying to get information so I could book appointments for my family. Not once or even twice but all four phone calls ended the same. NO HELP AND A PROMISE TO CALL ME BACK, THAT I NEVER RECEIVED! My family have been patients at Altig Optical for years, so I figured I would give one more try. I called them this afternoon and set on hold...... Not impressed.... read more

Dr. Reynolds is the absolute best! She's not only caring for eyes, but she's saving lives!!! For a year, she knew that something was going on with my sight, and instead of dismissing the issue, she went an extra mile forwarding me to specialists. Long story short, I had cancer and it was caught early, praise God!!! read more

It's always a pleasure to visit the office and have my eyes examined! The staffs is as warm as the fireplace they have going!

This is the best doctor my son has ever had! My son has horrible vision and other doctors seem to diagnose him incorrectly! This is undeniably the best dr ever! Wayback in the past there were some rude front desk assistants, but in the past 7-10 years or so, he has replaced them with the best! They are kind and compassionate and truly care for their clients! We love Dr Altig and now, 100% of his staff!!! Sadly, we have moved and have not been able to find anyone like him! Read Less read more

I haven't been in 2yrs and everyone was so sweet, and friendly! I've never felt so welcomed and usually I'm a nerve wreck when it comes to the eye exams especially since I had the appointment @8am (totally not a morning person) but everyone made me feel comfortable. When time came to pick out my new glasses, the lady was so nice and showed me options that would frame my face, in the end she helped me find the perfect glasses and i ended up leaving with a smile on my face haha, im beyond excited for my new glasses to come in! read more

I have been coming here since 2003 and I have not ever been disappointed with the staff or service. I strongly recommend Altig Optical, they work together as a family and will treat you like family. read more

I had a bad experience here. Part of it was my fault for not understanding a change to my insurance. This was not my usual eye doctor, which was also because of my insurance change. They still had my records on file as having visited here once in the late 90s. I couldn't remember why I didn't go there more than once, but I soon found out. All 4 staff members I came in contact with, from the receptionist to the contact lens fitter, gave me a hard sell about getting glasses in addition to contact lenses, even though I specifically said I did not want glasses. The eye doctor, Dr. Maloney, asked my age before doing my exam. When I said I was 42, he said I was going to need bifocals or reading glasses soon (even though I'm not having any trouble reading now.) He didn't say that it was based on any of the results of the tests done by the optical tech, so it just sounded like age discrimination. I would have believed him if he had said it was because of something they found on my vision tests. My prescription has not changed in more than 8 years and I haven't noticed any vision problems. So I was quite surprised when my new prescription was stronger in my right eye - and less strong than before in my left eye. I couldn't see well at all in the new contacts they gave me and I said so. The lens fitter expected that I would be reading more clearly than before. Finally Dr. Altig himself came in and said they were trying to correct for the very mild astigmatism that I've had for 10+ years. But because I didn't like their changes, they would let me just go back to my old prescription where I was seeing less sharply (in their opinion.) Long story short: I wasted my insurance coverage on an exam that I don't trust. I did not order contacts or make a follow-up appointment. When I said I couldn't see in the new prescription, they should have put me back up in the chair to re-check, but they were busy with another patient. I went home and made an appointment with my old eye doctor. I decided to pay 100% of the second exam fee out of pocket because at least I know I'll be able to trust the results. And now I remember why I only went here once in the 90s: I went in for contacts and gave into the hard sell to get a pair of glasses (which I never ended up wearing.) read more

Best place in North FTW, I could be a little biased as I've been a patient for 27 years, I've seen this Optical Clinic grow and just get better and better, Dr Altig and his Staff are the best, caring and compassionate and very easy going folk. read more

I've been going to Altig for years for my glasses and contact needs and they have been great. However, I am not here to write about my past experience but my most recent one. My 8 year old somehow embedded something in his eye and the care and treatment we received from Dr Reynolds and her tech Lea were absolutely exceptional. The entire experience was very traumatic for my son (and I) and they went above and beyond to correct the issue all while truly caring for the well being of my son during the process. The amount of care, patience and friendliness has to be recognized and sets the bar at what exceptional service is about. I can't thank you enough - Thank you so much ladies!! read more

Altig Optical - Beautiful waiting area in addition to the entire building. Clean , festive, warm and inviting. - Optometrists Near Me - Fort Worth, Texas

It has been a few months since I last went to Altig. Im still angry at what happened during almost an entire year. Started when I arrived for my 1st appt. I opened the door and the young girl at the front desk yelled at me to be sure to wear a mask. I looked around me thinking she was yelling at someone else...but no she was yelling at me. Really...yelling at the clients? FYI- I had a mask on. I should have turned around and walked out right then. I cant tell you how many visits I had over the next year. Each time I had to explain what the previous doctor did because no one documented anything in my chart. That is a huge problem. I endured the rude front office support staff and the unorganized office in general for many months more, thinking that it would get better, but no it did not. When speaking to an owner doc, multiple times, I explained what was going on and I thought she would correct the problems, but no she did not. It appears the doctors say one thing to their patients and another thing to the Opticians. There is tension all over this place. The docs contradict/scold the Opticians right in front of me and I dont appreciate being told that I dont know when I was last there and what happened. Not my fault that there is no accurate chart documentation. I dont want to argue with the Opticians, front office staff and most of all not the doc, which happened at most of my appointments. So unprofessional! I can see the office staff frustration, that goes for me too. Oh and one more thing..when I would get trials after weeks of waiting they said that I could not use the contact fitting table, you know the one with the mirror and the contact solution. I had to use the dark public bathroom. Really?? How unsanitary is that? This happened several times. One debacle after another for almost year and no suitable contacts, I called it quits. Dont waste your time at this place. read more

It is so easy to recognize a good and honest doctor when you've been dealing with exaggerations, embellishments and hyperboles in your diagnosis and lens prescriptions. I was especially impressed with the latest equipment used to exam my eyes. Dr. Altig used the info to make his own assessment; love that! The staff was very professional and friendly. I will be with Dr. Altig for a while when it comes to my eye care. Two thumbs up read more

I have been going here since I moved to North Texas 6 years ago. I started to see Dr. Cherry and when he left the practice, I started to see Dr. Patel. She is the best doctor in the practice. I feel confident with the results she gives me and she is so nice. The optical staff is awesome! Jack always helps me out and finds me the best pair of glasses each time. The front staff are very friendly and they give such positive energy when you go in there. If I move from the area, I would still make the trip to go see them. Good eye doctors are hard to find. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Altig since 1990. I have driven as far as 3 hours to come to him over the years. He has always been caring, knowledgeable, and we have a blast talking about college football. Just not a great optometrist. Friendly medical staff, mediocre optometrists, and vaguely sufficient optometry. I ended up with expensive, high-end, glasses that vaguely work; and it took a second visit to deliver optics that even improved my vision. After being told by a member of the optometric staff that "I didn't really need glasses" I knew that I had come to the wrong place. I'm willing to put down money for excellence, but I expect it. I believe this establishment will meet basic expectations, but they are not excellent. If you come here, expect to see, but not particularly well. read more

The staff were incredible and professional. The various eye testing was so thorough and efficient. I had no idea the glasses I had were so far off from what I need. They provide full service and offer great options for your eyeglasses. I am near visioned and can't see at night, so I was able to get a new technology that helps night driving tremendously. They even made some adjustments on my old frames, that I didn't purchase from them, so I could have them as a backup pair. Definitely impressed. Will tell others to use Altig. Overall great experience! The fire in the fireplace on a 17 degree morning was definitely a plus! read more

I can't say enough good things about Altig Optical. Dr. Cherry is by far one of the best doctors I've been to. He makes me feel very knowledgeable and confident in what is happening with my eyes. He is very concerned about patient's happiness with their vision. After a bad experience with LASIK, I am now happy and comfortable again with my eyes. Thanks, Dr. Cherry! read more
