My new TOM FORD frames
Linda E.

What a delightful experience purchasing my new eyeglasses at EYEWORKS HULEN in Fort Worth. I drive many miles to shop at this store as I have found their inventory each year carries the top of the line in designer styles. I had a wonderful experience being helped today by Vinessa! She so cheerfully welcomed me and offered to help me complete my purchase and fitting of glasses. Marc, kindly helped me in the frame selection 2 weeks earlier and invited their coworker Lana to give her personal opinion on my frame choice. Lana is a fashion authority in my opinion and one of the most design conscious eyewear employees around. Marc was busy with another customer today so Vinessa eagerly stepped in and helped me in such a professional way. I loved her sweet personality and kindness! She knows her business!! I love doing business with EYEWORKS HULEN.

Dr. Chu. Looks quite young like one of my kids. Do not let that fool you. Dr.Chu is a truly a miracle worker. I've been wearing eyewear since they strapped my first pair on at 3 months old. 53 years. Had my first cataract removed yesterday and today, for the first time, I greeted the world without glasses. OMG. This is a game changer. I can see clearly now the cataract is gone. I can see all obstacles in my way. One more end of the month and my optometrist is down one customer. Woo who Dr. Richard Chu.

I'm going to preface this by pointing out that I hardly ever leave reviews, negative or positive but after this experience I felt I had to speak out, and 1 star is me being generous. I scheduled a new patient appointment at this location with the first available doctor, so I took the time off of work because they're not able to fit you in on weekends for glasses or contact lens exams. Patient care is nothing to write home about, so don't get your hopes up. The optical department at this place is what pissed me off about how this place operates. I knew what model number of frame I wanted and exactly what I wanted on them, despite them trying to add on all this unnecessary stuff. The lady at the optical gave me a price based on what my insurance would cover, and charged me $76 for what she stated I was responsible for. She said it would take about 2-3 weeks or maybe a little bit longer for the frame to come in because of Covid. About a week after my visit, I was left a voicemail from the optical stating that I owed a balance and that I had to pay before I am able to get my frame. Once the frame came in, I went to go pick it up and figure out why they were charging me extra. The lady stated, "She mistakenly charged me for a frame that was priced at $199, instead of $299." When I asked her to show me their catalog or website they order from to see the price for that specific frame I ordered she declined and said that's just the standard price for ray bans. She stated her purchasing manager told her I should have been charged $299 for the frame, not $199 and that in order for me to be able to take the frames that day, I had to pay another $79.20. Apart from this being a complete crock of bs, the optical department refused to adjust the price stating that all transactions are final, and that she already had the transaction finalized. I paid. One, because my vision changed and I needed the new glasses and two, they wasted no time in billing my insurance plan before the end of the year and to have that claim reversed would take time I didn't have to go somewhere else before the year's benefits would expire. If this wasn't enough, this optical guy was instructed to bring out the glasses after I paid for them. I got them fitted and left. Five minutes after leaving, I got a call from the guy who fitted me for the glasses, saying that I had to pay for them and that I needed to come back. I told him I already paid and he laughed and said, "yeah right, we'll see you here", then hung up on me. Thirty minutes later, same guy calls me again and asks why I haven't paid for the glasses. I had to ask if he needed me to drive back there and show him the damn receipt before he checked the account to see if I did or not. Their optical staff is inept, disrespectful and completely unprofessional. Save yourself the headache and please go somewhere else.

Last year's Gucci eyeglasses I works off of W. 7th St.

I went to local ER (live 45 miles from Ft. Worth), and the dr. there got hold of Dr. Hajovsky who agreed to meet me at his office even though they were closed. Without any nurses, he spent 2 hours with procedures to stop further damage and help start to mend. Wednesday was the surgery, and a follow up the next day. I was very impressed with Dr. Hajovsky and the entire staff.

Veterans Beware!!…read more This Doctor's office does not and will not accept VA referrals for their services - PERIOD!!! I am a disabled veteran and I have just recently retired and have moved off my Corporate America insurance policy. So, I now rely on the VA for my medical services. I have tried for over a year to get this Dr.'s group's back office (and so have both of my great Doctors there) to accept VA payments so I can maintain my medical relationship with my 2 doctors. Sadly, during this entire time - the person in charge of the dept. that oversees these types of asks has said they will not accept payment from the VA - EVER! So, they clearly - have "ZERO" respect for Veterans. I am amazed at the run-around I have gotten, no call backs, and complete disrespect I have received from this back office team! Rude and argumentative is the common theme when you mention you are a veteran! So "hats off" to the most non-friendly VETERAN back office team in America!!! RAH - USMC!

I looked at Benbrook/Fort Worth reviews and found De Grasse & Ratliff Eye Center - what a blessing! Everyone I encountered at De Grasse & Ratliff Eye Center was pleasant, assistive, and professional. My optometrist was Dr. Chad Carter. He took his time with me and was careful and thorough during the examination. He recommended and used lenses to demonstrate how the changes would impact my vision quality. While waiting to see Dr. Carter, I decided to review their extensive selection of frames. Mandy Roger-Gay, a Lead Optician, introduced herself and assisted me in finding frame options. My choices were made with her assistance before the exam (I knew I would need new frames as mine had broken). I have worn prescription eyewear for almost 60 years, since second grade. I have never had a more thorough and informative eye exam than the one conducted by Dr. Carter. I have never enjoyed more assistance and courteous service than Mandy's. Mandy took her time to measure for bi-focal lines carefully and made beneficial suggestions to ensure my new eyewear would provide me with the support I need to live and work with good eyesight. I am delighted I chose to drive the thirty miles to experience this level of friendly and professional service. I highly recommend De Grasse & Ratliff Eye Center, Dr. Chad Carter, and Mandy Roger-Gay for your optical needs.
