I went there for an eye exam. From the moment you walk in they are trying to upsell you Then after going back 3 times to get my prescription correct; they wanted me to order my contacts from them. After stating that I was going to order them online; they refused to gjve me my prescription without physically coming back up there to pick it up. They are overpriced and try to to strongarm you into paying their high prices for your glasses and contacts. Will not go back here; nor do I recommend. read more

I would advise anyone from going to Seabert Eye they are a scam. I went in for my yearly exam and bought new glasses I paid in full! When I went in to pick up my glasses they said wait we need to make sure everything is paid in full the girl said yes they are. I then had a procedure done where it was run thru my insurance before the procedure again I paid in full the day of service. Two months later I got a notice saying I still had a balance for both appts the excuse was well maybe the girl working the front was new! SCAM read more

When I called to make a diabetic eye exam appointment for my husband I spoke to someone about insurance before scheduling. I was very happy to hear her say that they will get the most out of both vision and health insurance. So we scheduled a 9am appt on a Friday the only thing I wish they did was tell us they didn't open until 9am...we got there at 8:40am but husband couldn't go inside yet. Once inside the entire staff was sooooo nice! We got treated very well by everyone! I highly recommend this eye care facility and will definitely continue my husbands care here. read more

Unfortunately, my opinion has changed. Fancy offices and nice enough staff, but they put profit before people. DO NOT GO to Seabert Eye Care unless you want to get tested for a new prescription every single year. I tried to obtained refills on contact lens prescription from just 10 months ago and they said we needed new appointments. Save yourself the frustration. The worst energy coming from the Receptionist. She was an older lady with blonde short hair. My husband and I are new to the area and we're looking for some eye care services. From the start as we were walking in the receptionist didn't even greet us, she made eye contact and then picked up the phone and PUT HER FINGER UP to wait. Then she looked at us like we're low class latinos she didn't even smile the whole time we were asking our questions and she was giving us short dry answers. While we were waiting for her to register us, another American couple was walking out and she smiles and says goodbye so joyful and a huge smile then looks back at us with such a unhappy face and books our appointment. Later that day we get a text our appointment was cancelled. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I work in the health care and I would have never treated someone new coming into our clinic looking for services like that. UNACCEPTABLE. So disappointed. NO STARS. read more

I pass this place once a week going to H‑E‑B and always thought how cool it looked. I decided to go ahead and schedule my exam so I spent 30 mins on their website filling out my new patient form, msged them for an appt. Next day I got a VM asking me to call back to schedule the appt. I called around noon, no freaking answer. I get a text stating they missed my call but I could respond directly on that msg so I did. NO CALL NO RESPONSE BACK. Wow. So I called today to schedule appt, the receptionist obviously LOVES her job and helping new clients as she was unhelpful in scheduling me an appt because I couldn't immediately provide her with my insurance information. She said an appt can't be scheduled without my insurance. What if I wanted to pay out of pocket? Needless to say I didn't get an appt scheduled and I don't plan on going there even if my eyes rot out my skull if that's how their customer service is even before I walk into the building. I've been going to Dr. Seabert for over 5 years, he is always very thorough, and he usually tweaks the prescription to get it right on. He can detect retina problems, which I have, and monitor it to make sure it isn't getting worse. He can also diagnose cataracts and glaucoma, which will help me in latter years. His staff is friendly and helpful, and his new building is convenient and awesome! read more

This is so sad, we really used to love this place. The staff used to be friendly and very professional. Now the customer service is horrible. We went through 2 pairs of glasses with my son. The wrong pair were ordered twice...we finally just stayed with the second pair. Such a headache. I was charged for someone else's prescription that could not be canceled by Dr. Seabert's staff...I had to call and talk to the company about the prescription and cancel it myself since the front desk was incompetent. So this interaction is with the receptionist both times I go into Seabert Eye Care. She is not rude nor does she get angry or anything nor do I. They accept cash, check and card, but the card is around 3.25% to use it. I go in personally to make an appointment. Give them my insurance, photo ID etc. They ask for my social. I ask why do you need my social? Receptionist says your last 4 will do. I give them that and I set an appointment. Before I leave I ask, Do I need to bring my contacts with mw hen I come in for my appointment? Receptionist says yes bring them with you. Today I fill out my new patient questionnaire, call and ask how much this visit is going to be and they tell me $10. I show up for my appointment and the receptionist asks for my insurance card and photo ID. I tell her, you took that from me when I first made my appt. "1st red flag". She then asks me if I wear contacts, I say around 25% of the time because I don't like the prescription. She says there will be an extra fee for the fitting. I ask how much? She states it depends on your examination. I say, You didn't tell me there was an extra fee involved when I asked last time if I needed to bring my contacts. I say All I ask for is communication and this isn't looking good. '2nd red flag'. She goes and talks to someone. Comes back and says, yes there is a fee involved. I ask how much is the fee? She replies, They won't know until they do the exam. I tell her I only brought a small amount of cash with me and I am not going to pay the 3.25% to use my credit/debit card. So how much is the exam? I don't know what your prescription is, if you are nearsighted, farsighted or have an astigmatism. I say, so you are telling me that I see the Dr. for the eye exam they the tech's do a contact exam/fitting then you decide how much to charge me and on top of that I will have to probably pay an extra 3.25% because you never told me that there would be an extra charge. I say " I say I don't think this is going to work out because you can't tell me how much my entire visit is going to be and will decide how much to charge me AFTER the visit. I then walk out of the business. I DO NOT recommend going to these people. I was trying to find an eye Dr that does not treat people like they are in an assembly line or just a $$. These folks can't/won't tell you how much they are going to charge you until AFTER the exam is over then decide how much it's going to be. read more

Dr. Seabert and his staff were so amazing with my daughter! We have been to 3 other eye doctors and no one could get a good reading on her. He spent HOURS trying to figure it out, explained what was going on with her, and was so patient. I paid for extra "test", but when I took my prescription to work for safety glasses there no PD measurements, when I called back I was told those are extra and I would have to make an appointment and come back! The whole getting braces is a big deal and once you get them you are locked in with who you pick. I am so happy we chose Seabert Eye Care. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and most of all not trying to force you into something. It felt more like a family than anything else. The building is almost pretty amazing as well. I had been going to Dr. Seabert for about 9 years and last year I went to a different doctor upon a friend's suggestion. I am back to Dr. Seabert and never will stray again!!! I went in for an exam and was changed to a different type of contact because I was told my brand was not made any longer. Although I can still purchase them online for some reason. Before leaving, the technician gave me the lens and told me to put them on. I did, they were not even close to being the right strength. I told her I can't see, she said you have to get used to them. I couldn't even see to drive. I was also sold $50 worth of 'vitamins' for my eyes. $150 total. When I said again I can't see, I was told the tech had moved on to another patient so I left. Then I got a bill in the mail for another $40. A waste of time and money. read more

If you are looking for an excellent optometrist, this is the one for you! My husband and I have been going to Dr. Seabert for a number of years. He is also a therapeutic optician. He was the first one to diagnose a retina problem for my husband before it produced blindness. He diagnosed both cataracts and glaucoma for me and I was able to get early diagnosis and treatment for same. He also manages my husbands eye problems due to diabetes. Please consider Dr. Seabert.
