Disappointed. I visited this office for several years and enjoyed really good results. Dr is friendly and works to meet your needs. Moved a couple of years ago and tried a new doctor closer to home which did not measure up to what I'd become accustomed to here. Called and made an appointment noting I get off work at 4:15 and need a later appt if possible. They set me up for 4:40. They called and left a message a day or two later that they had to move it up to 4:20 (despite knowing I can't make a 4:20). I missed the message (totally my fault). Didn't realize my error until it was too late. Called them back the next day to reschedule. Person that answered the phone wouldn't set an appt. Said she'd call me back. I asked why we couldn't set an appt and she said she would have to check with the doc because he has a strict no-show policy. Evidently, he said no because I haven't heard back. I understand a missed appt can be a missed opportunity to cash a check, but I've seen this doc several times. I was genuinely looking forward to seeing an eye doctor I trust again. This makes it a tricky review. He's a good doctor. I'd recommend him for the quality of the experience. But this seems petty and punitive. I'm a patient; a customer. I feel like service providers should accommodate their customer. Not the other way around. Especially, when their office changed the plan and moved up my appointment. read more

I've been here on more than one occasion and never had a problem with the doctor. My last and most recent visit happened today. There was an issue with my daughters glasses since august on more than one occasion and this time I asked for a new frame to which I was told they would replace and would be ready this morning. That was not the case they did not do anything, and then when I said something about it to them they had the nerve to tell me not to get an attitude with them. It's hard not to get an attitude when it was all for nothing. All they did was waste my time and tell me there's nothing wrong with the glasses that literally fell off my daughters face at school. I would not recommend this place to anyone for any reason I will never be back. Sing yourself a headache and find someplace else to go. They will not honor their warranty on the frames FYI and they are full of excuses. read more

I've been a patient since 2016. I love this optometrist office because they are very attentive to my contacts needs. My prescription is very high, -9.5, and I have never found a doctor with my prescription of contact on hand. They ALWAYS have mine and always provide a free pair with my checkup. They have also "spotted" me a pair when I was out and waiting for an order. When I first became a patient I was also gifted a pair of "forever" contacts that I could keep in my car glove box for emergencies and they wouldn't be harmed. For starters, the person answering the phone was very rude. i asked simple questions and she was very much passive aggressive. When she was done answering my question, she said "OK thanks bye"...I still had another question to ask, next thing you know she wasent there anymore. Horrible customer service. I tried to hang on as long as possible on using this office even though it has been a poor experience every time. The final straw was when I asked for my son's prescription to be sent to me and they told me they only fax it. I was able to provide a fax number and they claim it was faxed. I never received it and asked them to send the fax again and she refused. She said they only fax things once and would not be attempting to fax it again. I honestly do not believe they sent it at all and could not believe the lack of customer service. There are many other options and I would highly suggest choosing a different one. read more

I would not recommend this place to anyone! The communication here is so poor. I scheduled a new patient appointment and could not make it due to work related issues (I work for a cancer center). I called them a couple of hours in advance and Cynthia informed me she would talk to the doctor in regard to me rescheduling and would call me back well she never called me back. I called to check on the status and she informed me the doctor would not see me at all. The only reason I found out is because I reached out to the office. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I do not know much about this kind of establishment as I have never had to visit one myself but... We had little to no wait. The Dr. was very friendly and informative as was the lady at the desk. She let me son try on EVERY pair of glasses without hesitation and they arrived under a week. Have not picked them up yet but will update if necessary. read more

Our first visit was great, however when we came back the next year with my 5 year old they refused to see her with a parent in the room. I refuse to let a grown man that I have only spent 15 min in a year alone with my 5 year old in a dark room. They said if I was going to force the issue of going back with her then I could just cancel the appointment. So we walked out and never looked back. read more

I have received care from Burleson Eye Care for over 11 years and have always been happy with the results however, I have since moved and changed my mailing address to Bridgeport but return to Burleson often and continue to see my regular doctors. When making a yearly appointment this office refused treatment due to the fact that I have a Bridgeport address. Office staff said it was their policy. Note to self: Read the other reviews before scheduling appointments! As everyone else has said, if you show up with less than 10 minutes before your SCHEDULED appointment time, they will refuse service and ask you to reschedule. Not kindly either, mind you. My appointment was at 1pm, I walked in at 12:55pm and they would not see me. (They also informed me when I walked in that they did not receive medical records from my retina specialist, which was another reason they were declining me. Would've been nice to know before I showed up.) Their customer service from the ladies at the front desk is extremely lacking and their policies are insane! If you are going to turn down new patients for being 5 minutes "late" (even though I was technically still 5 minutes early), don't expect to be in business much longer. If I could give them zero stars I certainly would. Still somewhat new to the area and just so happens I l moved to a new state not long before I turned 40! Well, needless to say, things started failing me before all of my services were set up....my eyes being one of them! I scheduled my FIRST, and much needed, appointment with them almost two weeks ago. This morning I head over. There's "major" construction in small town Burleson preventing ease of navigation at Renfro and Wilshire...so rather than sit there for 10 minutes I maneuvered a nearby parking lot believing I needed to turn right for whatever reason....I didn't! Before I knew it, I was lost and for the first time ever, google maps was of no assistance! I called the office and advised the curt lady that answered that I had a 10:00 but was very lost. Once she finally seemed to get it she gave me an idea of where I needed to be and disconnected without so much as a goodbye. I finally arrive...at 10:03...wait two minutes for the "polite" lady at the desk to return after checking me in....and what does she say? Oh, Ms. Wolfe, we'll need to reschedule!!! WTF!!! I'm 3 minutes late!!! I called because I was lost! It took the receptionist 3 d**n minutes to figure out where she was standing!!! She couldn't have told me that on the phone?! Are you kidding me!? Rather than go off on everybody for what I know to be small town Burleson "culture" I advised that I'd go elsewhere!! I read the poor reviews before booking and thought "oh, how bad can it be, it's an eye exam"! Well let me tell you...it's BAD! If you are looking for an eye doctor, I strongly encourage you to keep looking. Me and my wife recently moved to the area and had to go through the struggle of finding a new eye doctor. I say struggle because nowadays it seems like all health institutions care about is taking your money even if it means selling you things you don't need. And that was immediately what I felt when I went into this place. They offered different kinds of tests, which me and my wife turned down and told them we only wanted what our insurance would cover. My wife told them she's had contacts for over 4 years and even what kind and brand she wanted, making the doctors' job very easy. So here is why I'm giving them one star; when we got home after our visit, my wife realized she only got half the amount of contacts she usually gets from her yearly allowance that our insurance offers, so she called the place and they said that's all she could have after the $60 "Contact fitting session" they were taking out of the allowance!! First of all, that is outrageously expensive! My other place spent at least 35 minutes with me making sure I could put them on when I first got mine and only charged $15. Second, they are only supposed to do that session the first time you get contacts or maybe if you change brands, but my wife told them exactly what she needed! And last but definitely what pissed me off the most, they were taking $60 of our hard earned money for something THEY DIDN'T EVEN DO!!! All they did was the yearly eye exam with her and that was all. Finally after a few useless calls to try and fix that, my wife ended up going back to the place and they said they would call her the following week with a solution, and guess what, they never did. So she called again and they said they had already ordered more contacts for her but my wife felt like they were rude every time she would talk to somebody. I definitely recommend you look for a better place. It seems like since we didn't want to purchase their overpriced tests, they were looking for a way to squeeze the money out of us. read more

My six-year-old son had an exam at this clinic this morning, during which time I was not permitted to go into the exam room with him and his mother, apparently due to COVID restrictions. Ok, fine. Inside the exam room, my wife asked the doctor if she could call me on the phone and allow me to hear the conversation regarding my son's exam since I couldn't go in with them. That request was denied due to HIPAA law. Again, irritating, but fine. That was the end of it and absolutely ZERO fuss was made of it. So I sat in the waiting room, playing on my phone, listening to a YouTube video quietly so as not to be a distraction, waiting for them to come back out to the lobby. When they were done I got a summary of the exam from the doctor, we took care of the paperwork with the office clerks, made arrangements for a new prescription, and everything was fine and uneventful. Hours later, we get a call that we will no longer be seen by this office and that all future services will be denied. For what?!? we asked. Apparently it was later reported to the doctor by one of his staff that I was listening in on the conversation in the exam room supposedly through a discreet phone call from my wife during the exam. ABSOLUTELY AND UNEQUIVOCALLY FALSE! No such phone call was made between us. No such call was attempted or even thought of. I did not and could not listen to any of the conversation, and no attempt was made to do so. So what led to this accusation and swift judgment? Apparently, me quietly listening to a video on my phone while sitting in the waiting room was the only evidence needed to jump to a false conclusion, make the accusation to the doctor (not to me mind you!), and then have the doctor's secretary call to say that we will be refused service for violating HIPAA law. What an outrage! Could I not be asked to put my phone away if some violation was suspected? Or if they only later suspected a violation, could they not have asked me or my wife first if I was on such a call from the exam room? How petty of the doctor and his staff to flatly deny service based on an accusation! How unjust to presume guilt over innocence! How embarrassing for Burleson Eye Care! Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere! read more

If I could give this place a zero stars I would. I have no earthly idea how this man stays in business with the way he treats people!!! NEVER use Burleson Eye Care!! We had an appointment for my 4 year old today at 1pm. I have never been there before and there was a mix up about places so I didn't show up 10 minutes before my appointment time but a couple of minutes before 1. I explained to the receptionist that I accidentally went to the wrong place. She checked us in and gave me ONE sheet to fill out. When she brought us back my 4 year old needed to go to the bathroom, and While waiting in the hall for her the Dr. came by and asked where the patient was. When I told him she was in the bathroom he said he didn't have time for that and we needed to reschedule. I thought he was joking until the receptionist escorted us out when my daughter got out of the bathroom, which literally was 5 seconds after he said to reschedule. There were no other patients waiting in the lobby and it was 1:10-1:15 when he said to reschedule. Because my child had to go to the bathroom he wouldn't see her! Then when I said you have to be kidding me all this because she had to go to the bathroom?, he said it was because I was late which I wasn't. I have been wearing glasses for 35 years and have never been treated this way. He treated a 4 year old this way. I should have looked at the yelp reviews because apparently this is how he operates. Also he refuses to let the parent be in the room with him and their child during the exam. I personally am not okay with a grown man I do not know being in a closed door room with my child!! This place is a place full of real people. People who genuinely care and want to help, and try to help people, but people need to help themselves first. Do NOT come to this place. Came for an eye exam, explained that there is one test I cannot have due to migraines and a previous injury and that generally when explained the practitioner understands. Go somewhere else. Don't waste your time coming here. read more
