I had an eye exam last month in April, I could not find any glasses that I liked the day I had my exam. Once I was back from work travel I went back in and picked out a frame for my new glasses. Once they arrived I was notified but when I went to pick them up they were not what I had ordered. They were the wrong frame! The manager said that she would put the lenses in the frame that I had ordered once I was able to try them on they were the wrong lenses too. They told me I would get used to them ,,,, They did not check to make sure they were the correct prescription. I said no they are not right I am looking through a fish bowl. They rescheduled me a second eye exam . .. while at my second eye exam I asked the lady if she was going to get the glasses I ordered She said when I go to the room for the eye doctor yes. When she came back she wanted me to put them on and read the wall. I did but had to take the off immediately. she told me to read the wall with them on. I told her I was looking through a fishbowl and that my migraine was triggered. I got up immediately and said forget it I want my money back . I told the lady at the desk I wanted a refund she said that she needed to have the manager do it and the manager was not there. I said to call her. The eye doctor came out and wanted to know why did not want the second exam. I told him they ordered the wrong frames and the lenses are wrong I'm looking through a fishbowl. If I am fine with the contacts that he prescribed and while doing the first exam I should have been fine with the glasses but they ordered the wrong material completely and blamed me for it. And I got pissed. A vestibular migraine effects all of your senesce and since I put those wrong glasses on this morning I am set with a migraine for the entire day! They will not return my money from their mistake, I also used my eye insurance. And since I have to travel for work the next few weeks I have to go yet another month without the refund and I also have not way of getting to a new place for an eye exam that I have to fully pay out of pocket because MyEye Dr. will not give me a refund on the mistake that they made. read more

Update: Dr. McDaniel is my normal doctor and he makes coming here as a teen very easy and explains everything very clearly and efficiently. Unfortunately I needed my new prescription and he was all booked up so had to go to a new doctor. This doctor (Dr. Fadeyi) was very kind as well but because the secretary at the front addressed me as "slow" he came in sat down did the normal thing then said "you're good to go" and that was our entire encounter, so really nothing bad to say about any of the doctors even the lady who did the initial "intake" or whatever you call it when you go to do the puff in the eye thing, was very kind to me. So the one star was only because of the lady at the front with the red hair that took advantage of me. The other day I went into this office, to get an eye exam. ONLY an eye exam. Was not greeted when I walked in, was roughly asked "what" and told the lady I had an appointment. Might I add, this lady (red head almost always at front desk) has always been rude and in a bad mood, but usually it's bearable, due to the unfortunate events that took place, I no longer find her bearable. I've been coming here for years, and I'm only 19 so I just recently started going to all of my appointments on my own, which IS TERRIFYING as is. I end up arguing with this lady about how I only want an eye exam for about 10 minutes because she keeps insisting I get contacts, and eventually she gets the hint and gives me my paperwork. I go in, I'm getting the exam and coming back out to check out. This is where everything gets horrible. I have a $10 copay as you see on my receipt, but ended up getting charged $175. When I asked her why it was so expensive she said "retinal imaging & your contact fitting" and I said "when did I get contact fitting? And why did I get retinal imaging if I just asked for an exam?" (Which I said word for word- "I only want the exam nothing extra" 7 TIMES!) and she said (in the most degrading way possible), "when you went in the room with the doctor that's what he did, and retinal imaging is usually included in an exam" that last part I can understand but I never asked for either of those things in fact I specified I did not want anything extra at all. At this point I'm in tears because this lady has just made me look stupid in front of the entire store, but I didn't have enough money in my account. So I ended up moving money from my next paycheck (my banks cool) and paying for it with that... then got the hell out. When I was in my car however I realized I literally just gave this lady all my money because she scared me and embarrassed me, so I called my mom, because if she wasn't going to take me as a 19yr old seriously then maybe she'd take her seriously. My mom walked in said maybe 10 words and this lady rolled her eyes said "I'm sorry" and asked a man near here to run a refund. When talking to this man he informed us that if I just asked for an exam she should have asked about the specifics, then on top of that the charges that were extra and not needed were 1.not performed and 2. Overpriced. The one charge you see for $125 for the "Toric fit" was supposed to be $60 not $125 and my insurance (had it been applied) would have covered it entirely. Then on top of that the $39 for the retinal imaging would have been covered by insurance as well. So not only did she charge me for things I did not ask for, say I got them when I did not, and also overcharge me for the things I didn't want or even GET, but she also had a horrible attitude, kicked a customer out while I was there for being 4 minutes late, rolled her eyes at my mom, and she brushed me off as just another naïve adolescent. It is hard for teens to get into the world on their own, we do not need bratty wanna be teenagers making it worse on us. ON TOP OF EVERYTHING, when she sent me to the back she told the doctor "get ready for this next one she's a little slow (then made a facial gesture inferring a handicap remark) I mean why is she still working here at the front desk?!!!?? I work in retail and would have been fired years ago for behavior like that. It's truly unacceptable and disgusting. You guys need to tell this red head to either 1.grow up 2.fake a smile or 3. Get the hell out. You just lost the business of 15 people due to you taking advantage of me. And I now have $0 until I get this damn refund. It's ridiculous. read more

Worst place on the face of the earth to get your glasses. I have gotten my glasses at this location for 20 years. When they were Vision City the service was impeccable. Now that My Eye Dr. has taken over, they are nothing but crooks! I'm in the 13th month of trying to get my glasses. Last time I was in a few weeks ago I was assured that I would be taken care of. Yesterday I was told that I would not get my glasses after spending over $900! I'll be taking them to court. Do yourself a favor and please don't punish yourself by going here! I got my prescription filled here and loved the staff. I had my own designer frames and they filled the prescription in them perfectly. My frames are Gucci and other places would not use my frames for my prescription. Glasses were filled promptly. The staff here is so sweet so personable. UPDATE: I did speak with Dr. Wise, and the only update that I would care to make is that not only have I lost respect for the office staff, but the Dr as well. He blamed ME for not knowing about this $75 contact "fitting" that they did WITHOUT mentioning it in advance, thus I did not know that this "fitting" was #1 a separate charge and #2 Not covered by my insurance. Again, the office billing/insurance person "Susan" needs alot of education,(in my opinion). She could not see the words in black and white....that is (or should be a problem). See my photo attached. I understand that Dr.'s will take up for their staff no matter how much wrong they do, but I was surprised by this Dr. Case closed. My only advise to consumers, STAND UP FOR YOURSELF...(If you choose to go here especially) but truly..anywhere you go, Call the Insurance company yourself so you do NOT get taken advantage of. read more

As glasses wearers, we have been coming here for years. Easy appointments, and average staff. What keeps me here is the quality of the doctors on staff, you are not just seeing an optician, you can come here for other issues. They are always very upfront about what our insurance covers, and our cost. My husband tried contacts this year, and the doctor helped him try a few different brands, but due to an abnormal eye they just didn't work out, so they only made him pay the exam fee. They have a really good selection of frames, and I am extremely picky. Going online may be a few bucks cheaper for contacts, etc. but I would rather support a local business with good doctors who will take care of me. read more

I came in today to get an eye exam for some new contacts. The doctor insisted that I get daily contacts rather than my usual monthly. I tried them on and instantly disliked them. I was feeling very frustrated about my visit because I felt like my exam was rushed by the doctor. I had zero intention of returning to Vision City. BUT THEN!!! The lovely Avery came to my rescue. Avery made my experience 100 times better. She helped change my prescription from the daily's that the doctor prescribed to monthly. She even sold me on some amazing glasses!!! I am FURIOUS! I set an appointment for my fiancé the day before and alerted them to his previous unsuccessful cornea transplant years ago. When he showed up for his appointment they denied him service because he only has one "good" eye and the doctor won't accept a possible liability. They couldn't call one of us and let us know? They couldn't tell me that on the phone?! They decided it was better for them to discriminate against his condition and truly made him feel terrible about something he has no control over. He needed new glasses and contacts but just for his one good eye. How the hell can a doctor be "America's Top Optometrists" by the Consumers Research Council of America and turn away patients for liability reasons?! Isn't every single patient some sort of liability? read more

Did not have an eye doctor on this side of town. So thought I would check this place out. Should have know better than use one with big coupon in paper. But it is hard to find reviews of people. So that's why I thought I would write this one. I have insurance and wanted to get some contacts. They then proceeded to upcharge me because I have a copay on my contact fitting random fifty dollar charge. Then they sell me a years worth of contacts they are about 120$ more than 1800 contacts, now I know they have a store to run but come on. Anyway hope this helps someone, go someplace else read more

Visited this facility today at noon shortly after they opened, just as they advertised. However, what was NOT mentioned, was that there would be no lab services on Sunday. Had I known this, could have really saved myself time and a headache! Then was informed that the cost of a clear lens (had just had cataract surgery, needed only the left) would be $70......nope, won't be back to this provider, and will not recommend it to anyone. read more

I have been going to Vision City for a little over 2 years, the Doctors, are what have always kept me coming back, however, I went this year, ordered contacts, in January, it is now April 7th, and still NO CONTACTS, they have provided me with temp pairs, but when you speak with the office, they act like they are doing you a favor and you are annoying them. I called and spoke with someone about it, they didn't even apologize for it, then called back got the same person (Nikki) ask to speak with the office manager, she hummed and then told me that was her.....enough said huh? I will find another eye doctor. Dr Wise is amazing, but he seriously needs to re-evaulate his staff.
