He recommended and used lenses to demonstrate how the changes would impact my vision quality. While waiting to see Dr. Carter, I decided to review their extensive selection of frames. Mandy Roger-Gay, a Lead Optician, introduced herself and assisted me in finding frame options. My choices were made with her assistance before the exam (I knew I would need new frames as mine had broken). I have worn prescription eyewear for almost 60 years, since second grade. I have never had a more thorough and informative eye exam than the one conducted by Dr. Carter. I have never enjoyed more assistance and courteous service than Mandy's. For those people who don't know, South Eyeworks Group is the site of a well-established, well respected optometric center. On September 24th, the day before, I went there for my annual, comprehensive eye care examination. It's my yearly, vision wise ritual I started 11 years ago in 2015 after my successful cataract surgery. My annual exam went very well. Which always leaves me with a comfortable feeling of ease. Now back to yesterday, September the 25th. I had returned back to the South Eyeworks Group site at 4631 Hulen Street because there at the same site there is an adjoining eyewear shop section of their business where new eyeglasses can be purchased. I went there. I hadn't purchased a new pair of reading glasses in 11 years. Around 9:40 AM, I entered the glass door entrance to a space area that was a combination of an office work area and a large display section featuring many dozens of pairs of eyeglasses for sale. Within seconds of me entering the room area, a woman employee looked up from her desk and computer and pleasantly asked me if she could help me. I told her yes. I stated that I just had my eyes examined the day before. I continued on by telling her, that all went well with the eye exam, but I was still considering buying a new pair of eyeglasses. But first I had some questions I wanted to ask before I made up my mind. The woman smiled and welcomingly motioned me to come sit in the chair adjacent to her desk so we could talk about eyeglasses. Now I won't go into a lot of details about the informative discussion we had about glasses. But I must say, I enjoyed talking to the nice, amiable young lady sitting before me who's name I learned from her was Elida Rodriguez. She answered all my questions in a clear understanding manner. After I decided yes. I told Ms. Rodriguez that I was ready to buy a new pair of glasses there. With a smile, she excused herself, got up and went to gather up a number of eyeglasses that were in my price range. She soon came back with them. After I held, examined, and tried on some of the well-picked glasses that Ms. Rodriguez had chosen for me. After a few minutes, I picked out a pair of eyeglasses that I liked more than the others. And I purchased it. In closing, I have to say that the time I spent with Elida Rodriguez was time well spent. She was a joy to engage in a conversation with. She was a very pleasant, competent woman. And may I add, in my opinion, it's exceptional employees like her that are the cornerstones of successful businesses like South Eyeworks Group, Inc.
