Once I was back from work travel I went back in and picked out a frame for my new glasses. Once they arrived I was notified but when I went to pick them up they were not what I had ordered. They were the wrong frame! The manager said that she would put the lenses in the frame that I had ordered once I was able to try them on they were the wrong lenses too. They told me I would get used to them ,,,, They did not check to make sure they were the correct prescription. I said no they are not right I am looking through a fish bowl. They rescheduled me a second eye exam . .. while at my second eye exam I asked the lady if she was going to get the glasses I ordered She said when I go to the room for the eye doctor yes. When she came back she wanted me to put them on and read the wall. I did but had to take the off immediately. she told me to read the wall with them on. I told her I was looking through a fishbowl and that my migraine was triggered. I got up immediately and said forget it I want my money back . I told the lady at the desk I wanted a refund she said that she needed to have the manager do it and the manager was not there. I said to call her. The eye doctor came out and wanted to know why did not want the second exam. I told him they ordered the wrong frames and the lenses are wrong I'm looking through a fishbowl. If I am fine with the contacts that he prescribed and while doing the first exam I should have been fine with the glasses but they ordered the wrong material completely and blamed me for it. And I got pissed. A vestibular migraine effects all of your senesce and since I put those wrong glasses on this morning I am set with a migraine for the entire day! They will not return my money from their mistake, I also used my eye insurance. And since I have to travel for work the next few weeks I have to go yet another month without the refund and I also have not way of getting to a new place for an eye exam that I have to fully pay out of pocket because MyEye Dr. will not give me a refund on the mistake that they made.

They either got foggy before lunch or actually hurt. I read about Dr. Bass on a Facebook keratoconus group and made an appointment. I am so glad I did. He and his staff are so nice. He tried some tester lenses on me in his office and found the right fit for me. When the lenses with my prescription came they were great, but Dr Bass thought he could get them better, and he did. I can wear my new lenses all day long with no fogging and no pain and I can see so much better than I could with my glasses. If you need a new eye doctor definitely give Dr. Bass a try.

WARNING! These are…read morethe facts: I just walked out of an appointment. They claimed they took my insurance; I made an appointment. Arranged to take time off work to come here. I arrive and they tell me that I have to pay a $39 fee for some random eye scan technology. AND it is not covered by insurance. They will not take no for an answer. I read the paperwork, and it said it was required. They said the Dr will not see you unless you agree and get the scan. So, I left. Those were the facts. This is not an opinion. This is what literally happened to me. The following is my opinion based on consumer protection, patient care and ethical principles: This is the issue: They wait until you are there to tell you. This was not told to me on the phone when I made the appt. They could have told me it was required. But they prey on people who, like me, took time off of work so the people feel desperate. Very predatory. I have paid my eye insurance money so that I can get a visit there for no charge. That was what the agreement with the provider and the insurance company was. In my life, I have never had this eye scan done. I don't care if the "dr" thinks it's great. It's an attempt to open your wallet. I have had it offered by other optometrists and it is always OPTIONAL. In fact, Eyeworks, down Hulen, offers this scan for the same price but it is OPTIONAL. NOT REQUIRED. This is the age of surcharges, fees, taxes and tips. DO NOT GO HERE. There are plenty of other optometrists in Fort Worth that do not attempt to tack on last minute charges. Oh! Also, while I was in the facility, the people locked the door. Maybe for safety? However, this is against OSHA law and against fire code. Please consider that as well. If the place catches on fire, you are locked in.

My daughter (6) was having trouble reading the board at school even while wearing her glasses so I decided to bring her here despite two other optometrists insisting that she didn't inherit the BVD. Dr Conte was able to diagnose her with BVD and write her a prescription to help, with the possibility of vision therapy in the future. She has ADHD that we are struggling to treat and she was very hyperactive in his office. Not only was he calm and patient with her but he told us that there's a link between BVD and ADHD and gave us a copy of a book that he wrote about it. So far it is a good read, and it's short and easily understood. Both Doctors are great and we've had good experiences with the rest of the staff as well. They do thorough testing for me for other specialists I see that need to know how my retinas and optic nerves are looking to know the progression of other chronic disorders. I had no idea this kind of eye care even existed previously. I had so many issues with my eyes in battling life long Lyme disease and I was very worried I would lose my eye sight. I LOVE not having to adjust my contacts when they blur up on me or constantly scoot my glasses back into place. I LOVE the freedom of just going without thinking about these things. The annual follow up appointments with Dr. Zaffos are always brief & productive, but because of the wait, we'd be lucky to be out of there in 1.5 hours. The typical time we spent there is 2 hours, with 5-10minutes of the actual doctor visit.
