    Greek yogurt bowl
    Kara M.

Beautiful views, great menu, and solid food for a ski town. Probably one of the better meals we had throughout our stay, albeit a bit pricy, but at this point if you're going to spend $50+ on lunch, you may as well get the good stuff! Our server was also excellent. We went in for a late brunch/early lunch. The menu offered mostly breakfast items with a few salads and sandwiches. The French dip is 100% worth the money - it was so good! Perfectly cooked, soft, tasty bread, great horseradish and au jus. Add the truffle fries for the perfect side. Avocado toast was okay. Bread was soft but the avocado was minimal and sliced vs. mashed and spread. The smoked salmon add-on was generous and very fresh. The Greek yogurt bowl is pricy but hits the spot if you enjoy berries, tart Greek yogurt, and a sticky Colorado honeycomb. Overall, we very much enjoyed our visit and regret not eating here more often throughout our stay!

    Sun setting over Wilson

Sitting on the patio at Altezza watching the sun set over Wilson is a must do experience. Best view in Telluride. The food and drinks are delicious. I also love that I can bring my kids or have a girls happy hour and the atmosphere works for both. 10/10. I recommend the steak with a great glass of wine from the never ending wine list.

Wonderful! My boyfriends planned thanksgiving dinner, so I did not know what to expect. I was so impressed with it all. The hotel location, the restaurant, the service and the food were all exceptional. We decided to have a lunch/dinner and arrive around 20 minutes early at 3:00pm. We were seating by a large window and our coats were taken. The views were unreal, so beautiful and we got to see a plane land as well. They had a preset dinner around $90 per person and it was so worth it. Three course meal which did not disappoint. It was so plentiful; you can best believe that we had leftovers. The Salmon was my favorite, but everything was so tasty. Jeannine was our waitress, and she was phenomenal. She was working on Thanksgiving Day which I'm sure was difficult and yet she was beyond friendly, professional and great at her job. Also, the blonde maitre'd at the front who took our coat was so nice. She was another standout for this meal. This experience couldn't have gone better (minus a mild dress code, there was a mother and son near us who were very drunk and loud in a t shirt) but that wasn't a big deal. I highly recommend for Thanksgiving dinner, and I look forward to coming back to try a date night here. Wonderful 5/5 experience!

Spectacular views and great service from the restaurant staff. If you stay there kids 10 and under eat free. I appreciated the restaurant and bar hours were later and allowed for flexibility in when to eat. We ate multiple meals at the restaurant. I enjoyed the elk. The rest of the food was perhaps a bit over priced for what we received. Food Allergies | Huge shout out to the chef and staff at Altezza. The chef came out to speak with us about our boys food allergies to help us all feel better. We ordered steaks with salt and pepper, broccolini with olive oil and steamed rice. The pours and cocktails were reasonably priced at the bar and I was able to try a few local whiskey brands. Travis was a great bar tender and remembered my everytime I walked in. See video of bar

Excellent bar and restaurant. We had a delicious dinner of elk tenderloin and trout plus a wedge salad and strawberry shortcake for dessert. Waiter was in training and was very attentive until the very end. View is excellent but it was cloudy.

Honestly, did not have high expectations and was pleasantly surprised! We came in for brunch for my birthday and I received a complimentary glass of champagne to start. I ordered the muffuletta and was suggested to get the truffle fries on the side (great rec!!). My partner got the burger which was just so-so he said but WOW was is picture worthy (mine doesn't do it justice... don't judge). We were all very happy with our choices and the views were pretty unreal. Disappointed as there was supposed to be live music during Sunday brunch but not a knock to the staff here.

Come here for the sunset views. Just spectacular. Food is good and comforting. The Etouffee is a signature from the home of the Louisiana chef. Good service, not outstanding, satisfactory. Large quiet dining room. Good wine selection by the glass. Panoramic sunset views are worth the trip.

    Sunset view from our table

One of the most amazing dinners of my life! I will remember this experience for a long time. After a dreamy golden hour gondola ride from Telluride to Mountain Village, we got to the restaurant just in time for an amazing sunset over the San Juan Mountains. We were about 20 minutes early for our reservation, but the hostess seated us immediately anyway. I was in awe of our view of the snow capped mountains and golden aspen trees the whole time we ate. Our waitress was great, super friendly and attentive. And the food was great, I had the elk tenderloin. Delicious! At our waitress' recommendation, we had the seasonal peach cobbler, and it did not disappoint! Everything was amazing. I can't wait to go back one day.

When I saw some of the menu I wanted to try a couple of things. The deviled egg sounded intriguing & I saw the lemon cake was GF. The deviled egg came out like something you would see at a Michelin starred restaurant. The deviled egg was served in the eggs shell with a custard at the bottom and egg white foam on top. It tasted just like a deviled egg but super unique. The lemon cake was great too. My drink was like a vesper with grapefruit flavors, it was really good. I love how the space is very warm and cozy like you'd see at a mountain resort, a fireplace, couch, etc. What was underwhelming was the service, it just didn't measure up to the food, drinks and ambiance. We had to walk up to the bar to get our waters filled so it felt kind of self service, like you had to get up and ask for things. Mind you, there were 4 people seated there including us. And when I asked what made the lemon cake GF the bartender said he'd go & ask the kitchen but he said no one was there so he didn't know so I rolled the dice & ordered it anyways. I still would come back just not expect great service.

Our party witnessed Kenny having multiple glasses of wine throughout the evening, and this likely contributed to our issues. After a delicious meal and experience we were presented with a receipt that erroneously stated we had one more drink than we ordered. The meal was over $800, so a $20 drink error should have been corrected with no issues. However Kenny insisted he was correct, and then we overheard him say to cancel our reservation. 30 minutes after we paid (including the extra drink we did not order) our Open Table reservation was canceled so now we can't leave a review on Open Table. Let me give you the deets: First of all...it is up at Mountain Village. The Little Bar at the Lumiere (per OpenTable.com), is nicely located at the intimate 28-room* Lumiere Hotel (near the gondolas). You take the garage elevator to the 4th floor and voila...swanky, cozy, elegant lounge. It is IMHO (in my honest opinion) TELLURIDE'S BEST KEPT SECRET! A Conde Nast top 100 hotel...and the bar + restaurant is exceptional. Lumiere Little Bar staff Kat and Alex took excellent care of us as we selected a cozy corner of this beautifully understated, mountain cozy bar lounge. The fireplaces, lounge tunes (think Zero 7 and Bitter:Sweet), and ambiance here are like a Four Seasons private residence lounge, but with even better food! I knew we were in for a treat when we asked each of these lovely Lumiere ambassadors what they like on the menu, and both were GUSHING about the food...and both struggled to find the words to explain just why the dishes tasted so good. It was geniune...honest...they were still gushing. We started to get the idea that perhaps we were going to be amazed with our dishes no matter which ones we chose. We chose items based on their recommendations: the caesar salad, short rib taco, mushroom lasagna. We weren't starving since we had a large lunch, but we were eager to see what all this fuss was about! First up was the bread basket. It included a couple of lovely, warmed ciabatta rolls (whole grain wheat and plain) with salted butter. Excellent, traditional start. Then the caesar. The caesar dressing is amazing. Magic. Made with...love? The balance of lemon, garlic, white anchovy, the texture of the parmesan...wow. Best caesar in memory. Truly. Then, the short rib taco. OMG. Three letters. F*c%$ng Awesome. Fourteen letters. Either way, it rocked. The flavors in it...salty, tangy, sweet...umami. Perfection. The lasagna...WOW. Three letters again. F*c7$ng Incredible. You do the math. Meantime, I'm eating the lasagna. (Diversion - that's my strategy.) The lasagna...deconstructed to a certain degree with a melange of vegetables and lentils off to the side, with a gorgeously fried tofu cube...the crispy lasagna pasta layers atop creamy goat cheese, ricotta...mushrooms. Right about now, I started to formulate my strategy to maintain room for dessert. That lemon tart with chocolate, hazelnut crust, vanilla whipped creme and berry compote...definitely had my number. As in 911. Urgent and immediate attention required. The dessert arrived and you know you love someone (or you're just pretty mind-blowingly thoughtful) when you put down your fork and say, "...oh no - you go ahead and eat the rest. I'm full." I did not even remember to take a picture before devouring it. I could have eaten an entire tart by myself. Not one 'dessert' portion. The whole tart. I can peddle up the mountain again tomorrow to burn those calories, I think to myself. Piece of tart, err um, I mean cake. I learned that Chef Eamonn O'Hara is the magic man behind the curtain. I think we ought to erect a monument in his name. My guy suggested an addition to Mt Rushmore. I say Rushmore isn't thinking big enough. Yep - it's passionate, head-over-heels-love at Foodie first taste Mr. O'Hara. Meantime, I guess we'll just have to go back tomorrow night for another dining revelation as we figure out to get this guy's magic to reach us back home in Boulder, CO. For now, I just say make this a MUST DINE while in Telluride or the surrounding, say, 500 miles. Alex, Kat, Chef Eamonn...You da bomb. We'll see you in 24. *18 guest rooms, 10 residences as we learned. In any case, it's intimate, charming and understated.
