    Buttermilk Chicken Rice Bowl

Come early for happy hour for delicious food, discounts, and attentive service. Family and I shared Grilled Brisket Nigiri, Buttermilk Chicken Rice Bowl, Pork on Pork Ramen, and the Raw Berry Bar. I enjoyed everything but my favorites were the Grilled Brisket Nigiri, and the Pork on Pork Ramen. I don't typically enjoy ramen but I loved this ramen.

Interesting concept. Bbq fused with Asian. My friend and I were so intrigued by the menu, we decided to try this place out. I opted for the salt and pepper shrimp! 5 generous sized butterfly shrimp served with sweet chili sauce. So delicious. Our server, Jackson, was awesome too. Before we leave Telluride, we are hoping to go back and try their ramen!

Food was delicious! Service was great as well! Highly recommend. We split a pork belly bowl and were stuffed! Tons of flavor!

Wow! I haven't had this much fun in a small restaurant/bar in a long time. We were in town for an event, and one of our stops was Wood Ear. The staff were super kind, and they crafted some amazing drinks and snacks. I mean, I would eat that edamame guacamole daily. Super cool place--can't wait to return!

Absolutely amazing food. The brisket is on point, flavorful and tender. All appetizers we got were 5 stars. The brisket rice bowl is superb. Do not miss this stop in Telluride. Easily the best food in town.

Such a cute Asian restaurant right on the main street. We walked here from our Airbnb and wanted to sit upstairs but was full so we opted for the downstairs bar which has the restaurant attached to it. We sat at the bar and each had a drink, which were delicious but a little bit more on the expensive side. We had brussels sprout appetizer with a balsamic glaze and they were just what we needed. I wanted to try the Ramen, but, the price was way higher than I would normally pay for a bowl of soup. Not very many Asian choices while in the city of Telluride and being on the main strip, there isn't too much parking, but definitely high-end Asian flare.

BBQ ramen fusion with an extensive cocktail selection. Love the brisket nigiri. Tried the brisket ramen the first time I went here, so opted for the del maré seafood ramen this time. The saffron lobster miso broth was nice. The flavors and textures of the add-ins seemed a little disparate at first, but once everything soaked in the broth for a bit it seemed more cohesive. Fun vibe and great drink selection. Would be fun to check out the upstairs canopy bar next time.

Went there during the last day of the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival during happy hour for an early dinner. The dining area downstairs and the bar have a casual, character filled vibe. Service was excellent - our server had lots of good recommendations and was wonderfully attentive. We had a variety of cocktails that were quite good (i had the Lemony Snicket). For appetizers we shared two of the Banh Mi sandwiches, the Brussels sprouts (extra crispy and delicious) and the buffalo cauliflower. The sides with the Banh Mi were good too - wasabi salad and the waffle fries. For entrees we had the pork on pork ramen (split between two people which was perfect given the apps and drinks we had). Noodles were good and the flavors were delicious with the one downside of it being super salty. (Too salty to enjoy/drink the broth). I asked for extra wood ear mushrooms which they accommodated and that added a lot of character to the dish, too. Friends of ours had the buttermilk chicken fried rice and were happy with it. Would definitely recommend this place for a unique, fun, and flavorful fusion of tastes.

Chicken rice bowl with a side of honey mustard

Probably the most disappointing meal in Telluride. I got the chicken rice bowl with the honey mustard. To begin, the chicken is pretty much 5 small pieces of fried breaded chicken- basically boneless chicken wings. A pile of carrots and some snips of Brussels sprouts leaves, a scoop of rice and a side of sauce. Really not much of a meal at all for the price. It didn't look like it was a well prepared meal, just a mess of pre packed stuff thrown in a bowl. The service is pretty good. Atmosphere is cool. I sat on the couch along with someone else's meal within the cushions. A very expensive dining experience that wasn't worth it. I did forget to mention we had a party of 6. Five of us almost finished our meals before the final meal arrived. Not acceptable. Just a simple I'm sorry that took so long.... A simple free app or something would have been appropriate.

Stopped in to Wood ear for a cocktail and was not disappointed. The drinks were very good, this is a place to let the bartenders practice their trade. Didn't eat, but would like to give it a try sometime. The place was packed on a Friday night in Telluride, very cool Western vibe.

Heading down the stairs to Wood Ear, I was a little anxious about what we'd find - turns out to be a really charming space for comfortable eats and drinks. Not only that, we were fortunate to have terrific service that was detailed, professional and genuinely friendly: what a great representation of what Telluride has to offer. And so's the kitchen: the food is really delicious and the vaguely Texas/Asian fusion thing really works. I found the prices to be reasonable and I went away staggeringly full - not always the case in the foodie restaurants I sometimes visit. Book reservations for dinner - Wood Ear gets packed (for good reason). I can't wait to return, myself. One note: if you're concerned about eruction (medical terminology) or "repeating" (polite social term), you might want to avoid the Brussel's sprouts chips. Mercy! They're delicious, but - well, even simethicone couldn't keep them from asserting themselves throughout the evening. Not usually an issue for me, but - yikes. I think I'll pass on them next time.

I called the restaurant about 5 days prior to my Rez and they were able to accommodate adding two to my party. An already great start to my experience without stepping foot into the restaurant. The exterior and interior of the building are way cute but holy cow did the food shine here. My friend and I shared the French onion soup, the steak tartare, and the filet mignon entree. Literally all 10s. I would say don't skip the soup or the filet. The soup was so rich with flavor and honestly might be the best rendition I've ever had. The filet had this amazingly rich sauce and it was paired with bites of lobster. I haven't stopped thinking about it. The steak tartare was also so good. I've never had it before so it's hard to compare but I really enjoyed it! Our server was attentive and so knowledgeable about the food and drinks. I think his name is Bruce but might be wrong about that. I would say snag a reservation if you can cause this place is not to be missed. A well deserved 5 stars!

Turned out we had reservations on one of the last nights they are open before the Festival starts. They apparently are sold out during that entire festival to a large publishing company. We were in luck! It was one of the best (French) meals I've had since I was in Paris. I will just show you our meals in pictures. The service was impeccable. Steven, our server, was accommodating and professional. The ambiance was small and intimate. It wasn't inexpensive, but worth very penny. I would go back in a heartbeat. Next time. One of the biggest perks is that dogs are welcome inside as long as they're on a leash, which was a huge plus for us traveling with Luna. I ordered the peach vodka slushy, and it was delicious--light, refreshing, and not overly sweet. The bartender was incredibly friendly, helped us choose our drinks, and took the time to chat with us for a bit. Based on his recommendation, we even ended up buying a bottle of bourbon to take home. They don't serve food, but they do have small bags of chips available if you want a quick snack while enjoying your drink. We also learned that Telluride allows open containers in designated areas, so you can take your drink to go if you purchase it from a participating establishment, which was a fun bonus. The décor is warm and inviting, and the overall atmosphere made us want to stay longer. Excellent drinks, outstanding service, and a dog-friendly environment--highly recommend stopping in if you're visiting Telluride!
