Excellent choice for a locally-based company; fast and friendly service…read more While doing a regular maintenance on our water treatment/softening system (we are on well water) we noticed that the water heater that serves half the house was leaking from the bottom. Since we have owned the house since 2003 and we had never replaced it, and the house was built in 1992, it was most likely the original installation. Based on reviews, and their initial responsiveness, we contacted Dr. Drain to do a free estimate. April was very pleasant and attentive on the phone and arranged to have Ryan assess the needs and return in a matter of days to do the installation. We were very satisfied with the service from start to finish!

She…read morehad used this company earlier in the week so it seemed easiest and most logical to have them come out again . Big mistake . The guys were polite. One was an "apprentice" and not too quick . They arrived late ( about 930, though the appt was for 9 and the receipt claimed they began at 8 .) They assessed the problem and went to buy the parts needed ( which according to the receipt was a 20$ kit that also never came with a verifiable receipt and that they drove 13 miles to find (round trip ) and I live 4 miles TOPS round trip distance from ace hardware & two grocery stores . ALL OF THIS - the 13 miles trip for the "20$ shower drain gasket kit" took 1.5 hrs which I was billed for and have no way to verify. ) The apprentice for the most part was installing it as a learning moment ( which I am all for teachable moments but not when I am paying $200 per hour), but was not quick at all . The entire process lasted 3 hours and the installation itself despite the slow pace of he apprentice was the quickest part ( 30 mins). For something I could've done ... I paid $600.00. I will not EVER,EVER, EVER use or recommend this company again . This was a huge mistake . Save yourself and use Matthew's plumbing solutions - it's a night and day experience !!

Glen stopped by and quoted me $190 cash to replace a valve, he mentioned that might be the problem. The $190 is fair, although it's a $19 part repair, so agreed. The job was done in about 5 minutes, we had running water and a toilet that flushed. Glen quickly left after I paid him cash. I went to the restroom to ensure everything was fine and noticed the water was still leaking and pouring out of the toilet near the valve that Glen had just fixed. I shut off the water, and called Glen. I mentioned I would simply buy new toilets to resolve the issue completely . Glen quoted me about $450 to replace two toilets: I purchased NEW toilets and was ready to get them installed. . I asked if he could please ensure the toilets would properly flush, and ensure I have no drain issues. Glen mentioned "if I have to run line to check your drains it's going to be a lot more than just $450". At that point I just felt frustrated, I felt up charge at every point of my house, we agreed to not have anything done. Overall it was a bad and did not feel like an honest experience. I should have just done the work myself.

Was told by the lady that answered the phone, she saw the service request and had forwarded the information. The plumber actually called us in 20 minutes.... asking to speak to Mina...ummmm - wrong name. We called back and told him we were waiting on him to call us back - he said that he wouldn't able to get to the plumbing issues today and tomorrow was questionable.... but it's 'after hours' hence my confusion.
