Updating my review after seeing the owner's response because it's honestly misleading…read more I gave more than two weeks' notice, yet I was still pushed into "rush" pricing that didn't align with my actual timeline. Also, I was clearly told there would be no fittings for my wedding dress -- so it's confusing to now see claims about multiple fittings being standard. That was not what I was offered. For comparison, I went to a larger, cleaner, more established alterations studio and was quoted $900 WITH fittings included for similar work. Meanwhile, I was quoted $1,600 here WITHOUT fittings. That price difference speaks for itself. I'm sharing this so other brides understand exactly what they may be quoted versus what's actually included because transparency matters, especially this close to a wedding.

I have been using this tailor for a few years and their prices have steadily been increasing over…read morethe past few years, to the point of ridiculous. But, I have continued to go because they do good work, or at least they used to. Last month I brought a zipper to be fixed in, and I needed to bring it back. Today was the last straw. I brought a pair of jeans in for a simple hem. Price was excessive, but they measured and I just left them. The day they were suppose to be ready (a week later) they called to say they would not be ready until noon. OK, went at 12:45 and they not even been started yet. I said, "It's a simple hem", I was informed that they get hundreds of hems a week. That is not a reason for them to not have items ready when promised. I took my pants and left. Good for them, hope their hundreds of hems keep them in business because they have lost me as a customer forever. Will never go back.

My black canvas purse had torn and two other places didn't even want to try the repair. This shop…read morenot only completed the repair, but they went beyond the basic repair, matched up the metal rings to make the bag look more polished than it was when I first bought it, and sewed unobtrusive black leather patches over the canvas around the rings to make sure that the rings wouldn't tear through the canvas again. Some women have collections of purses in different sizes and colors that they accessorize daily. I don't. I seek out and acquire one sturdy but lightweight black fabric purse (with multiple pockets and compartments that can keep me organized) that I use all the time except for very dressy occasions, and generally, I use that bag for years until it's no longer usable. I set up the bag so that each pocket or compartment holds very specific items, and I become very accustomed to how it's set up. I hate having to change bags. This shop understood exactly what I needed, and went above and beyond. The next time I need that kind of repair, or any alterations, I'm coming back to this shop. The repair wasn't cheap, but it was worth every penny. They do excellent work.

NOTHING was cleaned and there were still stains on the clothes and it DID NOT smell cleaned!! I seriously think this place just ironed or steam the clothes.
