Oh my goodness. I tried my bridesmaid dress on the day before the wedding and it was too small. I arrived at this location at 8 in the morning. Rose took great care of me and had my alterations done in 4 hours. SAME DAY! She was nice and polite. I would recommend her anytime. Great job. I was very much impressed... read more

They are great and fairly priced. Rose was very quick to hem six pairs of curtains for me. They turned out awesome and had a perfect measurement. I would definitely be bringing more work for them. read more

I always take my pants here to be altered and they do a great job. Friendly service and fair prices.

I'm so glad I found Rose to do the alterations for my wedding dress. She is very quick, detailed, and personable. My dress was too long and I needed a bustle. She explained all the different types of bustles that would work with my dress and which one she thought looked best. When I picked up my dress and did my fitting it looked perfect. She also took the time to explain how to take care of my dress because of the material. Took about a week to finish and prices are reasonably fair. Thank you, Rose! read more

The first time I went to see Rose was about 4 years ago I took a triple XL Oakley ski jacket in and needed to make it an extra large. She looked at it for probably five minutes thinking of different ways to make it smaller and yet not change its appearance. She finally made it seem down the back of it that if you didn't know better you would think Oakley did it themselves. About a year later I changed professions and being somebody that always had a rather large neck I always had shirts that were way too big in the sleeves in the sides. I took a handful of brand-new dress shirts in there and she tapered the sides and took the sleeves in. I couldn't believe I how the shirts fit when I got them back it was incredible. Over the last couple of years I've taken many many items to her and referred her to many people that of been extremely happy with the work that Rose has done. There's been a couple times over the last several years that I went in there and needed something done in a hurry and Rose done everything I asked for and then some and never charge me anything other than the normal price. I just bought four suits today that all need some work I will be there first thing in the morning and I know she'll greet me with a smile and I need one up back by Wednesday and I'm sure I won't be disappointed. I can't comment on the negative review here but I've always been more than satisfied with everything Rose has done and will refer her to anyone. I know I've already said it but her work is impeccable her service is great and she always greet you with a smile can't say enough about the whole staff here. read more

Rose is so good! I bought an off the rack wedding dress that was made for a 5'6 body and I'm only 5'2. The problem was the bottom had very hard overlay to take off and so much detail (sequence, peals, scallops). She was able to finish it in 2 weeks at a reasonable price. I've had several friends get married and talk about their alterations taking 6 weeks and extremely expensive. While I was there I saw another bride with a complicated train and she helped her no problem too! Rose was so sweet and very personable. She does all the wedding dresses herself and has been doing alterations for 40 years. Highly recommend! read more

Rose is my wedding hero! I stupidly didn't try my dress on until a week and a half before my wedding. Once I did, I realized it wouldn't zip up all the way, I never added a bustle and it needed to be hemmed a good two inches all the way around the bottom. Not only did I know this would cost me an arm and a leg but I didn't think it could be done in the time I needed it. Rose proved me all wrong! She was not only incredibly welcoming but assured me she could get it all done at a more than fair price but it would only take four days! I picked up my dress today and I couldn't be more happy. Thank you for saving my big day!!! read more

Rose is fantastic! I needed a full-length ballgown altered in a few days, which normally would take other tailors over a week or two, and she was able to complete it, steam it, get it ready to go. She did a very nice job with the alteration, now it fits me perfectly. She was also very kind and professional, and did not overcharge. Thank you, I will definitely be coming back to her for more! read more

Rose is a wonderful lady! She worked on my bridesmaid dress for my brother's wedding. She asked lots of questions and made it EXACTLY how I wanted it to look. Rose also explains everything so that you can make an informed decision about how your piece will turn out. She added a liner to the dress because it was a bit see through and she did an amazing job on that. I will continue to use Rose and her team for years to come! read more

I brought in a 3 layer chiffon bridesmaid dress to be altered 3 days before the wedding and Rose was able to have it ready for me the next day! Our family has been coming to Rose for years and she's always been reliable! Also her prices are completely affordable and she does perfectionist work. read more

I came here entirely based on 1) needing an alterations place close to work and 2) Yelp reviews. I dropped off a bridesmaid dress on Wednesday afternoon that needed some major work - it zipped but was uncomfortably tight in the waist and needed hemming. The biggest issue I had was that I neglected to get this taken care of earlier and needed a fast turnaround - by the following Wednesday at the latest since I needed to fly out of town for the wedding. Rose advised me to come back on Monday after she let out the dress and she would mark/pin for the hem as the adjustments may shift the length of the dress. Today, I went back to try on the dress with shoes so Rose could begin the hemming. I was SO pleasantly surprised - I have no idea how she managed to do it, but the dress fit perfectly. (I actually do know how she managed to do it - she added in a fabric panel on the sides of the dress that are completely unnoticeable due to the location and her great work). She advised that she would complete the hemming today (Monday) and the dress would be ready for me to pick up anytime tomorrow (Tuesday) - earlier than what I needed. Despite how great the dress looked, I was a little nervous when asking about price - I've been in more than a few weddings and have paid upwards of $150 for alterations on dresses that needed little more than hemming and strap shortening. Rose's prices were half of what I'm used to spending and I'm very pleased with how the dress turned out - it's honestly probably some of the best alterations work I've had done. Definitely would recommend! read more

Stopped by randomly for a quick Jacket measurement. What a nice place and great staff. Definitely on my list of places to do business with

This place is great. They are kind and do all they can to help. My daughter had her prom dressed altered here and some pants hemmed. I would come back every time. Prices were decent as well. read more

Excellent customer service! Helped me with a uniform emergency and had everything ready the same day. I highly recommend for my military men and women. read more

This lady is crazy. She lost my order and would do nothing about it. Said someone would return it eventually! Urgh really crazy lady I can barely understand! Take your money and business somewhere else! read more

The team was great. My dress was beautiful but unrealistic. The top was see through and the padding was visible. They added a panel in the front which made me love it even more. They're timely and the stream of customers coming and going appeared to be repeats. I'm so happy i found this place! read more

I brought two bridesmaid dresses in and they were both done within a week. The work was perfect! She also gave me a very reasonable price ($70/dress). I will definitely go back if I need anything altered again! read more

Saw so many good reviews for this place so I thought i could trust it. Obviously, I was wrong. I took a long black dress to Rose to get hemmed (only 1 1/2 inches off) and they charged me $33 which is absolutely ridiculous just based off of the amount i got taken off but especially since the dress itself was only $40. I highly advise against going here- total rip off. read more

Fixed up my dress for my friend's Wedding last year. Quick turnaround. And it made me feel beautiful!

Everyone here is so friendly and they are quick, can do just about anything, and do it right! Absolutely love Alterations by Rose!

I took an expensive silk dress to this shop to be hemmed. Rose recommended that she do a little hem as it would look better than the folded hem the dress currently had. I deferred to her judgement. When I picked up the dress, the entire hem curled up unevenly. I told Rose I was not happy with the way it looked and she told me it was because the dress was silk (the original hem did not curl.) Then she said it was the style of hem I chose and she could do a different hem, but it would cost me more. I decided I didn't want her to touch my dress again. I paid her and had the hem fixed elsewhere. read more

Rose is AMAZING! I brought her my wedding dress that was 2 sizes too big, and had TONS of layers to it, and she altered it to fit PERFECTLY, and did it (plus 2 other dresses!) for HALF the cost the person I actually bought the dress from was trying to charge me! She is such a lovely lady with so much talent and skill, and I would most definitely recommend her to any and everyone! read more

I have used Rose for many years. She does a great job and is very professional. She has made 40 outfits for a choral group. I heard no complaints about the quality or the timely manner that Rose completed the work. She is great and I would highly recommend her. read more

I bought a wedding dress for an awesome price off the rack, but it was a size 14 and I'm only a 10. However, me being 5 months pregnant at the time of my wedding was going to be a problem so I knew I should get a larger dress because you can always take it in, but you can't always let it out. Rose took on my dress situation with the utmost confidence. She told me to wait until last minute to get it done so we could see how much my belly and breasts would grow. I brought it in a bit earlier than she suggested because I'm a nervous person. LOL. I was disappointed that she didn't stick to her originally quoted price for me that she even wrote down on paper as a promise when I first came in. She jumped it up from $100 to $300! My dress was only $400 so i couldn't possible spend that much to have it altered. However, her seeing my situation and disappointment, she worked with me on the price and we ended up agreeing on $150. I called her about 3 days before we scheduled my pickup to see how it was coming along and to see if it could get done earlier (I was getting very scared and couldn't even sleep at night.) she said she would get it done a day earlier. However, the next day she called and said it was already ready for me! I zoomed in on my lunch break and tried it on... and let me tell you. She worked MIRACLES on that dress. She turned the huge baggy size 14 into an 8 up top, 10 below (for baby room)! They are all so sweet there at the shop and she even offered to carry everything for me to the car. She does great work on wedding gowns, so if you're looking for a place to get some serious altering done, you can trust Rose. read more

I had a formal dress for a dinner party altered here. They had quick turn around and did a great job. Everyone I interacted with was so nice to me and they have good prices too. I will definitely go back next time I'm in need of alterations! read more

I've had two pants altered at this location. The first time, they left them way too long. I went back and they fixed them for free. On the second pair, they left one leg about an inch shorter than the other. I went back to get it fixed and have it taken out an inch. i got them back shorter, but still uneven. I eventually went to a more expensive tailor where they told me they botched the waist when they took them out. Alterations by Rose is cheap, but you get what you pay for. Never going back again. read more

I can not rave enough about Rose! I live in Oklahoma but my mom lives in Arlington, so I came here to do my wedding dress alterations. Rose was so helpful the entire time! I came in on Friday for my first fitting, she left town Saturday for a funeral, and had my dress (plus a rehearsal dress) altered and ready to go by Sunday! She is so personal and works hard to make her clients happy! TAKE YOUR CLOTHES TO ROSE! read more

The first time I went there was Great,Excellent I think Rose helped me. The second time the lady working the counter tried to over price the same service I just had a week ago. I found other shops in Arlington for half the price that Rose will charge and the quality is just as good. I really liked the first person that helped me and gave me a fair price. I will not be going back to Rose's. read more
