This place saved my butt when I randomly came across my dream wedding dress in the mall about 2 months before my wedding. I emailed a ton of places with pictures and my timeline asking if it was doable and they were the only ones who gave me a confident "Yes!". I just got my dress back yesterday after two appointments and I still have two weeks to go! I am very impressed with the quality of the work that was done, the timeliness, and the professionalism. I needed the dress to be taken in about two sizes, I needed a bustle added, the skirt cut, and the veil altered. I have never paid for alterations before, but I felt what they charged for all of that was very reasonable. I have some other formal dresses that have been hanging in my closet that I will definitely take to them going forward. The place is also very clean and cozy. Sadly, this business is no longer owned by Heidi. The new owners are not doing the same level of work I had come to expect from Heidi. I was charged $27 to retain the original hem on a pair of jeans. Anne just hemmed them; she did not retain the original. We all know that a Jean hem has a certain "look" and I was willing to pay for that. I took my mother of the bride satin Kay Unger dress to get it altered . They said that they could cut the top off to fit my height. Every time I would go back it was never correct. After four visits it was still wrong and her husband was rude and unprofessional and blamed me, He said we have brides that we need to attend to!! Then he said this is the last time you will be here !! Heidi was always sweet, but I will never go back because of his behavior. They never refunded my money and they left me hanging . Asked for a seam on a pair of shorts to be sewn. They did a good job on the specific part and I told the clerk that I wish she would've inspected further to see some other stitching near that area that could've been reinforced. She was obviously bothered by this and become rather rude stating that, "I only do the spot I'm told." She basically walked away after that. I didn't even ask for her to take them back, I just made the comment. Lady was rude and I definitely wouldn't want to deal with her for anymore then I had to. $10 for 1.5" of stitching. read more

We swore by this place; read my last review for reference. I've personally sent a dozen people to her these last few years, and have spent hundreds of dollars on suits and pants and coat alterations. But I cannot recommend this place to anyone anymore. In summation, me and my wife were abruptly and personally denied service by, Heidi, as paying customers walking in with a bag full of pant hemmings to complete. Heidi, looked at us in her lobby, commented that she'd recognized us, then told us in so many words that she could no longer help us with anything ever again. She'd attempted a zipper replacement of a winter coat of my wife's a few months before, failed at replacing it well; when asked to fix it, she attempted again, then failed again. We asked for a refund to repair the coat - she'd possessed for many months - somewhere else, and she agreed to the refund. A few months later, we'd decided to give her a second try with these hemmings, and were stopped in the doorway and dismissed. Not very professional, and not our fault. I dropped the coat off in the spring for a replacement of the zipper that had failed by it's own volition. She charged around $40 to replace it, but said it was tough to do. She took the money, so I assumed it could be done well. Months past with no word. When we finally inquired about it, she said it was that day coincidently done. We retrieved the coat to find the cinching ribbon had literally been sewn into the crooked mating of the new uneven zipper. We obviously asked for the cinching ribbon to be freed, and the crooked zipper be made straight. She agreed to fix it. When it came back, the crooked line was better, but still crooked; additionally, the external buttons no longer lined up at all, so the external flap wouldn't clip together anymore. All of this can be seen in the photos of the current condition of the coat she'd felt after a second attempt was done well - to this day, the coat is unwearable. Obviously, a third attempt wasn't possible with such seemingly poor quality control, so a refund was in order to stop the cycle of failures further ruining our coat. She complied to a full refund, and many months later when we'd decided to give her another try, we walked into her shop to rudely and unprofessionally be dismissed as previous problem customers. We were banned it seems - for her having wasted our time twice over many months, her having ruined our coat, and her having been compelled to refund the money for a job never completed to a standard degree of acceptability I would assume anyone would expect. This is how it happened. I wouldn't revisit alterations by Heidi again if I was paid to. We loved going to, Heidi. She literally saved the day with my wedding alterations. Literally. Such a strange and unfortunate turn of events. But, this is how things happens sometimes...I'm a fool for thinking history and rapport meant anything at all. All business around here it seems - no frills. A semi-functional quid-pro-quo, lacking entirely the communal color spectrum of old-world dealings between makers and buyers that gave the trading of money for services it's ever-fleeting warm luster. Not happy. I've been bringing in pants here for a long time and have had very little to no issues. Recently I brought in three pairs of work slacks to be altered. I made sure I wore my heels the day I dropped these off so the length will be where I need them to be. Not a single pair are the anticipated length. One pair are high waters no way to fix that. My second pair look ok with a low heel but not what I wanted for a high heel but I can live with it. My third pair one leg is noticeably longer than the other. My right leg is extremely short and my left leg I would need a low heel. I'm not sure what happened or where the communication failed but I will not be coming back. My slacks were expensive and I now have to spend the money to replace atleast two pairs. read more

I brought in my designer wedding gown after being told by so many places they were not equipped to handle altering this type of gown and the ones that were tried to charge me ridiculous amounts of money.... I am very small framed and often the smallest size in clothing is still too large around my midsection. I decided to just have my clothing altered to fit me. On a fellow Yelper's recommendation I tried Heidi out and I was not disappointed. The home that has been transitioned into her business is perfect. She has a few dressing rooms, a seating area and her work space. It is clean and she is very friendly. The minute I put the shirt on she knew what it needed without me even stating what I wanted. Heidi not only knows what needs to be done but she is professional and kind. We took my shirt on a Friday and I said I was in no rush so she had it ready one week later. Heidi got me in very quickly for a wedding dress alteration. I brought in my altered dress for a second opinion and I am glad that I did. The first set of alterations where I had bought the dress were very expensive. If I had gone here originally, I probably could have saved some money as well. She took the dress in more and I am extremely pleased with the results.
