I decided to take in a very formal gown I was wearing to a wedding to test them out before giving them 'the' dress. I was blown away. They are getting all of my business for any formal or complicated alterations I need! I am a petite 5'1" female and there was a lot of this dress that needed to be taken in and shortened. They also put in some bra cups so that I didn't have to wear a bra. It doesn't look like much from the outside of the building, and it's not in the best location. But when you go inside, you can immediately tell you're in the right place. They have high end equipment and a nice space. It was busy when I walked in, which is also a good sign. The people here are well trained and know what they're doing. The man I worked with really took his time to make sure my dress was laying properly and would fit well with his adjustments. He reminded me to stand tall so that it wouldn't be messed up as he was taking measurements. They were also able to get my dress done within two weeks! They gave it to me freshly pressed and ready to go. Awesome service. I can't say enough positive things about this place.

HORRIBLE experience. My MIL booked a consultation for my wedding dress alterations and somehow they…read moredidn't book accordingly. Janet helped me into my dress and started pinning some stuff. I asked her to pin the underboob area and she just ran her fingers over it to "flatten" it out. She started pinning the bottom for hemming which was odd to me since the top of the dress should be altered before even looking at the hem... I looked down and noticed she snagged my dress! Front and center right on the top layer, I pointed it out and she scrunched her face and tried to smooth it over and just moved on like it didn't happen!? At this point all the red flags were glaring me in the face and I kindly asked "this is just a consultation, right?" And she scoffed and said "no, you're booked with me to tailor your dress." I let her know " I'm so sorry there must have been a misunderstanding this was just supposed to be a consultation." Then she proceeded to basically tell me I was wasting her time. I just wanted to get out of there as fast as I could. I feel awful after this experience. I left in tears with a snagged dress, I don't feel like she listened to me or tried to accommodate my requests. I would NEVER trust this place with any piece of clothing, let alone my wedding dress. I am so devastated and honestly livid. Don't go here

I had high hopes for this place as the phone call to schedule and discuss alterations was VERY…read morepleasant and welcoming. But I was left more than disappointed. I recently took my dress to Gorgeous K Co for alterations and was unfortunately very disappointed with the experience. When I picked up my dress, I noticed several stains on the front. I pointed these out, and they assured me it was just water from being steamed. However, the marks appeared more like stains left from measurements, not water spots. There was a perfect cross pattern right on the front. This was especially concerning as a friend who is in the same bridal party and suggested this shop to me had an identical issue with her dress being returned with the same stain pattern. My dress was brought out to me in a child size dress bag as the owner stated she mis placed her regular size bags so not only was my dress stained, I had to re steam it. Additionally, I was told that parking would be validated, but the validation sticker provided did not work. I was promised reimbursement for my parking fees, but despite reaching out multiple times, I have yet to receive a response or any follow-up. The issues with the cleanliness of the dress and the lack of communication left me disappointed. I felt very tricked as the owner assured me she would reimburse my parking but never refunded me like promised and then stopped communicating altogether.

She asked what exactly I was looking for, was very thorough in making the measurements and then told me she'd have it done within a week. I was very grateful because I had procrastinated in getting alterations and needed it done quickly. When I came back, I paid what was agreed on, and the dress looked and fit great! I've had alterations done somewhere else in Overland Park where I had much less done to the dress for more than twice the price I paid here, and the quality of the work was done very sloppy. Needless to say, I was very happy with the outcome of my dress.

I've sent two garments that had serious moth holes in them to Amazing Garment Repair. The work AGR…read moredid is, as their name suggests, amazing. They are thoroughly skilled in the French reweaving technique with such results that on the one garment I was unable to find where exactly they did the work -- the damage was fixed with nary a sign. The work on both garments -- both suit jackets -- was done in obvious places: the upper back on one and the right sleeve on the other. They were challenging jobs and they are completely fixed. The turnaround time was quick respective of the skill and expertise that is required for this method of fixing. And the pricing is beyond reasonable. Listen, I hope I never have to contact these fine people again. But I rest assured that should I ever have another moth problem, it won't be the "end of the world" because the talented ladies at AGR will be there to . . . ahem . . . patch things up. I highly recommend AGR to make your holes whole again!

A good worker proves their worth as they go, not before they begin. Once money leaves your hand, it doesn't always find its way back.
