My fiancé made an appointment for a fitting at 1pm. We walked in on time, and were standing behind another couple. After a bit someone came and asked all of us in line how they could help, we told them we had an appointment for a fitting and the employee led the entirety of the line to the rental section (even though we weren't wanting a rental; as our first time ever being here, we didn't know this is where we were going). We waited in line to be helped, somehow ending up 3rd in the rental line. After waiting for a bit the couple in front of us left (guess they got tired of waiting?), and eventually it was our turn. The gentleman that helped us was wonderful and helped answer our questions and get my fiancé fitted. Biggest problem: as were were waiting I glanced around the store and there were 5 employees standing together talking/chatting. The two employees working the rental station were working their butts off to help the 4 people in that line while the others were just chatting. It seemed they just wanted to push the work off on someone else so they could talk and/or play on their phones. read more

I truly cannot imagine that any customer service or sales training of the sort is being conducted here - besides one guy actually saying hello and asking if I needed any help while assisting others. I walked in to look at a back up white dress shirt for my wedding on 10/3. Yes, I have may have broad shoulders and might not look like a extra slim when wearing a t-shirt, but those are the only styles that are tapered enough to not look extremely boxy around the torso. As I am looking in the extra slim area of the store, a lady comes over without even saying hello and says "uhh those are extra slim. We have slim and classic over here." Interesting way of greeting a customer for sure.. I let her know that I have been measured and have nice shirts from past events, but I wanted something else in case my current custom shirt was not in good shape after dry-cleaning, and I have recently been measured at Michael's where I got my suit. She stated that she was going to get a slim for me to try on (NOT extra slim like I was looking for or that I wanted). I go back and wait for her to bring out shirts that have obviously been tried on by others and she says, "I brought you a classic fit too in case that doesn't work." Well, the slim did not work AT ALL. It legitimately looked like an XXXL on me. Either she picked the wrong shirt, or their fitting is abhorrent - with that being said, she did not bring what I ACTUALLY asked for which was extra slim. I obviously did not try on the classic fit, and simply walked out. The lesson learned is that there is no reason to shop here unless you absolutely need something TOMORROW and off the rack with no tailoring is your only option. There are too many great choices around the city that will care about the customer's experience and provide them with options that actually make sense. read more

Went to get husband a suit. Husband needed a "classic" fit. They had none in his size. Said the pants would fit in a different fit. Bought the pants and ordered an extra long jacket. Husband tried on pants at home and NO BUENO. Called the store instantly to cancel the jacket. Went back to the store THE NEXT DAY to return pants and make sure the jacket got cancelled. Returned pants and was assured that jacket was cancelled and that a refund would be forthcoming. This was May 26-27. Today is June 4 and only a very small partial refund has been issued. Salesperson refused to give me a receipt for the return said it was all good and would take 3-5 days to get refund. I had to file a dispute with Am Ex card people so they will not pay them but would have been nice if Men's Wearhouse would have honored what they said they were going to do. This is not the same store it was many years ago. I went to Macy's and was able to order the same suit they had in their store, in the classic fit, and received the special order jacket in two days. MW said they could not order it. Saved me a lot of money and Am Ex will not make me pay for the disputed amount so they are only shooting themselves in the foot and we will never go there again. On the positive side they were helpful when we first got there and salesguy was good. There is no reason to shop there. read more

Walked into men's warehouse without an appointment and Thomas was delighted to help us, even though the store was fairly busy. We were able to order what we needed, came back and he was able to help us out again along with giving us some great recommendations. Although George Zimmer hasn't been part of Men's Wearhouse for almost a decade, I can still hear his words--"You're going to like the way you look". I think I mostly looked pissed off during my visit last week. My wife and I spent 15 or 20 minutes in the store looking for a couple pairs of pants. Although there appeared to be several employees working, none of them even acknowledged us--no greeting when we entered, no "Can I help you find something?" and no notice that we were walking out empty-handed. I even spent time in the dressing room trying on a pair of pants and no one seemed to care. Later that day I would walk out of Peter's on State Line after spending nearly $700 on new duds. I'm pretty sure the folks at MW are paid on commission and that would have been a nice sale. Oh well. read more

I read the reviews on here but had to go with group wedding package. I was pleasantly surprised that my experience was different than those in the reviews. I am hard to fit and picky about my shoes. Amy was wonderful working with all my doubts and uncertainties. The store was clean and well staffed. They have a lot of affordable inventory. I called this location to verify what size pants they go up to and the person working said they only go up to a size 63 waist but the website states the pant sizes are offered up to a 70inch waist. But after going into the store, we were told they don't carry anything above a 54inch waist. It would have been fine if they just said we needed to look online but we felt very shamed and the person helping us made us feel as if we were inconveniencing their day. It's as if this men's wearhouse specifically doesn't believe that people with a bigger body or waistline are deserving of nice clothing. Bigger and larger people do get married. They do go to formal events. And they deserve to be treated with respect when looking for said clothes. The employees here need sensitivity training. read more

I sent my husband here twice for wedding related suits and him and his groomsmen and every time there was something they couldn't figure out. They also had my husbands suit ready and NEVER called or reached out to him and when he did call they had him on hold for 30 minutes trying to figure out where his outfit was before they finally said they have it. My wife and I just left there. I was looking for a new suit for my niece's wedding. There were at least six employees in the store doing nothing. Not one offered to help us! They were sullen and rude! The looks on their faces told us "they just couldn't be bothered!" We left the store and drove across the street to Dillards and spent a thousand on clothing for me. Customer service needs to be taught in this establishment . We went in today looking for a suit. No one seemed to eager to assist but finally got someone to come over. When the young blond assistant came over just had no energy whatsoever ever, seemed put out by helping. Told her needed suit, she went away for about 10 min , never engaging us on price points and what might be ball park. Instead brought over what she thought was fine. Tried on fit ok but when asked about prices she quickly got more distant and looked at us like YOU SHOULD GO ON DOWN THE LINE, we might be too good for you. She literally walked away and left us in dressing room and never returned to see if we needed anything or try and sell ANYTHING!! How do you work in sales? No personality, no drive, no salesmen-ship NOTHING! You walked away and left the customer because we mentioned a price point without even trying to see if something could maybe work. Shame on this place! Not another person acknowledge us no good bye as we left, thanks for coming in NOTHING! Worst experience we've seen in customer service in awhile. Went and bought suit across the street , ended up spending more than we thought but salesperson made a $500 sale just by taking time and listening. Never will walk in this place again! read more

Renting a Tux for a formal event in Sarasota, Florida (store number 3313). Employee keyed in the wrong store number and sent my Tux to Tallahassee (3311). Had 24 hours to try and fix this and the employee I talked to actually asked "Would you like me to try and fix this?" Hmmm let me think about it... Anyway, was assured my tux would be overnighted in time for the event. Nope. Tallahassee sent Tux on a two-day shipment arriving Monday. I missed the Saturday afternoon golf event because of this and the best either store would offer was half off on a new off the rack, not tailored sports coat that I wore to a black-tie gala. Feel that a free coat should have been the least. Poor service apparently is a corporate epidemic for this franchise. read more

Absolute Worst Customer Service!! Went in serval weeks ago to buy a suit. Was during prom but no one even spoke to us. Picked out a suit and took it back to the dressing rooms. Again, NO ONE approached. After trying it on everything fit great but the pants needed a hem. Had to track down a seamstress to do the measures. Still NO ONE approached. Picked out a shirt and ultimately took everything to pay. THEN we were approached. Figured it was due to prom so blew it off. Went back today to pick up my suit and exchange the shirt for another size. I was told by one of the managers they would get the suit but I could get my own shirt.... I waited 20 min for the manager to appear with my suit, during which I found my own shirt. After trying the suit on, the manager ignored me. So I took it the desk to exchange the shirt that I had to find. Was going to get another shirt but again, no one asked if they could help and I couldn't find my size. Another manager was tracked down to make the exchange and I told him that I was going to get another shirt but since had no assistance I was going to skip it. Didn't seem to care. After spending over $600.00, I will not return!!! Gave 1 star because I had to or it wouldn't post. read more

Worst service. Came in with a friend who is a bride and we had just decided in colors for dresses and wanted to go into Mens Wearhouse to look at suit options and colors. We both work as retails managers so the first thing we noticed that out of all 5 employees there we did not get a greeting or any kind of communication. Keep in mind there was no other customers in store. The Chiefs game was on but that's not a reason to ignore customers. We grabbed swatches and started talking about options, an associate finally came over and asked if we need help but have off the attitude that he truly didn't want to help us so after a couple questions he was off to sit at the computer. So apparently if you walk in wearing blue jeans and t shirt they treat you like you cant afford anything in the store, in my case that couldn't have been further from the truth as were we shopping for my wedding outfit. We came here for a nice pair of slacks and a vest. The first gentleman i encountered quite literally looked me up and down before he barely cautiously squeaked out "can I help you?". Tried on some pants and a vest. Decided no on pants, yes on vest. We waited over 10 minutes for someone to check us out at the counter. With not even so much of a SMILE! Or ya know, any basic service industry standards "did you find everything ok?", "is there else anything we can help you with?". No, only words that were uttered were "who was your salesman?". I said "nobody" and walked out. It was like they didn't like me the instant I walked in that place, and I have no idea why. I was there and willing to spend many hundreds of dollars on their product. Bottom line, if you want to deal with some pompous smug little boys... go here. Personally I'd take my business ANY where else, especially ones that don't send me into a fit of rage and pondering laying my hands on these little dandy fellows. read more

I rented a tux here for my buddy's wedding. When I showed up to pick it up, the pants were 5 inches too long. They fixed them at the store, but it took about half an hour. The hem job also didn't hold up after a couple hours on the dance floor. Also, I should have asked, but no one told me when I was getting fitted or when I picked the tux up that I had to return it the next day. I worked the entire day after the wedding which was a Sunday and the store closed at 6. On Monday of course there was a 21 dollar late fee. I would go elsewhere if you are looking to rent. read more

My husband was badly in need of a fresh bunch of dress clothes, so off we went to this Men's Wearhouse location. We got a warm, friendly greeting as soon as we entered the store. The service was outstanding. Hubby found a gorgeous charcoal gray suit, trousers and we even indulged in a custom sport coat for him. Another associate did a fantastic job of helping find just the right shirts and ties. I'm grateful for such a terrific experience. This store is truly just bad. I spent over an hour in here trying to find clothes that fit properly. I received little to no support from them and I only found one shirt that actually fit me properly. Their sleeves can only be bought in 2 inch increments, so proper fit on the shirts can be quite difficult. That won't stop any of the employees from telling you that it fits properly. At best, only shop here when you know exactly what sizes you need and don't rely on the advice of the employees. They will tell you anything to try to get a sale and get you out of the store. Their prices are OK if you get them on sale, but just obscene otherwise. Spend your money instead at a nice department store where you can get proper clothes from a sales person that knows what they were doing. read more

I bought two new pair this year, and one had a small material defect that I did not notice until after the first cleaning. This store replaced it at no charge without hassle. read more

This store refused to let me try on dress shirts because they would have to unpin them from the packages. I had two shirts I was ready to purchase and told them I would buy two more if I could try them on. They told me to just buy the two, suggesting it was nothing personal. I spent $80 in this store and probably should have bought elsewhere. If I could give less than one star I would, and I never write bad reviews. Ironically, I went to the Overland Park Men's Warehouse at 6655 West 135th Street and got all the shirts I wanted and more spending an additional $360. Take your business to Overland Park. Lizbeth was excellent, but avoid Bryce. The most amazingly incompetent customer service experience I have ever had. read more
