Pretty pricey but you can catch good deals inside. Went here yesterday with my family before going to the airport. They have good deals at the back part of the store (70% off). Their fitting rooms are cute, and girly. It's like you're in a different place because of their interior, so aesthetic lol. They have clothing, accessories, home wear and shoes. I liked some of the clothes here. $60 for a top is too much for my budget. Others might laugh at that but raising a family is tricky when it comes to shopping and recreational fun. You have to be choosy and though I liked the clothes here, I had to walk out empty handed. read more

Each dressing room is girly, homey and inviting! The clothing is boho chic. They have clothing, accessories, home wear, and shoes. I was a bit confused by the combination of prayer boxes, dreamcatchers and Christian Rock, but I liked this store very much. It has a kind of funky eclectic feeling that reminded me of Britt from The Bachelor and Ree Drummond from The Pioneer Woman on Food Network. I loved this store and can't complain about anything they have. Everything is adorable ! I was a regular customer until I approached someone who worked there that was extremely rude today. I was going to pick up something for my mom and I already knew what it was (it was about 8 minutes before they closed) and I walk in and grab it then I'm approached by a young lady who says "just so you guys knoww....we closing." With a huge attitude and huff and puff. So I put it down and walked away. Lost my business. I understand you want to go home but your store isn't closed yet and I was purchasing something in my hand. I've done retail before, I understand that it's a long day of work but please don't be rude to your customers. read more

The management and staff is wonderful. Great mission, superb customer service, and cute clothes/accessories/decor. Whatever your "style" is, and however old you are, you will most likely find something that suits you. The only reason why I rate 4 stars is because they do need someone that is managing the dressing rooms at all times, because it can get confusing finding which one you can use your first time here. Also, they're a tad pricey; however, they have a great sales section! read more

Let me explain the reason behind the 1 star: I stopped at a mall in Short Pump, VA, on my way back to D.C. from Richmond. I noticed the cute clothes in an Altar'd State store, mostly boho-style dresses, tops, sweaters, with lace and ruffle accents just right to make them interesting but not frilly. Excellent prices, medium quality, like most affordable clothes are nowadays, but totally acceptable. So far, so good... I quickly picked up a couple of dresses for the holidays...with Christmas music playing in the background. It was, after all, December. Yesterday I was near the Fair Oaks mall and, since my motto is "leave no mall unturned" I stopped to check it out. I was happy to see an AS store with a sign of 70% off sales prices...score!! I quickly started picking dresses, tops, skirts. Then I noticed something odd: the soft rock, piped-in music was the "rocking for Jesus" kind...love songs, for the "Lord"... what was up with that??? Oh well, whatever...I was in my best shopping mental zone...better than Prozac! I spent less than $200 and came out with two huge bags filled to the brim with goodies. I did ask the girl the reason for the church music and I was told the store is a "Christian based " one...wait wha??? Since when fashion and retail have had anything in common-well except for the openly religious stores I will never set foot in? I looked up more info on line and, sure enough, this is a "christian" organization. Now, I'm all for companies donating part of their profit (1% in this case - I'm not impressed, why not all the net profit?) to charities... I just don't like the fact that they have to shove Christianity (or Buddhism or Islam or Hinduism, voodoo or any other religion) down your firmly agnostic throats in the moment when you're most vulnerable...while shopping! So what's next? You go in a smoke shop run by Rastafarians and they play reggae music?? No wait, bad example, that is happening and it's actually cool... but you get my drift. So looking at the sales receipt and calculating my savings I was thinking: "it's really too bad I won't shop there any longer, goodbye cheap cute clothes!" read more

Nice staff, friendly from the minute I walked in. This store is amazing! Very unique clothes and accessories. I recommend it!
