Alta Uptown was on the top of my list while checking out new digs here in the Valley. I'm currently "exploring options" and when I saw this property online, I couldn't wait to tour it!
As I pulled up to the complex, the parking was super easy. Just park on the street outside the leasing office. I was greeted right away by the receptionist (didn't catch her name) who went to get one of the leasing consultants to help me. She was friendly. I was given a binder of different floor plans to look at.
Not long afterwards, Kristine (or Kristina?! Sorry, I couldn't remember =/ ) came to take me on the tour of the property. I was impressed overall with everything offered here. From the spacious floor plans to the parking options, and the list of amenities goes on forever!
Among the many are: locked parcel rooms for your packages (everything is pretty much automated, so there's an app you'll have to download), a gym with all new equipment including Peloton bikes, and a yoga room, a gaming area/lounge, a secret speak easy, the list really goes on and on!
I especially liked the fact that you can fit a king size bed in the rooms. I'm not a big person, but I like rolling over without the fear of falling off the bed, lol. The vanities in the bathrooms include LED mirrors, and yay for no shower doors. Who has time or wants to squeegee?! Not me! I also love that they have 1 bedrooms with den options.
As far as location, I'm still not too familiar with the areas and currently learning the streets, but it seems to be in an industrial area. It is near shops and restaurants (but you still have to drive to them).
My experience touring this property wasn't bad at all. However, I will say that I was slightly turned off by the leasing consultant's demeanor. Although she was cordial, I could not help but feel as though I was being discriminated against.
When the tour ended and we sat in her office, I asked about the pricing for the units we saw. I was told that "most of our pricing is all online" and that was pretty much the end of the conversation. I was not given any pricing sheets, brochures or even her business card. WOW. I have NEVER been treated like I am not good enough to live here, nor have I felt that way, ever.
I am sad to have left feeling the way that I did. I was super stoked to see this place, and while I do absolutely love it, I can't picture myself being here if I was so uncomfortable from the first impression. I will say, though, that I went on to tour the next property (which happens to be their sister property not more than 5 minutes away) immediately after I Ieft here and it was a total 360° experience! I spent a maximum of maybe 20 minutes here. I hope maybe she was just having a bad day, but from what I experienced, the customer service aspect was simply not up to par. Smile more, please.
I truly hope that if you are reading this review, that it all works out for you. The property is absolutely stunning! I just can't picture myself here anymore. =(
It's a 3.5 stars for me because I love the aesthetics and amenities, but the interaction I had was not the best. Rounded up to 4 stars because of all that. =/ read more
