I had a unique dilemma that required more than just a tow - my car was stuck without power down at the end of a very narrow driveway. To make matters worse, it's an electric car and before the power died, it still had the parking brake engaged. Consider this a negative 5 star. Crooks !!!. I went to pick up my old CRV because it got took for a hot ride. Thank god the police apprehended they thief's in a short pursuit. After paying the tow fees of $278 they took 30 minutes to get my car out saying they could not start it. Fork lift pulled my car to the front minus my stereo and set of sears jumper cables. I'd recommend using a different company, but as I'm sure many people have experienced, if anything happens to your car involving the Alhambra Police Dept. where towing is involved, you will be forced to use Al's Towing. My car was stolen, and to retrieve it cost me $224 dollars even though it was gone from in front of my house less than 12 hours. They charged $176 for towing literally less than 2 miles from where it was found, and $48 for storage even though it sat in their lot maybe an hour or two, and I picked it up right away. The service is as good as the DMV. :l During my phone correspondence, I was stopped so the woman could address another phone call discussing the subject of Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2. After a stressful morning like the one I had, that is the last thing I'd like to hear. "Eff" this place for taking hardcore advantage of their contract with the police department. Terrible Customer Service. They made us stand in the rain as the bozo with a chip on his shoulder processed our police report. Our vehicle was stolen and we had to pay them $235 to get it back. If getting your car stolen along with hundreds of dollars worth of equipment and then having to pay an arm and a leg to recover it isn't bad enough, try getting slapped in the face on top of that. I called in last week to set a pick up from my home to the CHP for an inspection . We had a set time of when I needed to have my car picked up by and dropped off at the CHP we agreed on a price and the time and date! I called today 9/5/17 at 11:05 am about picking up my car the guy who answered the phone said yes we are confirmed to pick up the car at 1:00 pm Its now 1:15 and nothing so I called and asked if my car being picked up he said it will be about 35-45mins I asked is that enough time to have my car at the CHP office in Santa Fe Springs he said no I said cancel the pick up I called again and asked why wasn't I called about the pick up and time has changed he said some thing came up and they couldn't pick up my car do you only have on tow truck???? The next time you're a victim of a car theft, you're going to be victimized a second time by these people anyway, so if you have a choice, go with another local business that actually appreciates your business and offers good service. I expected to have to pay through the nose, but you would think that because of all the free money they get from their city contract, that they would be polite, helpful and efficient. But you would be wrong. For them, your time has no value and they will get to bringing you your car whenever they get around to it. You can just stand in the driveway an hour or so while they finish smoking or wanking or whatever they were doing. And don't expect an apology or thanks, just surliness and attitude. By the way, they are only open from 8 to 5 so if you have to work for a living, you get to pay an extra $92.50 to get your car out after hours. These guys are rude. They do not know what they are doing. Didn't provide any paper work to release to my insurance company. (That I wasn't aware was necessary until insurance company told me over the phone) they won't let me release over the phone and the insurance company is attempting to take my vehicle. I didn't have enough time to make it before closing time. This is a big mess. Tow drivers are uninformed on proper procedures. We had been active customers of Al's Towing for about 5 years. Each month they would transport 3 - 5 cars for service at different shops. Until last month, we never had a problem with them. However last month there was a problem which was probably nobdody's fault...there was a flat tire which occurred while a car was in their possession. We expected that they would restore the car to the condition in whioch they recieved it and that they would be courteous and apologetic. Boy were we wrong! They tried to blame the situation on everybody but themselves, and put us through 2 days of hell until we agreed to a low cost method of repairing the flat tire.The tire was finally repaired by our service vendor, which is a shop with a very high (and deservedly so) reputation. Jesse C. is the one who picked up my vehicle to the collision center in Alhambra. He is super nice and friendly. I can tell he is passionate about his job. He is professional. He first gives a walk through to my vehicle, then he made sure which part of the vehicle needs to be repaired, so that when he gets to the collision center, he knows what to tell them. After that, he gives me the name of the person in the collision that he would give the vehicle to. At last, he told me when he will arrive at the collision center. Thank God I've never had to use their towing service, but I can tell that their drivers are lacking in common courtesy. I am a senior citizen who walks in the neighborhood 5 to 6 days a week. This morning around 8:25 AM on July 10, 2017 I was on the sidewalk near a gas station (Chevron?) on the corner of Fremont and Valley. The driver had pulled up to the gas pumps but was all crooked. As I got close to the truck, which was partially on the sidewalk, the driver opened his door, got into the truck and just looked at me. I thought he would close his door as I passed but he did not. I walked away and then decided to take a photo with my camera phone. Before I could do so the driver closed the door and straightened out the truck. What a great guy! read more

This towing company is the best in the area! The employees are very honest and really care about customer service. If you need a ride to the dealer (or anywhere) with your car, their trucks are VERY clean and don't have that funky "mechanic smell" inside. The drivers are knowledgeable about what they are doing and will treat you with respect. They do a lot of towing for the police and highway patrol, so you know they are a reputable company. Because they tow for the police, they do follow the rules and you can trust them. Some of those other companies will take your stuff and sell it, but not Al's Towing. These guys will do anything to rip you off. If you get into an accident, which I hope you guys don't, the police will call Al's Towing to retrieve your car. I also had my car stolen from the Costco in Alhambra. Alhambra PD found my car and they called Al's Towing to pick it up. As a victim, I was of course very upset, but the staff at Al's was not only informative, but also quite professional.
