I was hoping to fill out a survey, but since I never received one, I'm leaving this review due to the impeccable service I received on September 19. My AAA Roadside Assistance dispatcher was incredibly helpful. Unfortunately, I don't remember his name, but my battery receipt lists 'Martinez' (he had curly hair). My car needed a new battery, and he took the time to walk me through what to watch for and answered all of my car-related questions. He was efficient in his work, yet still courteous and patient with me throughout the process. I truly hope I get this technician again if I ever need assistance in the future. I was driving down santa Anita ave this morning when a Dickson tow truck decided to drive down the middle of both lanes ( no emergency light on or anything disgusting it was on a service car) I decided to sound my horn when I did that the tow truck driver slammed on the brakes then he proceeded to tell me to pull over and fight him ... I kept going as i passed him he shouted and gave us the finger ...he continued to flow me at a high rate of speed I lost him when I jumped on the freeway.. Crazy they hire ppl that are not capable of doing a simple job like driving down the road flowing the traffic laws SAFELY WOULD BE MY PRIORITY IF I WAS THE OWNER OF DICKSON TOWNING ( I turned in the dash cam video to the authorities and was told not to make it public due to on going investigation) But will do so as soon as I can read more

I got a flat tire while on the freeway. A tow truck was dispatched from Dickson's. The driver was having a hard time removing my lug nuts. He walked back to his truck, and returned with a 4-way lug nut wrench. He started to use it, and still was struggling to remove it. He was leaning on it with all of his weight, until suddenly. The wrench forcefully fell onto the ground. He broke my rim, and then pretended that he did nothing. Definitely do not recommend! read more

This past weekend I called AAA because my car battery wasn't working, I called AAA to see if it was still under warranty, to my surprise she said it was and would send over a technician from Dickson Motor Service. when he arrived he checked my battery and said i needed a new one and was glad that he brought one with him otherwise it would take an hour for him to go back and pick it up. so he said I needed a new battery and that I have a pro rated warranty and would have to pay partial on the cost. I explained to him that AAA said it was under warranty, so I called back and another AAA agent now tells me that it isn't under warranty and I would have to pay partial, so now I'm confused because I'm being to told 2 different things. so now at this point the technician from Dickson motor service says he doesn't have the battery and can't get it until Monday. wow! after he told me he had it!. he made the comment I was just trying to get a new battery for free. I said of course I was I was told it was under warranty so I wasn't expecting to pay. so I ended up buying one from Sam's Club. such a disappointment!! The driver (Kevin) arrived on time and did an amazing job at getting my vehicle back home. He was very polite and professional. Very experienced as he had to drop of my car in a somewhat confined area and he did it with such ease. I would definitely recommend Dickson based on today's service. 5-Star Review - Dickerson Towing / Ray (AAA Service) AAA dispatched Dickerson Towing to help me with a tow early Sunday morning around 5 AM. AAA originally quoted me a 1-hour wait, and I'll admit--I was a little frustrated having to deal with that so early. I called Dickerson directly, and the dispatcher was okay--but soon after, Ray, the driver, personally called me. He was friendly and explained that he'd be heading out to help me as soon as possible. I really appreciated the direct communication and reassurance. When Ray arrived, he was professional, helpful, and respectful. If I could give NO STARS, I would!! DO NOT use this company - EVER! Today's date is Sept. 19, 2025. Damage to my car occurred on August 12, 2025. [Over $10,000 in damage] - On August 12, I drove home 25-miles from the dealership in a BRAND NEW CAR! Parked it across my home so I can move the rental from the driveway. Went back to my car, the car was locked. The Fob was inside the car with purse/cell phone, etc. -- and obviously "glitched" & should not have locked. Called AAA (Note: Am disgusted with AAA now as they do nothing!). Dickson Motor Srv. was sent to do a "LOCK-OUT" service. He spent over 30 minutes on the driver side. First, he put his bag with the zipper on top of my car against the paint. I held on to it while he attempted to unlock the door with this long metal tool that is wrapped in rubber. However, as I learned after the fact, the rubber was missing in certain areas so the metal was rubbing against the paint while he was moving the tool left to right, up and down. This went on for over 30 minutes on the driver's side. While he had front of the tool inside the window trying to land on the Unlock Button, the outer end was swinging up/down/left/right against the back door and rear panel areas. I was telling him to please be careful to not scratch the paint as I was protecting the car by positioning myself between the car and the swinging tool. He just kept on doing what he was doing ignoring my comments. I was so stressed and anxious because the tool would not stay on the Unlock Button as it would slip and scratched the plastic panel, and it hit the plastic that covers the odometer cluster. I was beside myself and getting chest pains. For a few minutes I felt like I was going to faint. I told him to call back up since he was unsuccessful. He said they were 20 minutes away. In my stress, I ran inside the house and texted my sister on the computer asking her to call my salesman at the dealership to tell him what's going on. The salesman instructed that I tell him to stop what he was doing & to call Acura Roadside. While texting I noticed he was now working on the passenger door. He had wanted to do that earlier and I told him that I had fears of possibly getting wind noise or water leaking in the car from rain or a car wash since I figured the window could not possibly be air-tight as before from all the stretching that is done to get the tool inside. He went to the passenger side anyway while I was inside texting. When I came to the passenger side to tell him to stop, I totally lost it when I noticed the plastic Applique' (as it's called) which is a plastic piece that runs up and down alongside the window ... one on each side of front and back doors. The driver side Applique was approx. 1-1/2 inches away from the rear door Applique. That is how much he had moved the glass away from it's place. I raised my voice almost in tears saying "What did you do to my car? You ruined it!!!!! I just espent $32,000 on this new car and you ruined it!!!!" As I'm saying this he says "I tried to help you" and walks away. I follow him asking him "What is your name?". In all my stress I had forgotten or can't even remember if he gave me his name. I asked three times as I followed him to the truck. He ignored me. He got in the truck and drove off. I had not seen the extent of the damage done until the 2nd two truck came which was through Acura Roadside. Ironically, they sent Dickson Motor Srv. That driver pointed out the damaged areas -- paint chipped to the metal on the roof rail on both sides as well the metal along the plastic strips that go around the windows -- again on both sides. Additionally, the plastic that covers the speedometer cluster was scratched and the plastic area where the Open/Close & Lock Buttons are were scratched on both sides. Since August 13, I have made 20-30 attempts via calls & emails to get the owner to pay so I can get the car repaired. I submitted (2) estimates. On Sept. 4, finally got a call from a supervisor in Irvine. He said he would get back to me. Today is 15 days later & I've not heard from him. Texted & emailed that I want a call today. I have no option but to take this matter to Small Claims Court. I now have a total of (4) estimates. This company is not reputable despite the 5-stars for minor tows. There's several reviews of people complaining that their vehicles have been damaged and months have gone by and they are not paid for damages. Please ... Do Not Use This Company for anything! tried to called through AAA, was stranded on the road and needed to tow. they put themselves as arrived when they hadn't and we waited 15 minutes. called AAA and they said they would be there in 10. waited another 30 minutes before calling again. I had a horrible experience with this company. They picked up my vehicle from a mechanic shop. At pickup the tow truck driver backed into my car and made a big dent on my rear passenger door. The driver asked me if I was going to report it because he could just bill me over $1k for the tow. The car was already loaded up on his that bed. I was a little shocked honestly. I mean isn't that what AAA is for and why I pay for roadside services? That is how they got the tow request. I did end up filing a claim with the tow company because it wasn't just a little scuff. I spoke with DJ who "accepted" responsibility for the damage and was willing to pay the damage based on a quote I received from a auto body shop. Long story short he dragged me along for 3 months, basically just saying yes we're going to cut a check but never actually paid up. DJ stopped taking my calls and completely ghosted me which I found to be extremely unprofessional. So I had to go through AAA who ultimately low balled me and offered me a payout that was about $1k short of the quote I received. I'm extremely unhappy with both the tow company for wasting so much of my time and AAA for not willing to cover the full cost of the damage. read more

I just delt with the most disturbing altercation with a Dickson Driver. Lic plate # 7PGW397 on tje 5 Fwy. What should have been a simple zipper merge turned into kaos. The dickson driver refused to let me in even though I was 3/4 of the way in lane. Just flipped out telling me to F off and threatening me. Road Raging with a company vehicle teying to hit my mercedes. Or acting like it. This went in for several minutes as he became more aggresivw until I took puty phone to snap photos. Pretty disturbing that this company hires people like this and to act in auch a disturbing manner in a cimpany vehicle shows he has no reguard for his job the company or anyone else. Your driver Jesus needs extensive customer service training.. he has a firecracker attitude and doesn't seem to be happy nor want to use his communication skills to interact during a AAA service call nor update on eta just shows up 30mins late no heads up! Last week I called AAA to get my Toyota towed. I told them we needed a flat bed tow truck because the car's suspension was modified. Mind you that I called AAA a few days prior and requested a flat bed to tow the same car and the guy was great. He towed it quickly and efficiently. Anyhow, this time AAA did not send a flat bed and they sent a shady looking character in an old decrepit regular tow truck from Dickson instead- not the company they said they were sending and the wrong type of tow truck. And this was 3 hours after I made the initial call. Before this, they called me from Dickson to confirm the tow and again I asked for a flat bed and they said ok. When I told the guy I asked for a flat bed he looked bothered and said he would call his buddy with a flat bed. So 2 guys finally showed up with a flat bed and they asked for a tow hitch. I've never had a tow truck driver ever ask me for any equipment before. Anyway we found one and gave it to them but when it looked like they were going to tow it from the front I told them it had to be towed from the rear because the front bumper would be damaged and they were not going to be responsible for any damages. Well this annoyed them and they got in their truck. I thought they were going to go around the block to be able to load the car properly but these dudes just took off. They abandoned us with the car and my son and I had to miss a full day's work to finally get it towed with another company. I've been with AAA for over 40 years and never have I encountered such an unprofessional group of shady tow truck drivers in my life. If I could give these guys 0 stars I would. Stay away from this company. They make AAA look horrible. Their quality has gone down big time. When you call AAA for a tow, ask what company they're sending. If it's Dickson, don't do it. On my way to Palm Springs this past Thursday morning when my Jeep started what's called a death wobble. It's a problem that eventually happens to most Jeeps, which is caused by either the suspension or steering. After leaving the 10 and finding a safe place to call AAA. My experience after having AAA for 20 years is that the contract with excellent companies. Within 20 minutes the driver arrived and had my car on the flatbed. My mechanic went out of business and the driver gave me a few minutes to locate another location in West Hollywood. The driver was very friendly and the cab was clean. After dropping the Jeep off at the shop he gave me a lift to my apt a few blocks away. EXCELLENT service. In the confusion I didn't get the driver's name and I feel bad about that.
