Al's has a great selection of outdoor sportswear and equipment. They have high-end and regular brand products with great prices. Their sales are much cheaper than what you can find on the internet. Also, their online and store delivery options are intuitive with helpful staff. I love Al's Sporting Goods. read more

Best selection in outdoor gear in Cache Valley. I love how they always have discounts on all the top brands. Super friendly and helpful staff. The website is one of the cleanest websites for a local business I've seen! So easy to navigate find what I'm looking for. Shoutout to the web designers at Al's! read more

5-Stars all the way, AL's has always been a great company to deal with. been going there for over 20 years for many different items. Bikes, Guns, Ammo, Climbing gear, etc. really good selection on sporting goods. Have I ever had a bad experience? Sure but what company is prefect all the time, they have always taken care of me, if I come in and I get that BAD employee, I simply find someone else or I come back another time. People have bad days we are all human, some people should chill on there negative remarks (like they never did anything wrong) Also keep in mind on these reviews most people only like to complain. If they have a wonderful experience they rarely post it. Keep in mind there are a whole lot more positive reviews that have never been posted. Thanks Al's for being a great company!!! read more

Customer service is fantastic! My pickup in store order was available earlier than expected and it was so easy to find where to pick it up. Quick and simple. read more

Placed an order with Al's. The post office muffed the delivery and sent the package to never-never land. Contacted Al's and they filed a claim with the post office, who magically found the package. read more

I have nothing but positive things to say about this store , I live in California and purchased a mountain ( Scott genius 960) , I was helped by TANNER OMAN who was extremely helpful with the process , I truly appreciate the great customer service . read more

I was told over a week after I ordered that the item was not in stock, despite it being available to purchase on their website to this day. They refunded me the price of the item but not the taxes associated with it. I have emailed multiple times over the past few weeks to no response. Very shady company. read more

great service, brigham deserves a raise!! all the enployees were very helpful and knowledge

Al's has a great selection and I have always received good service. I shop there for mountain bike gear, snowboard gear, camping gear, they got the goods. Several knowledgeable employees and a lot more part timers so you get a mixed experience, understandable. Great store to have close to home. read more

Two online orders both shipped out the next day. Arrived fast with zero issues. I would highly recommend them.

Had a good buying experience at Al's today. CONCLUSION: this store is consistently between a 1-star and a 5-star store depending on the day and whomever helps you. More importantly, I still shop here because I always have and old habits die hard. However, I'm not opposed to spreading the love around to Sportsman's Warehouse and a host of online gun and tackle sites. read more

My 11 year old son has been eyeing this bike for several month. He is on the autism spectrum and really studies things out. He finally made the decision today to go and look at it one more time during the Labor Day sale. Prior to today the service there sucks, but we dealt with it because he was in love with this bike!! We had been working in the yard and looked kinda rough when we went in... which shouldn't matter.. but.. we walked right to the bike, passing several employees. Yet again, not a single one asked to help us. Went to the bike and he was touching it and an employee came and asked him to not touch the bikes because they will scratch!! I was appalled! Walked right out of there with our cash in hand, upset little boy and went to Joy Ride. Similar situation a few weeks ago-my son went in and wanted to buy an arrow for his bow. Didn't have his bow and the salesman WOULD NOT sell him a arrow!! He is of age and 2 adults were with him! Once again, left there with money in hand and went to Sportsman's warehouse. IN OTHER WORDS-save your time and don't waste it going here!!! read more

Ordering from Al's online I placed an order for Asolo 535 hiking boots online. A week later when I had no tracking infor I called ane was told that even though the website stated they had them in stock they did not fond them in the warehouse. I was told they would look on that day and get back to me. I was asked if I would take a different pair of boots instead I stated that I would accept Asolo 520 hiking boots instead. I never heard back from Al's, no email, no text, no phone call. When I checked my PayPal account. I found the charge had been removed. That's great but I would have like to have heard it from them. Purchase online with caution. Disgruntled hiker read more

Went here on 8-31 to purchase a pair of boots for my husband. There was a 25% off sign for all shoes. My husband began looking at the stock and a very nice young man came out to assist us. We talked about the pros and cons of each brand. As we neared a selection the sale rep informed us the there was a labor day sale beginning the next day and boots would be 50% off. We do not live in logan but decided to drive in the next day for the savings. The sale started at 9 am. We arrived at 9:30 am. There were no boots on sale and the new price for the boots we had chosen were higher as the 25% off price had been changed to 20% off with the sale. Bait and hook. We did not buy them! read more

This store is a great place to go and checkout the things you are going to order online. They have lots of great stuff. Go check it out. Then carefully put it down and order it online. Carefully not to break anything as apparently it is lined in gold. This is know around cash valley as the place that has the highest prices. The place that has a sell every week just to bring its prices down lower and closer to actual sale price. Last item I went and looked at was $300 more than at sportsman's wearhouse and they weren't even having a sale over at the superior sportsman's wearhouse. Look but don't EVER buy They don't want everyone's business, nor do they deserve it. read more

I've never had a bad experience here. Usually have what I need in stock and at a good price.

Sadly, zero is not an option. I won't ever set foot in there again. I have used the shop twice. First for a pair of skis I bought there, they screwed up the binding mounting and comped it, fair enough. Second I took my bike in to get fixed, got it home, the through axle promptly broke because they had installed it incorrectly. They refused to replace it because it was "already used." The manager wouldn't even leave the back to talk to me. Take your money elsewhere if it is meaningful to you. read more

I ordered North Face Cats Meow sleeping bag. It was a good price for. My son's Philmont trip and Al's delivered when they said. Perfect!

I love this store! It is my go-to headquarters for all things sports AND outdoors. They carry the best brands, at competitive prices. There really isn't a reason to shop elsewhere. read more

Went in for some shoes, and got help from a guy named Esta who was both helpful and knowledgeable which turned into great recommendations as well as quick help finding and retrieving shoes for me. I hardly ever leave reviews but wanted to leave one for Al's because, over the last nine months, they have gone the extra mile for me so many times - especially Tate and Dustin in the archery department. Quick Story: Last year my 12 year old daughter told me that she wanted to learn to go bow hunting this fall. Unfortunately, I don't know anything about bow hunting (always done rifle). When I took her to Al's to look at bows, not only did Tate set us up and fit us with a new bow and equipment, but he spent hours teaching us how to shoot it. Tate worked with my daughter on form, technique, and even explained the various parts of the bow/quiver/arrows/cams. He taught us how to take care of the bow and taught us how to keep the bow at peak performance. Because of Tate's kindness, I've now gone back to Al's to buy all our replacement arrows and accessories, including Sitka camo and shooting targets. In sum, Tate has made bow practice/hunting an extremely positive experience for my daughter and he will be the first one we send a picture to if she gets a buck this fall! Now let's just hope all this practice turns into my daughter's first deer come August 17! Thanks Al's! Hey read more

I purchased some duck boots from Al's online and was nervous because of the mixed reviews I read from other customers. I was pleasantly surprised by my entire shopping experience. I received the item I ordered quickly, as described on their website and for an excellent price. read more

Visiting family for Thanksgiving and we all decided to go visit the gun range inside since we haven't shot together in a long time. Checking in was almost too nonchalant; we were not instructed about any of the range rules, never once did they ask us what we were shooting, calibers ect... Just sign the waivers and oh hey we're gonna talk to the locals and ignore you guys for another few minutes. Awkward... So we're signed in, paid for and setup on the range finally, supposedly their backstop is rated for .50 caliber...but two of us got kicked out after only shooting 30-50 rounds of .308 because the backstop was sparking from the Mil-Surp ammo, which was sparking with my 5.56 and 9mm as well. It was very busy and I have to imagine they were simply trying to free up some lanes since they had a full lobby of people waiting to shoot. Speaking of which one of our lanes was literally stolen as my buddy was putting away his AR and pulling out his pistols. The range officers didn't even care, what the hell? I'm not expecting Hilton treatment from a run-of-the-mill gun range but this was just a very lacking experience all said and done. read more

Purchased the Flash Sale KXONE SUP - and used it today. Everything was in the box, and set up was pretty easy. Would have appreciated directions but YouTube videos of SUP inflation were helpful. The board is incredibly light (important since Bear Lake is down and it is a long walk to the water) and felt stable in the water. Not as responsive as a hard board but more convenient when carrying. Pleased with the value to performance ratio! read more

Yesterday I went and bought my daughter a bike. I was amazed at the amount of wonderful customer service I was given. The guy that helped us was informative and made sure that my daughter fit the bike correctly and that the bike was working correctly. On my receipt his name is Dspencer. I am so grateful for the service and the time he spent with us. I hope that he is recognized for his wonderful service. read more

FINAL UPDATE: Today I received my replacement order and as promised, they were the correct size in Men's and they arrived in just in time. Although I am still quite disappointed with the color scheme, in this situation Al's Sporting Goods did a good job of turning a poor experience into a satisfactory one. I'm pleased and thankful to the Customer Service reps that helped rectify the transaction and in an age where online purchasing is becoming more and more frequent, it's good to know that there are stores out there that still incorporate the most necessary aspect of the human element, which is trust and responsibility. While I can understand and appreciate the fact that many are still apprehensive about buying things online, I would not hesitate to suggest Al's were someone to ask me what I thought about them. Thanks again to the reps at the store for fixing their mistake. It is well appreciated. This is a temporary review based on an internet purchase. Scenario: Ordered a pair of Men's shoes as a gift for a friend. Negatives: Took longer than expected for them to ship it out. They shipped me a pair of Women's shoes. I spoke to customer service on the phone and although they did offer to try and fix the situation. I am currently waiting for a pre-paid shipping label to send back the wrong item they shipped me and with any luck they may be able to get me the replacement pair by Friday. I will update this review as soon as an outcome has been determined. UPDATE: The company was able to ship me out a replacement order after I had dropped off the return order at UPS. Positives: The company is taking responsibility and being as helpful as possible. The new estimated shipping date is Friday- so a very quick turn-around. Negatives: I had to leave work early in order to drop off the return package at UPS. The original item I ordered is no longer in stock and the replacement order, while the same item, is in a very undesirable color scheme. I will update this again upon receipt of new order and depending on how everything works out, this could very well be a horrible experience transformed into a good one. read more

Horrible Customer Service - No accountability internally Ordered water filters to use on a vacation trip (Read: Needed filters to filter water on hikes, as ours went bad). Product was sent USPS. Website did not state shipping method; no place to put a note on the order. USPS cannot be delivered to the address that was provided (shipping system should know this, REI doesn't have an issue determining this), and USPS returned the package to Als.com. No big deal. Order was returned to Als.com 3 days later. Als.com stated that they could not cross-ship, no big deal. Als.com gets the order back, give them a day to reship. No action on the order. 8 days, 8 phone calls, 3 unfulfilled promises for call-backs, a Shipping Manager that can't be found anywhere. Eventually spoke with the GM, receiving a promise of shipment by EOD. 4:59PM (their time) get an email that states that package was shipped Next Day Air and could not go out that day, because they missed the shipping time for the day. First call (of 3 calls) for that day occurred at 9:45AM that day, gave them plenty of time to remedy and ship. Check the tracking number, package will arrive 4 days after the shipment date. Should be here today (Friday) if this actually was shipped Next Day Air. Package will arrive Monday, after we have left to return home. Will have to have someone here ship it to us at home, and no longer have a use for the filters this vacation. If I conducted myself this way with my job, I'd get chewed out. Als is great, they usually have good fair prices and friendly staff. They have a kind gentlemen named Ryan J who helped me pick out a coat. I later found out he wasn't even a sales floor employee! what great service. He was so kind and patient as i asked a Million questions about coats, insulation types, and zippers. He actually took his coat down from his office to show me how a welded seam is different from a non welded seam. Ryan J you are a true asset If management sees this buy Ryan J a lunch or something. read more

We ordered a Patagonia jacket from Al's on line on Black Friday. They processed the order and then notified us that there would be a delay in shipping. OK, fine. When the product finally arrived, however, it was the wrong product--even though the shipping slip inside the package had the right product on it. Al's said they will process the return and give us a refund, but now I have to start all over with shopping for this item. I wouldn't buy from Al's again if that's all they can do. NOT HAPPY. read more

BUYER BEWARE: I ordered over $1100 worth of Outdoor Research apparel and my order was canceled the next day. My Navy Federal card was debit in full, Als took over $1100 of my money! I ordered over 25 apperal items, only to be told they were all mispriced and refused to honor the prices. I even asked Nate (director of operations) if they could honor the advertised price on one of the 25 items I ordered, he refused to. There is zero accountability on ALs behalf and extremely disappointed with their customer service. I would never do bussines with this company again and highly encourage you look elsewhere. Note: Still not fully refunded at this point. read more

I am a big fan of shopping locally-owned small businesses. I live close to Al's and they have a good assortment of a lot of gear we use. The staff has strong knowledge, especially in the categories Al's focusses on. I like the overall vibe of the place, helpful without being pushy. The biggest knock against Al's is that they are generally the highest price in town on the gear. They do have some good sales though. Check the sales and remember to shop local! read more

Today was the first time I've used Al's in-store pickup for something that I needed quickly (replacement parts for my bike rack). I placed the order online at als.com and the order was available when promised. When I went to pick up the item, I'm sure I made it out of the store 3x or 4x faster than I would have if I would have had to go in and look for the part myself, wait in line at the cash register, etc. The whole process was really easy. read more

They had such a great deal on air mattresses I had to buy a couple, they delivered it right into my trunk! Great experience!

I ordered a yeti cooler and it came with scratches and a small dimple on its side. It also had smudge marks and hand prints on it from the previous purchaser that probably had returned it for the same reason. They don't pay for return shipping which is pretty ridiculous when its obvious they shipped it out that way. The box it came in wasn't damaged so it didn't happen in transit. I will never purchase or recommended to purchase anything from AL's Sporting Goods. read more

Absolutely horrible service here. Ought some gloves, and decided $40 was far too much for these gloves, tried to return them immediately, (less than 5 minutes later), and they would not take them back. Even tho it was 5 whole minutes. With the receipt. This was my first, and last time buying from these crooks. Do NOT buy from this joke of a store unless you want to get screwed. read more

Very Bad Customer Service - I ordered a $15 black and grey balaclava. Instead, they sent me one that is pink and purple. I called to tell them about it, and they weren't apologetic one bit about it. They told me to mail the pink and purple balaclava back to them, and when they received it, they would refund me my money. They said I could then order the correct balaclava again. Most good companies would have apologized and immediately sent me the correct item. read more

Nice store. Well merchandised. Staff was hit/miss. One associate started to help with shoes but kept disappearing. Would see her wandering around...maybe she was testing out some of her own shoes. Waited, waited and waited then Kaylee asked if we needed any help. Finally found the right pair. Finish what you start or turn it over to someone who can close... Good luck in this tough retail environment. read more
