We engaged a roofer to assess several rust-through spots occurring on five long panels. Upon…read moreinspection, the roofer immediately attributed the cause of the rust to the solar installer, effectively deflecting responsibility. However, the evidence does not support this conclusion. Our roof consists of two levels, and we observed rust on several spots across five long panels--many of which are not adjacent to the solar installation. Furthermore, the upper level of the roof, which has no solar panels whatsoever, also exhibits couple similar rust spots. These observations strongly suggest that the rust is not caused by the solar installation but rather stems from a material or manufacturing defect. Despite these panels carrying a 50-year life warranty, the roofer was quick to claim that the rust is not covered under the manufacturer's warranty. This is deeply disappointing, particularly given the clear evidence that the damage extends well beyond any area impacted by the solar work. The roofer demonstrated no willingness to help address the issue and offered no solution for the roof leak currently occurring at the lower level. The lack of accountability and absence of any proposed remediation is unacceptable given the scope of the defects observed.

She showed us our options for the front door and the security screen. Scott came out to look things over and get measurements for our doors. After that point we received an estimate to peruse and approve. We had a few questions that Sandi was able to answer quickly. The doors were ordered and we were given a tentative timeframe for installation. A few weeks later Sandi called to schedule our installation. Dave installed the front door perfectly. The back slider was also installed that same day by Scott and his crew. The slider went in beautifully and looks very nice. The moulding looks great. In between, the painters came and touched up all the areas around the door and slider before Dave installed the security door in the front. We are very pleased with the results and the service we received from Scott and his crew. They were all helpful and did great work. We had put this off for years and are so glad it is done and done well. Definitely a pleasure working with Rayco Windows and Doors!

Vincent Roofing was referred from Kenny with Crawford Sheet and Metal so I knew this company was going to be a solid choice. Don was very professional from start to finish. I was impressed with his years of experience, the roofing materials he used, and the work crew. Desirrae was also great with coordinating schedules, communicating, and was very responsive if I had a question. The guys were prompt every morning and cleaned up very well. The whole process went smoothly. Highly recommend Vincent Roofing has a great work ethic and it shows in all areas of presentation: Don stopping by to give a quote, presentation the contract, and the ease of paying online. I felt this company is up to date with the latest technology and has chosen carefully the amazing work crew that was on my roof the duration of the job. They were all easy to reach through Yelp's portal, and we picked one that stood out. The job was done fairly, but we waited five months for their availability. The price was fair but wasn't a great value. Communication also dropped here and there, as it's a big company with separate front and back offices. The experience was "meh." This year, we had to do our own re-roof. With that past experience, I decided to get some quotes from companies on the second page of Yelp. That's where we found JR Roofing. They gave us a great quote, a quick work schedule, and the flexibility we needed to deal with our HOA. Their communication was clear and thorough. Jose, our point of contact, was willing to answer my many questions. There were times he got busy, but he always gave us a detailed and satisfying response in the end. He took pictures of every stage of the project and a video after the roof was completed, since we were out of town during the work. The job was done just as well as the one our family member had. We got the same material and warranty, yet with a much better price and a much shorter wait. Thank you, Jose. Thank you, JR Roofing.

We also needed an outbuilding's flattop roof and skylights replaced. We chose Wonderlin Roofing Systems for the following reasons * Extensive expertise * Long history in the Castro Valley area * Excellent references * Willing to work with clients Grover Wonderlin and his office Manager Marianne worked with us throughout the entire process and were always polite, knowledgeable, answering our questions, provided excellent advice. Before starting the tear-off, they covered the pool with the largest tarp I have ever seen. I was impressed with their clean-up, walking around the home twice checking for nails and anything that might have been missed. The crew inspected the exposed roof structure, repairing water damage, and recommended adding a chimney cricket to reduce the potential for water damage in the future. The crew was on site the day the roofing materials were delivered, to setup and ensure the roof was protected in case of rain. I was impressed with the quality of their work and how quickly they completed the job in just a few days. Each day the crew cleaned up, and on the final day thoroughly checked the entire property for nails or anything that might have been missed. Grover's knowledge and advice for the vendor reinstalling the electrical solar panels was invaluable and greatly appreciated.
