I've made a few purchases at Rayco. Scott and the team are incredible. Top notch service and great pricing. Scott is always able to beat the pricing of competitors and is always super helpful. read more

We hired Rayco to replace our front door, security screen and our sliding door in our family room. The ordering process was very easy with Sandi. She showed us our options for the front door and the security screen. Scott came out to look things over and get measurements for our doors. After that point we received an estimate to peruse and approve. We had a few questions that Sandi was able to answer quickly. The doors were ordered and we were given a tentative timeframe for installation. A few weeks later Sandi called to schedule our installation. Dave installed the front door perfectly. The back slider was also installed that same day by Scott and his crew. The slider went in beautifully and looks very nice. The moulding looks great. In between, the painters came and touched up all the areas around the door and slider before Dave installed the security door in the front. We are very pleased with the results and the service we received from Scott and his crew. They were all helpful and did great work. We had put this off for years and are so glad it is done and done well. Definitely a pleasure working with Rayco Windows and Doors! read more

I had Rayco replace an exterior door in our garage and think they did a great job at a good price. I worked with Sandy in the office to get the door and hardware I wanted. The install was done in a day by Dave and he did a great job. I got the door I want with all the hardware and it looks and works great. I'm very pleased with the work and would use them again. read more

On customer service sales only. Try to keep my money local and with small businesses. Reading the website, so far, so good. Walked in and had a very off putting experience. Asked for prices, and given a $500 range...for one door! Explained that I was looking for a better grasp to make financial choices. No movement....asked for this door specifically ...same answer. At this point I asked to speak to the owner...oh wait, he was the owner!? Bottom line....he wants to deal with contractors and not the person off the street (so to speak). His site should indicate that. Really left a bad taste in my mouth. I waited a day to write this.. believe me, yesterday would have had a different bent. Today I am just saying don't go if you are a homeowner, he does not want your business. read more

As an Interior Designer I'm always looking to team up with vendors who are passionate about their products and go above and beyond for their clients. I was looking for a local window and door company for one of my projects, we needed windows, skylights, interiors doors, hardware, and trims, as well as a front door. I have worked with Sandi previously and reached out to her to see if they can help with my project. At the same time, I was looking to replace my windows, so I needed someone who could answer questions and offer guidance in making selections. Sandi set up a meeting with Scott, the owner of Rayco door and window, and from the very first conversation I had with Scott, he was extremely friendly and likable, really passionate, and knowledgeable about his product. All the orders for my client went smoothly, without my client ever needing to set foot in the showroom. Scott went to the house and measured for windows and doors, and all the communication was done via emails. They were very responsive and on top of things. Sandi gave us ETA's regularly and that helped us stay on schedule. I appreciate their attention to detail and passion for customer service. I will certainly recommend them to my future clients, I know they will be taken care of! Scott and the team also helped us with our window selection. My husband and I had a certain look in mind, but like everyone else we also had a certain budget in mind. I had a ton of questions!!! and Scott answered them all patiently! I am so grateful! He came by the house to measure and confirm sizes, he helped us select a good product for our home, and we feel that we made the best, most educated decision. Thank you Scott, Sandi, and Yesenia! Scott and his team go above and beyond and I am happy to recommend them. I look forward to more projects together! read more

Rayco Door and Window - Sliding door, kitchen window, skylight and interior solid core 2 panel door w/hardware provided by Rayco - Windows Installation Near Me - Castro Valley, California

Had a problem with my window channel balance. No luck with a big chain so I called Rayco Door & Window. The owner, Scott, told me to swing by. Not only did he have the parts, he even showed me the installation process. Scott's customer service is as genuine as it gets. For any window or door project, I would highly recommend Rayco Door & Window. Thanks again Scott for providing the best customer experience! read more

Owner seems to own up to his mistake, which deserves a large bump in my book. I may try them again next time I am in need of a door if I have time off during the week to handle everything. I ended up getting my needs taken care of last time at another company that charged about twice the amount rayco had quoted me on the phone, so for the price I am willing to give them another chance. The reason you have better reviews hidden is because the system discounts reviews depending on the reviewer. If it's someone that hasn't written reviews before or has an account potentially linked to paid reviews they don't show up. read more

I must admit, when I first searched through Yelp and found Rayco Door & Window, I was a bit hesitant on calling them based on the very few reviews...and well...as well as the rating. However, I then realized that they also have 28 filtered reviews which sucks because I'm pretty sure more than 50% of them were legit reviews but filtered based on Yelp's unexplained algorithm. Anyhow, to get to the point, I decided to give them a try and was pleasantly surprised with their customer service. Scott, the owner, great guy. You can tell he's very hands on and really care about his work and his customers. Pretty nice guy, my guess is he's maybe a Virgo or Pisces? Anyhow, try him out if you ever need doors, windows, and/or mouldings. read more

So I was looking for a new bathroom window. I called around to a few different window dealers. As I expected many of the dealers were not too enthusiastic helping one customer buying just one window. I get it....to some extent. I was pleasantly surprised when I contacted Rayco. First I spoke with a receptionist, who seemed interested and legitimately concerned. I emailed her photos and gave specs as requested. I was soon telephoned by Scott, the owner, who was more than helpful. He had my best interest in mind and didn't up-sell me on anything. In fact, he offered multiple options to remedy my window needs; to include meeting me within minutes to explain the most cost-effective way to solve my problem. I ended up buying what Scott recommended based on his extensive expertise and outstanding customer service. In a nutshell, I will definitely use Scott and his company Rayco in the future and will recommend the company to friends! read more

Took a while to coordinate the in home evaluation but it was well worth it. Scott (owner) and team are perfectionists. I couldn't be happier with the project completion time, pricing and quality of work. The install team of Jose and Tony treated my home like their own and they take pride in their work. They were able to replace a total of 8 original 1959 doors, a pantry door, custom casing for the master bath, re-trim all doors/closets and paint within their estimated time frame. Go with solid core doors, it does make a difference! read more

Rayco quickly and skillfully replaced a broken patio door window for me after my house was broken into. Scott and his team were able to do an emergency repair the very next day. Since they had already removed all the broken glass, they offered me a discounted quote on the replacement glass repair. read more

I am bummed to report that I cannot stand behind my original 5 star rating. They have refused to do business with me on 3 occasions now, saying they are too busy to entertain my RFQ (2 small jobs and one very large job; all single-home, residential, and requiring installation). I suspect they are too busy for me because I not a contractor or installer (which I do understand), but I am sad that I have lost my trusty local door and window guy. I don't like giving my door and window business to Home Depot! read more

We were in the process of looking for French doors. Scott at Rayco spent an extraordinary amount of time in his shop explaining all the ins and outs for our project. Then he came to our house, took measurements and made suggestions. He even talked us out of putting in a door where we have a window so that we wouldn't decrease air flow since we don't have air conditioning. Scott wasn't the only door provider we spoke to but he gave us what we wanted without pressure. He was just wonderful. I highly recommend Rayco Door to anyone shopping for doors or windows. They are just so accommodating that you will find yourself very happy. read more

I'm trying to give them my business with replacing an interior door and possibly all my doors if this goes well however they are not off to a good start. Just trying to get a quote and I've submitted a form online two to three weeks ago, called and spoke with someone who said I'd get a call back and that was a week ago and now just left another phone message. I get being busy but just telling me that and an estimated time to replace my door would go a long way rather than going ghost on me. Hope they read this and get back to me soon. read more

Called Monday and talked with a not-so-friendly receptionist. The receptionist told us to measure the windows and sliding doors ourselves and give her the measurements. Then she would send a tech guy to our house to remeasure the windows and doors! We were bit puzzled to why measuring had to be performed twice. When we told her that our windows are big and really high for us to reach she immediately became irritated. She then took down our address and set up an appointment for Friday at 10:30am. She said she will pass our appointment to the owner before hanging up. No one showed up for the appointment at 10:30am. We got a call from Rayco at 3:40pm saying that they can come for the appointment without apologizing for the missed appointment. When we asked the technician about the missed appointment, he just kept giving us excuses. We instead called a competitor who was professional, friendly and actually showed up on time. read more

Called this company several times, no return phone call. Then e-mailed and got a response. Finally picked out a front door, and waited and waited, emailing about every two months, they said it's on order and there was a few problems, ok waited. One year later, no response. I would never do business with Rayco.. Went to Madallion Industries Inc. in Livermore. Front door order and will be in 2-3 weeks, stained and with glass for more than half the cost. read more

NOTE TO HOMEOWNERS..... If you need any kind of work done to your home, do not work with RAYCO DOOR AND WINDOW. They will waste your time and not do quality work. RAYCO have come out 3 times to fix the windows they installed because it's not done right, and now they don't want to make it right by giving me a break on the price. Plus when they tell you they are going to call a certain day, they call a week later. read more

We live in Alamo and we had Rayco come out to give us price on several itiems we found their prices to be very fair. We contracted for the work to be done and everything was done to our standards. They replaced door hardware, conpletely replaced a back door with a beutiful french door and changed some window pains that had some scratches left from a stuco contractor. It was very nice to have a company that was a one stop shop. They did such a good job that we have now had them out to a few rentals to do some repairs. read more

Very poor customer service. Not sure if this is Rayco's company culture, bad processes at this company or my bad luck with their unresponsive staff name Debbie. Drove to their showroom hoping to see and feel the Therma-Tru doors I am interested in since this company is one of the designated dealer. Their staff name Debbie was pleasant initially but seemed to be in a hurry. She was not interested in providing any information. She seemed to want to rush me out of the show room. She suggested to email her pictures of my house, current front entry, and door style I am interested in and then she can help me from there. Emailed all requested information to Debbie on the same day of visit. Received a reply from her a couple of days later stating she would not have time to provide an estimate or any information for at least 4 to 5 days. 7 days went by, not a word from Debbie. Followed up with Debbie by email and phone calls. She never bothered to respond nor provide any quote. I guess Rayco has so much business that they do not care if potential serious customers are falling through the crack or not. read more

Wow, just called this company to make an appointment for a bid...the girls answering the phone were unfriendly and unhelpful. When I told them we were interested in a commercial dutch door she replied "Oh, we don't do that" when I asked why she said "Commercial sounds like metal, we don't do metal". I told her we wanted a wood door to which she huffed "I can pass your information along to my boss, and he can decide." To that I say, NO THANK YOU! read more

I ordered an entry door from Rayco. I quoted from more than 10 stores and their price is the best, almost 60% of the highest quote and still a couple of hundreds lower than the 2nd and 3rd best quote. I was a bit hesitant due to other review comments but I decided to give them a try. In my dealing with them in person, over the phone and via email, the service was great. They are very patient and working with me on all the details, even I am just ordering 1 door from them. The delivery was a bit delayed but I think that's because of the holiday season. read more

We are very pleased with Rayco Window and Door, having ordered both whole window and insert replacements. Scott and Clarissa are real professionals at their business, know their product lines and have given us good advice and very fair pricing. One of the problems of YELP is the lack of objectivity and the un-moderated nature of comments. We as readers don't know all of the facts of any one situation and don't know both sides of the story. In addition, anyone in customer service (like flight attendants and food servers), will tell you that there are some people in life who are just mean, nasty and negative and NO amount of service will ever satisfy them. Unfortunately, YELP has now given them an unfiltered voice. Give Rayco and opportunity to earn your business, make your own decision. read more

I replaced my 1978 condo windows. Upgraded to Milgard brand on my sliding glass door, kitchen and bedrooms. I live by a freeway and have very noisy neighbors, these have helped tremendously. Scott and his staff are very knowledgeable, customer service, and professional. Competitive prices and he worked with my HOA to ensure everything was proper. I need 2 more windows and I will call them again!!! read more

We've had two different projects done by Rayco in the past year, and I have nothing but good things to say. The gentlemen who did the installation were insanely meticulous, and had to come up with some creative ideas to complete the installation 'cause our house is over 100 years old and things are a bit warped with age. The owner and staff I've met have been upbeat and quick to respond with estimates, follow-ups, etc. I've dealt with contractors for my home and business and these folks are among the best with whom I've worked. read more

I have used Rayco three times so far in the last year and am very happy with their work. The first job was to re-install a window that was incorrectly installed by someone else. They did such a great job that I had them replace all the the other windows in my house. My house is 60 years old and had some original wood windows and some broken aluminum windows. Now I have all new beautiful, great quality vinyl windows. My house was recently painted on the inside and Rayco did a great job of touching up after the window installs. They provide quality, detailed work and I would use them again. read more

We had major repair to the upstairs of our house due to a fallen oak tree. There were many subcontractors involved and so we had many comparisons of work and service. Rayco Door and Window was outstanding. They were detailed and clear about the requirements for our doors and windows to comply with city specifications. The doors, windows, and installation are excellent. They were upfront about the lead time for manufacture of the windows and kept us informed. I would highly recommend Rayco Door and Window for excellent product, service, and customer approach. read more

Scott and his team were FANTASTIC! From the first email - they were professional, honest and very friendly. Being a Castro Valley resident I try to support Local Businesses as much as I possible and I am glad I did with Rayco. I cannot say enough positive things about Rayco - so if you are looking for a new door and want to support a wonderful local business - give Scott and Rayco a call. read more

Still waiting for completion of a job that has been going on for almost 6 months. One problem after another with this shady outfit. First Scott tried to force an invoice on me that did not match contracted work and demanded final payment for this step of work.I refused. Then interior doors came they were not painted just primed. Then some were taken out to be painted when returned many weeks later were not what was called out in contract.Later interior door with glass finally came the bottom panel of that door did not match the rest .Door was removed and no further work will be done until I agree to owners demand to except this door as is. This was a custom ordered that the owner of Rayco ordered himself and he got it wrong. He has now demanded payment in full without completing his contract. Please do not put your self through a night mare like this RUN FROM THIS SHADY OUTFIT!!!!! read more

I chose Rayco based on their Yelp reviews and was not disappointed. I was also glad to support a local merchant. I could not be happier with my new front door. We had a great experience once we got past the initial contact, it probably took an additional two weeks longer to get the order finally placed than I would have liked, but once the door came in, things came together quickly. The worst customer service I have ever received. Kept putting off the installation because he didn't know whonwasngoing to paint the door. They kept calling the wrong person about the paint. Planned after 3 weeks of put offs and excuses that the door would be installed Thursday or Friday of last week. I started calling Friday morning and called all day, no answer. Called Saturday no answer. Found out today he went on a cruise. How nice for him. He just lost my future business and also my children are ready for new windows so they lost that too. I can't believe he thought so little of his customers. Don't ever use him and he is way over priced. read more

Several years ago we were looking for a new front door to replace the ugly black metal door that came with our house. Rayco door owner Scott showed us lots of options and we finally settled on a blue door with leaded glass at the top. The shade of blue compliments the gray stone we have on the front of the house. We have received many compliments on the door and are very happy with it. We also replaced the door from the kitchen to the garage as the previous door was not fire resistant. We first contacted Rayco in January about the problem of the window they installed. It's now May and it's not fixed yet .We've been calling them several times and Scott came more than a month ago and said somebody or him will come back to finish it.I called them and always was told they will call me at certain days if and when someone can come, so we stayed home and wait for the call that never came.I spoke with Marcela last week and we agreed that someone will come last Friday.I informed her that my wife had appt.after 10am and be back before noon so they can come before 10am or after noon.she said she'll call me on Thursday to let me know.Of course she never called and I left a message that day about the appt. That Friday she called after 10am to say someone is coming. Very frustrating is a nice word to describe our experience with this company read more
