Doctor Arnold has taken great care of our three kids! And we've had great experiences with Doctor Cox too!

Bittersweetly, we are moving to the DC area in a week, and will have to change facilities. We love the nurses and support staff at the Cherry Hill location, but don't love the doctors. We've had appointments with 2/3 of the doctors, and they both seem very passive; knowledgeable, but passive. It almost feels like they are only listening part of the time, which could easily be the case. The office stays busy, so they probably have a lot on their minds, and when they see a happy, healthy baby, it's not so much a concern. BONUS! They will trade you for diapers that your baby has outgrown if you bring them in. Don't take advantage, but they've switched out a full diaper bag's worth for us before.

We looked into UV Pediatrics after their on-call pediatrician met with us in the hospital the day after delivery and their pamphlet seemed to portray a well organized and reputable practice. However, that was the last positive experience with them. Our child was cautious for Jaundice so we had four different bilirubin tests done after we were discharged. EVERY single time, someone from the practice failed to call us after they received the results. Every time, we patiently waited but were forced to follow up on our own. Every time we called, they acted like they had no idea why we were calling but after looking into it, realized her test results were just sitting there waiting to be reviewed. I'm sure the doctors are knowledgeable and good pediatricians, however their nurses and administration have left me with absolutely zero confidence in their ability to facilitate the care of my child.

It left me searching for a new pediatrician. We were worried about possible seizures and wanted to talk to them about some sensory behaviors that my sons preschool had pointed out to me. We were experiencing it in kindergarten as well and didn't know where to turn for help. So I spent several hours reading reviews and choose based off what I had read to come to Utah Valley Pediatrics. We scheduled with a doctor who will remain un-named because this is not about him. He gave us a list of psychologists to test and work with my son on the sensory end. We have taken him to a psychologist and have been getting him help. With school starting the wearing of a mask is proving to be something thats too much for him. So I had the psychologist write a letter and took it to the school. I was told that my letter from the psychologist would not be sufficient to make my son exempt from wearing a mask. I was told that I had to get a signed form from a medical doctor. So I called Utah Valley Pediatrics office told them of my dilemma and told them I could bring in the letter from the psychologist and after 3 phone calls and checking and double checking I was told they have a COMPANY WIDE POLICY NOT to sign ANY mask exempt forms of any kind. Are you kidding me. They are the ones who gave me the list of psychologist to go to for help. If they can not do whats best for their patients on a patient by patient basis and make decisions based off the medical knowledge they have there is no way I'd ever trust them with any of my children. I MISS my old pediatrician!!

I've talked to their billing office multiple times offering to pay in full the original bill, etc. loved our doctor but will never ever be back after 8 years with them due to this situation. I would give ZERO stars if I could.

Over the years, I have never disputed a bill I received for care one of my children received, but two years ago I did dispute an administrative fee that I felt was unjustified. Despite this being a relatively small amount compared to the thousands of dollars they have billed out on my kids, they proceeded with legal action against my family that has threatened to be absolutely ruinous. I cannot adequately express the toll it has taken on us, or the shock I still feel for being treated like this for an unpaid fee. I really liked the doctor we see in Spanish Fork, but after going through this I can never set foot through those doors again. UPDATE: A Utah Valley Pediatrics administrator left a comment on my review indicating that they are "We are happy to work with those who tell us early in the process if they are in need of additional financial help." Either he is lying or he just doesn't know what happens in his offices, because I did try and work with them early and I got absolutely no where. Since then things have gotten much, much worse.

However, there are billing problems EVERY SINGLE TIME I use Revere at any location. I have primary and secondary insurance. I got notification that I owed a balance, which I should not, since the secondary insurance pays whatever is left after the primary pays. I called billing and they said they were unable to reach my supplemental insurance company. I called the insurance company and got through to an actual human right away. I called the hospital billing department back and told them what number to call, and to wait to talk to a human. I will wait a few days to see if they get it straightened out. I am concerned, because I am scheduled to have the other knee replaced next month, and do not want this hanging over me when I go for that procedure. What the heck, Revere? I was told they had checked on my insurance and I hadn't met my deductible so I was responsible for the full amount. I contacted the hospital and they said the original quote was only an estimate and the procedure cost was actually more than double what I was quoted. After disputing it with a manager (Matt) I still ended up paying a substantial amount more. Very unfair practice in my opinion. I would not have had the scan done had the cost been accurately quoted to me originally.

I switched my 10 year old daughter to his care. We had been dealing with tummy issues and her old pediatrician's office always told us that it was all in her head. With her old pediatrician we only saw the actual pediatrician once. The remaining well-check visits were always done by their technicians, which I didn't like. When I switched my daughter to Dr. wise' care, he immediately knew what was wrong and what she needed done to get rid of her tummy issues. My daughter was sent to a children's hospital for a quick procedure and after that she did much better with her tummy. We never get assigned a technician, it's always him caring for his patients which is really nice. No dealing with random strangers every visit. I took one star because of their billing department. They should be able to remind you if there is a balance in your account when you bring your kids in. After our son's NICU stay, we were under the impression that his office was paid in full by our insurance. I visited I don't know how many times after my son was discharged from the NICU. As he went home on oxygen. Was never told, there was a balance. They sent us to a nasty collection agency who were rude and uncooperative when it came to the payment amount they wanted. We just barely finished paying that off but it was hectic to deal with those jerks. Any other doctor's office has reminded me that there is a balance in the account. That's nice and appreciated when you have so much on your plate already, caring for your newborn and being sleep deprived. I was upset about the whole billing department ordeal, but not enough to let it affect my decision to stick with a good pediatrician for my kids.

As they have gotten busier and bigger, they have become worse! One of my "adult" children (18 yrs old) needed to see the Dr urgently and we had not established him into our adult family medicine MD yet, so he had to go to Alpine Peds. He was doing what any adult child should do: schedule and handle his own appointments. They sent ME the pre visit questionnaire and forms to fill out. They have no understanding of HIPAA. Due to privacy laws, I should not have even been told he was seeing the Dr, let alone be the one filling out his forms. When I questioned them about this they replied, "That's our policy." After hearing that same phrase multiple times on different occasions, I pulled all of my children from their medical practice. Imagine if you were an 18 year old girl wanting birth control, or being scared and pregnant, and this is the only practice you know, and turn to them for help and privacy, and have them send the forms to your parents to fill out. If you want an out of touch, non-personal medical experience, this is the office for you!

I left feeling frustrated because I wasn't listened to and offended by how much he cut me off. I went to an insta care right after to find another doctor. The doctor at insta care actually listened carefully, in stark contrast to Dr. L. The whole consult was shorter than Alpine Pediatrics but the doctor at Insta Care listened, gave me advice for over the counter meds, gave me a referral because he was concerned, and actually asked me if I had any other questions or concerns. That's all I needed from Alpine Pediatrics.
