I had a total knee replacement January 13, 2025. The hospital staff, doctors, surgical team were all outstanding! However, there are billing problems EVERY SINGLE TIME I use Revere at any location. I have primary and secondary insurance. I got notification that I owed a balance, which I should not, since the secondary insurance pays whatever is left after the primary pays. I called billing and they said they were unable to reach my supplemental insurance company. I called the insurance company and got through to an actual human right away. I called the hospital billing department back and told them what number to call, and to wait to talk to a human. I will wait a few days to see if they get it straightened out. I am concerned, because I am scheduled to have the other knee replaced next month, and do not want this hanging over me when I go for that procedure. What the heck, Revere? I scheduled a scan and received a email showing my cost estimate with an offered discount if paid ahead. I called the hospital to get a clear explanation of the charges. I was told they had checked on my insurance and I hadn't met my deductible so I was responsible for the full amount. I agreed to the terms to receive the discount and paid the amount ahead of the scan. There were no complications or issues. A month later I received a bill for more than I had already paid. I contacted the hospital and they said the original quote was only an estimate and the procedure cost was actually more than double what I was quoted. After disputing it with a manager (Matt) I still ended up paying a substantial amount more. Very unfair practice in my opinion. I would not have had the scan done had the cost been accurately quoted to me originally. read more

My wife gave birth here and even though childbirth is stressful and physically and mentally exhausting, the nurses and doctors made it a pleasant and comfortable experience. At no point did we feel like we weren't safe and in good hands. They were considerate and personable and they respected ALL of the wishes my wife and I had with regards to the birth plan and care of our baby. They even had yummy food and unlimited frazzles. Don't go to Timpanogos Hospital. After surgery they will overdose you on Fentanyl, leave you unsupervised, not hooked up to any running monitors, your room won't be prepped with proper equipment, and do no proper handoff between staff. You will have to hope you have a good spouse like mine, to help you when you stop breathing. Then to kick you while your down, they will procrastinate with checkout, keep you 4 hours past, then charge you an extra $20,000. When you write a letter to the hospital with your concerns and make several calls to staff, the best they will do is offer you 20% off your bill. I would have given zero stars if that had been an option! read more

Was there for mental illness and nurses wouldn't let me use bathroom by my self. Some of the nurses were rude and unprofessional.

THEY LOST MY LYMES DISEASE TEST RESULTS!!! Went in on Tuesday of last week (it's not Friday of the FOLLOWING WEEK) and I have been calling everyday for them because they told me it would only take 2 days. Finally heard back today saying the lab (LabCORE) never received the test OR it was incorrectly labeled OR they misplaced it. Its a LYMES DISEASE TEST?? THATS IMPORTANT. This is RIDICULOUS. It took them 10 days to realize they didn't even have the vial I had been calling about. I will not be paying the bill when I receive it. However, the staff was very kind and I appreciate that but the people in the lab need to be taken care of. read more

If I could select zero stars, I would. I went to the emergency room on Sunday, March 20. My symptoms were light-headedness, so dizzy I couldn't stand on my own, my legs wouldn't work so I couldn't walk on my own, my speech was extremely slurred and there were words that I couldn't say. I had two stents placed in my LAD 3 weeks before this. The ED doctors focused entirely on that. They ignored all of my symptoms completely. They did every test on my heart that they could think of. All the tests came back OK - no heart issues. They sent me home at the height of the TIA I was having. They came in, gave me my papers, told me that as soon as I got dressed, I could go home, and told me the way out. And left me alone in the ER room. I couldn't stand up on my own. I couldn't get dressed on my own. I couldn't walk on my own, but they left me to do all of that on my own. The nurse literally told me that they just make sure that I'm not going to die and then send me home. There was nothing about my heart that was going to cause me to die so they sent me home. Told me to follow up with my cardiologist the next day. My cardiologist literally told me to never go back to that ER again. The cardiologist also told me that 3 weeks after the stent placement it would be very unlikely that the stents were causing an issue and that the ER should have done a head CT since I was having symptoms of a stroke. I could not in good conscience recommend anything about this ER, not the doctors, not the nurses, not anyone or anything about it. STAY AWAY!! read more

I have visited this hospital twice for labor and delivery. I have never been disappointed. The food is great. The hospital rooms are wonderful. And the nursing staff is absolutely amazing. I have had a great birth experience both time. I love that they give you a little celebration meal after baby is born too. read more

On July 5 of 2022 I was sterilized against my will by Timpanogos Regional Hospital in Orem Utah. I arrived at the hospital at 5 AM for a C-section and had only received two hours of sleep before I arrived that morning. They immediately hooked me up to an IV and gave me medication for pain management which knocked me unconscious. My husband had to speak on my behalf and discuss our birth plan because I could barely stay awake. At 8:45 as I was being walked into the hallway to the operating room, not only was I drugged but I was under extreme duress and was violently shaking when the nurses asked me to sign some more papers at the last minute, which I figured were just more release forms. It wasn't until I left the hospital and started experiencing dizzy spells, hot flashes, and intense pelvic pain that I called my doctor and found out that they had given me a tubal ligation. I had just had my first child with my husband and we were trying to start a family, but it was immediately taken away from us by malicious, corrupt nurses. I have sent multiple emails, made numerous phone calls, and even gone to the hospital to file a complaint in person and I have been repeatedly stonewalled by April Briggs who is supposedly the person at the very top who handles patient complaints. My doctor told me when he arrived at the hospital that morning I was so out of it he was not able to speak to me before performing the C-section and was surprised when the nurses shoved papers in his face saying "she signed this, she signed this, she wants this". My doctor feels horrible about what happened and has been trying to help me petition my insurance to have this reversed. At no point did I ever want to sterilize myself and we were planning on trying to get pregnant again in two years after the birth of our first child. Not only do I now live with post tubal ligation symptoms and have to rely on codeine for pain management, but I'll have to pay $8000 out-of-pocket to have this hideous malpractice reversed. And even if by some miracle I am able to have this reversed, I am now at a 15% higher risk of an ectopic pregnancy thanks to Timpanogos Hospital. I wish I could say this is the only bad experience I have had with this hospital but it is not. It is simply the worst one worth mentioning. If you care about your well-being, or the lives of your loved ones please, I implore you, do not bring them to this place. read more

This review is for the ER. Took my Dad here on Tuesday since he was struggling to breath due to Covid. They triaged him, took him back, did X-rays and blood tests and put him in a room. The RN explained that he indeed has Covid which the X-rays confirmed and also diagnosed him with atrial fibrillation. Not once did a doctor come and talk to me to explain his condition and prognosis. I get it, they are probably short staffed and I know an RN is qualified. But at the very least, the doctor should have explained things to us, what to do, show us empathy. Something! He was discharged 2 days later and they prescribed him oxygen and dexamethasone. Handed me discharge paperwork and sent us on our way. Currently staying in a hotel since we live in California. We monitored him the past 48 hours, My dad was not improving, getting worse, struggling to breath and turning blue. Ended up calling ambulance and they took him to another hospital. He ended up having a heart attack and is in ICU. Moral of the story...PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE COVID! Or just don't expect much from them just discharge papers you have to read. But who can read during a stressful time like this! read more

i had a baby at this hospital in August and it was a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. they failed to mention that the nursery they have on site doesn't actually get used as a nursery to take your baby so you can sleep or shower, it's only for babies who need to be hospitalized. i'm a new mom and after 34 hours of labor at 3 in the morning after moving rooms i asked about them taking my daughter so i could sleep and the nurse looked at me and said "oh we don't do that here, welcome to motherhood" and it traumatized me. the nurses there also kinked my IV so my hand blew up to the size of a baseball, after the epidural they left me turned on my side for 10 hours so the epidural only worked on one side of my body, it took 4 nurses to get a heart rate on my daughter. it was one of the worst experiences i've ever heard of someone having at a hospital. and Post partum nurse only a couple hours after having my epidural tried to pull me out of bed to get me to talk even after i told her repeatedly that i still couldn't feel my legs and i ended up falling over. read more

1/22/2021 This emergency room visit was covered by both of my insurances and both insurances were billed and paid the maximum that they allow under the contract that they have with the hospital. This was not good enough for the people who bill for Dr. Jeffrey W. Madsen. They billed us again. Again, they were told that they were paid the maximum they had contracted for and that the patient is not responsible for the amount over the allowable amount. So, now we have received a court summons from this group. This is very annoying and very unprofessional and illegal. I'm so frustrated with my experience here. I came in for an apparent concussion, that the doctors dismissed as a tension headache and sent me on my way. Well, a tension headache doesn't last for three months. I was throwing up and still had to go to classes, because they wouldn't write me a doctors note. When I called and asked to speak with the doctor who saw me, in hopes that I could get a doctors note approval or even advice on how to feel better, the receptionists were snippy and didn't care at all. who ever the rude ass billing lady is that was working on 4/15/25 at 1230 pm hung up on me when I was trying to find out about getting an itemized statement. she was extremely rude and when I asked for someone else to help me she hung up on me.... I have proof I had a cooworker sitting right there and the phone was on speaker as I was eating lunch!!! NO WAY I'm paying this company any money if this is how they treat people who are simply asking about a statement!!!! Medi credit keeps calling me but they cannot provide any statement to me either !!! so why should I pay just because some person on the phone says too?!?!? The very worst hospital I have been to. I am supposed to be admitted to a facility which I honestly feel I can do outpatient. They won't let me even talk to someone that can help me. I have been waiting over five days to be admitted. It actually causing me to feel more anxious I feel nobody cares to listen. I was seen in the ER for a ruptured cyst in my right ovary, was told to come here by another ER as they did not have an Ultrasound tech on site and Timp in Orem was a sister hospital. Was admitted and the nurses were very nice. However the physician assistant named Brett was very rude and seemed to be annoyed we were there, said idk why they sent u here, we couldn't see anything different from the CT scan you were given". Like what?? Me myself reading the Ultra sound results, it had a lot of info and he made it seem like we wasted our time coming there and he seemed more annoyed that my husband was asking questions. These people we pay for services really need to have more concern and understanding for the patients. Not making us feel like we aren't important or that we are taking up room in the ER. Pretty disappointed with that PA. The nurse we had so so nice and cheerful tho. Happy to have nurses like her being so happy and energetic. read more

Went for standard blood work. Very organized. Handed a vibration device to indicate when it was my turn. Given only a couple people there the wait was longer than expected at about 10-15m min at 12:45pm. Once I registered it was quick to get in. The lobotomist was professional and quick. Didn't have to search for vein with needle and was as pleasant as can be for drawing blood. read more

I recently went in for some blood work and was impressed with the quality of the people I interacted with at this hospital. I spend a lot of time down at Primary Children's Hospital and Shriners with my daughter and have always thought of their level of service as the gold standard for hospital care. So, I was surprised to notice just how friendly the people at Timpanogos are. Everywhere I went, staff members smiled at me. Absolutely awful. This place has some of the worst staff I've ever dealt with. A nurse dropped the IV on the ground and still punctured my arm with it. Terrible. I had a 3 hour bloody nose and Dr. Smith in the ER said that it was just "dry Utah weather". It had been raining too. Doesn't make sense. A day later I had another bloody nose and finally went to a different hospital where they took my blood and found out I have leukemia cancer. Thanks Dr. Smith. Me and my wife have yet to have any serious issue here. The staff is generally well-trained and professional, as well as very friendly. The people working he front desk are knowledgeable and helpful, and the hospital itself is clean, which is obviously a huge bonus. We did have a bad experience with a phlebotomist that managed to bruise my wife's arm for a week, and a registrar who inadvertently offended my wife when she called our preferred baby name super common and generally not special. Both not huge issues, but really just minor annoyances. Nothing to cause me to avoid this hospital, because our experience has been overwhelmingly positive. read more

I had my second baby here, I love this place! When I had to do my three-hour gestational diabetes test, the technician was so nice and had me take a tour of the labor and delivery suites. They are nice and spacious. Single rooms. If you want to have a baby naturally, they have a nice big jetted tub for you to labor in. All of the nurses, doctors, and staff were very kind and helpful. My epidural was the best one I've gotten. I'm on my way back there tomorrow for a test. The scheduling lady was incredibly helpful, kind, and understanding. Then I got a call a few hours later for pre-registration. When I arrive tomorrow all I have to do is show up! Plus, she gave me an estimate for how much my test was going to cost. Since I paid it the before, I got an extra 10% off. I really appreciate knowing the cost before I get my test done. I really really appreciate being rewarded for paying upfront. read more

I gave birth here to our daughter. I thought since it was a smaller hospital that would be a good thing. However in my experience we had many negative things happen. Our doctor was 15 minutes late to the birth and I had to wait for him with the baby in the birth canal which was very painful. Our daughter was pricked in the foot three times for billy Ruben and all her tests were high- there was no follow up when we went home that she needed lights. No aftercare follow up. Our daughter had a hard time latching and I never had a lactation consultant actually see her eat, she still won't latch. Figuring out how to get a hold of her pediatrician after the hospital was hard. When we figured out who the pediatrician was, the hospital hadn't sent over our daughters information and things like the billy Ruben fell through. Overall there are nice people at this hospital, these are just some things I experienced and wouldn't want to happen again. read more

My visits lately have been bad. There is a lot of laziness happening when I go there. I walked into the Imaging center, the front desk woman was nice and helpful. Then I got transferred to radiology for ultrasounds. The lady at that desk in radiology, had an attitude, and When she received my hospital order, she rolled her eyes back so much she probably saw her brain. Then, the nurse that came to do my first ultrasound. He was nice. Asked good questions. But when we were done with the first ultrasound, I told him there is one more ultrasound that he was supposed to do. He didn't want to do it, and just sent me to the imaging center again. So I got registered at the imaging center, and the nurse that came to do the ultrasound, was very upset. We walk in the ultrasound room, and she just asked A question with so much attitude, and just said "why are you even here. I told her, "because the hospital sent me mail a few months ago, and said that I was supposed to get this ultrasound done, and hopefully this will be the last one." And she did not want to do it and try to talk me out of it. It was very unprofessional, it was rude, and she made me feel like I was crazy for being there in the first place. And then while she was doing ultrasound, she only scanned one area, it only took 30 seconds, and she just left to review the scans. The doctor told her to get a few more scans, and when she told me that she just kept asking over and over again, "why are you here. " And I just said "because you guys asked me to, and I don't want to be here because I don't want to waste my money." We ended the ultrasound, and I was done. I was definitely fed up with this place. I'm not coming back. They've been treating me like this the last two visits and I don't need it. I just need people who want to do their job and help. read more

My college age daughter went to this location to get a COVID test. They told her to expect results in 2-3 days business days. She also received an email stating she would hear in 1-3 business days. Then she was told 3-5 days. Then 3-5 business days. 6 days later-she STILL hasn't gotten results even though a roommate who got tested at the SAME place-Timp Hospital- THREE DAYS LATER got hers. Every time my daughter calls she gets the run around and a new excuse. If it's the labs fault-the administrators of the hospital need to hold them accountable. It's unbelievable that they wouldn't process them in order and with more urgency. We need to stop blaming the college kids for everything when some of them are apparently more responsible than the businesses. When the lab/hospital can't do their jobs efficiently they have to shoulder some of the blame. read more

My grand baby was born the two days ago,he is been deprived from food because he vomit once. The nurses keep saying he will start eating tomorrow and today they said that he will start eating tomorrow. He is only getting enough hydration through IV but no formula nor breast milk at all. Yes, I'm writing a review for the hospital. No, I'm not doing so to complain about billing, haha. This is America. You can rail on the billing and overall cost structure in this for profit healthcare system all you want, it's sort of a lost cause. I just saved thousands a year by switching to single payer! Hey, a guy can dream ok?? At TRH I have had some issues with care for my son's birth. Chiefly, the lack of educational materials in Spanish for the baby's grandparents. This is a huge, major issue that mostly earns the subpar rating. Safe sleep knowledge is most vital, and it's unacceptable not to have the competence check available in Spanish. I'm not one to nitpick, so there are really only a few more mishaps that I'll cite toward this rating -Lack of anti fatigue mat for all the standing on hard floors that was needed to get through the last half of labor. -Lack of proper nutritive support for dad as mentioned by other reviewers. I always hope to be proven wrong but the fact is night shift or odd hours / holiday staff really disappoint me pretty much everywhere. And finally, -Lack of transparency about options and risks for potentially low amniotic fluid. Our first doctor told us that often a low reading isn't completely accurate, then we received an internal monitor which it turned out also allowed them to provide more fluid in the form of saline solution for the baby. If so, why are we bothering increasing risk or stress on the baby and mom with pitocin? There's only one logical reason. They'd rather hurry than respect the mother's birth plan. I feel like the option to just wait and let labor continue to commence at a natural pace (after water break and the monitoring was set up) was simply ignored and we were sold the idea of "who really wants to sit around laboring for a long time anyway?" while being pushed into intervention after intervention. This lead to a number of mishaps in my opinion. First they amped up the intensity with gradual pitocin increase. Then the exhaustion that resulted in was met with dextrose. Finally near the end as stress and agitation rose causing a spike in blood sugar from the dextrose, insulin was added. Like I said, I am not gonna nitpick on the individual treatment received or responsiveness from various nurses, or technology hiccups. It's pointless to do so, just like griping about billing. I was treated with a great deal of consideration by just about every nurse that helped us, but the best service was from our day shift helpers in the beginning of the process. They really did show great professional love and that's why this review is a 3 rather than a 1. The care was solid but the process was highly faulty. Updates to 4 stars. Awesome experience with Brent the phlebotomist post discharge. Rarely do you come across such great professionals who love their job and their patients so much. On that note I also wanted to add that I submitted the thank you card for the two nurses that helped for labor and then the night shift - Caiitlin and Cori. They were extremely vigilant in caring for us even as we became delirious and incoherent at times. read more

I went here for my first labor of my baby girl. While in Labor I asked them to take a biopsy since I had my epidural and I needed to know what was wrong with my skin. After weeks of never hearing results I finally called them just to have them tell me they lost my biopsy. No one bothered to call me and they didn't offer any compensation what so ever just said to get a new one at my six week appointment. So now after I'm just healing from literally pushing a human being out of me I have to get numbed again, have them take the biopsy and more stitches. This is the last thing I need to be worrying about after I just had my first baby that is stressful enough. Not to mention I needed the results because breast feeding has been abnormally painful due to my skin problem and having those answers could have saved me a lot of tears and money spent on lactation specialists just to be told it's a skin condition and I need a steroid to make it manageable. SecondI will never be returning here again! Update, they have confirmed that they are doing absolutely in compensation for me for losing my biopsy. Even though I owe them $5,000 after my insurance! This absolutely insane and I cannot believe they are getting away with such negligence. If lawyers weren't so expensive I would be suing! I'm beyond disappointed. I'm severely disappointed in your lack of a resolution. I've exhausted all the time I have, which I'm sure was your goal in the plethora of pointless emails back and forth. I hope this never happens to another girl again and you've learned from your mistakes. I will not give up in telling people my experience and how awful you all were I'm going to make sure all the people I know don't come to you so they don't have to go through anything even close to what I had. I'm beyond disappointed, exhausted and frustrated by how everything was handled. I'm glad my baby is alive and has no birth defects, for that is the only reason I'm not pursuing legal action at this time. From the moment I walked into this facility to have a very frightening procedure, I was treated wonderfully! From the front desk staff to the nurses treating me, I felt so at ease and so did my family. Dr. Christopher Jolles (specialist for OB/GYN) is amazing! Despite being young and having a total hysterectomy at the age of 34, the staff at this facility made this experience a pleasant one! I thank you all from the bottom of my heart and so does my family. So thankful for the pediatric ER at this hospital! We was visiting from out of town until my baby daughter started having problems. It was 11pm on a Sunday night, my daughter needed help, and as first time parents whose regular pediatrician was hundreds of miles away, we had no idea where to go. We decided to come here and we are glad we did. The doctors were amazing with my little girl and I loved that the ER was clearly geared towards kids. So far so good. Everyone seems nice and competent. I particularly like the older volunteers that man the front info desk. I have noticed quite a bit of variance when it comes to waiting. Each Monday I have been coming with my wife to get an ultrasound and a None Stress Test for her pregnancy. Sometimes we are in and out in less than an hour. Once we were here over two hours, most of it just waiting. I'm not sure what they are doing. It makes it very difficult for me to plan my day with about an hour and a half difference. read more

I can't say enough good about this wonderful hospital and staff. Dr. Chun Hwang and the great staff working with him in cardiac ablation can't be beat. The after procedure nurses were amazing. I highly recommend this fine doctor and hospital. There is none better in this whole country!!!!! read more
