Timpanogos staff cant spot a suicidal patient even if that person flat out told them to their faces. I went in to the ER because I have chronic insomnia, it has been extremely bad these past few weeks and i've tried all the medications up to ambien, which is supposedly "the strongest one" out of all the sleeping pills. I have felt so suicidal, I just dont want to be here, just wanting to die and plotting all the ways I could, so today I went in to the ER and told them everything, how I was feeling, how it's affected my quality of life, how I had to withdraw from college, and LITERALLY. THEY SAID, "if you're already taking ambien, there's nothing more we can do." LIKE HELL YES THERE IS MORE YOU CAN DO. Give me a sedative! give me anesthesia! put me into a coma! Give me a Narcotic or Depressant so I can calm down and relax and not have all these racing thoughts every night! I didn't even see the doctor, it was an NP. The only POSITIVE thing I will say is that they got me into a room quickly, and they were nice/pleasant in their conversation. But i felt SUCH a lack of empathy from them, and I left the ER feeling WORSE. right after I left, I exited to the parking lot, got in my car, and bawled my eyes out. I felt so awful. Just so neglected like they wouldn't even try to find another solution to cure me. I'll be expecting that $2,000 bill for that 10 minute discussion about how im a lost cause. Im sure they are good at fixing broken bones and delivering babies, but if your looking for mental health treatment check elsewhere. read more
