We have been going to Family First Pediatrics for 4 years now and we have had a wonderful experience in these 4 years. They always have a lot of different times available so I am always able to get the time that is the most convenient for our family. We've been taking my sons to this place for 13 years. We started with a wonderful doctor who listened, gave great advice, and was intelligent and kind in her approach. She left the clinic and we were scheduled with Dr C. He is nice but very basic and comes across like he is tired of hearing parent after parent with the same issues. He doesn't take me seriously as my child's parent and advocate or hear the real issues with my child. He also is clueless when there is a red flag and misdiagnosed my autistic son. He disrespects parent involvement in decision making of their own child. The billing department has also screwed up several times, the scheduling has gone down hill and we have had to reschedule several times last minute due to an issue on their part. read more

Avoid this office. They tell you the price it will be when you make an appointment. Then six months later you get a second bill for three times the amount you already paid at time of visit. When you call about that bill, they claim that was just an estimate. Don't tell your patients that it will only be "this much". Then screw them over six months later. I talked with Anna from the office. I let her know the situation and what I was told when making the appointment. She stated....."well I don't know how the conversation with our front desk goes". I said....i just told you how it went. She then stated, well you are responsible for the payment due. The front desk gives false prices and never says that they are estimates. I made sure to verify that it was the final price before I made the appointment. The lady I made the appointment said that's how much it will cost. I would not have even made the appointment if it was an estimate. This office is very misleading. I have never had this issue at any other dentist we have been to. We came to this office out of convenience of being next to the doctors office. Definitely a mistake and I do not recommend. Especially after being treated the way I was on the phone. Another thing, they send a text saying you have a balance. When you click on it, it just gives the balance. No details why. No itemized bill. Nothing. Then you have to call and go through their automated system and hope someone answers as you wait "in line" on that call. I talked to billing. They said call the office. I called the office and they had to transfer me. Then finally was able to get some sort of explanation and was treated like a liar. Do not take your child here. read more

My boys have been seeing Dr. Crowell for years. He is absolutely amazing. Any provider we have ever seen during sick visits are awesome as well. The MAs and nurses are all so sweet and caring. I recommend FFP to all my friends. read more

Where I'm used to getting the runaround from the Military's medical personnel and never getting a straight answer from anybody, my experience with Kirstin Willardson at Families First was a breath of fresh air. These guys rock. First of all we love how they have two separate waiting rooms, one for sick and one for healthy kids. The whole office was clean and the room was painted in some epic safari theme that made the wait with a fidgety toddler so much easier. The on call nurse the night before (midnight) was super nice and very helpful. The doctor (Cox) was so good at engaging with our boy, typically with most doctors he freaks out, but she kept him calm. The best part was the added bonus of a prize he got at the end of the appointment which was a bouncy ball, it is now his favorite toy! The only reason I didn't give them a 5 was because things were slow today. We love Brady Watkins, so when he switched practices we had to follow. He is so good with the kids and is a great listener. He never makes me feel dumb when I share concerns and he always explains things well. The staff was super nice and everything was very clean. I loved how each room has a theme, mural, and a searching activity to keep the kids busy. read more

Dr. Dan Clayton is amazing! He has been my daughter's pediatrician since birth and I'll use him for all future babies. He is caring, very attentive and extremely helpful! He helped me get thru the early newborn stages and breastfeeding worries and now that I have a toddler, he is so wonderful with her! She hates going to the doctor but he is very understanding and caring even during her tantrums lol. The office is great. Huge fish tank and they always give the kids a cute little toy for coming in! I wanted to get with Family First Pediatrics once I had my baby - I took a pregnancy preparedness class with them. I loved the feeling in the office and loved everyone I met and spoke with. However, it seems practically impossible to get a hold of them unless you go in. Pushed from recording to recording for a simple question, being put on hold, hung up on once I FINALLY get to a live person, and longer hold when I try to call back. This isn't the kind of experience I would want if I were to become a patient. So sad that a great place seems to have grown too much too fast. read more

It's a nice clean office, but the front desk ladies are cold. They aren't very nice and friendly. When I went in I didn't even get acknowledged. I just stood in front of the lady at the desk. She didn't even look up for about a good 30 seconds.. I wanted to see how long it takes them to say hi. They didn't even say hi to my son. The doctor.. wasn't to warm and fuzzy.. he was nice but not anything to brag about. The nurses were nice. I didn't like how there was only one nurse to give 3 shots. I asked for 2 so my son can get the shots more at the same time like his other pediatrician. But she said she's really fast... but still. So I wouldn't recommend this place unless it's a last minute decision for someone. I'm trying to find a better one. It's an ok pediatric office - but not my first choice. read more

Love the Riverton office. Every dr my kids have seen has been awesome. They really care, and remember what's going on with my kids. Dr Petersen and Dr Vlam are who we usually see. This Dr's office is so nice. It's in a newly built complex so everything is very new. The front office is split into two rooms, one for sick kids, and one for healthy kids just getting a check up. Everything is new, clean, and kid friendly. TVs and a fish tank in the waiting room. We went back for our appointment and each room is themed. My son got the Harry Potter room and my daughter is super excited to see what other rooms they have next. My son saw Dr Petersen and he very very nice and gentle with my 5 day old son. All of the nurses were great too. Our visit was pretty quick with not much waiting at all. This office is a little out of our way to get to but it's worth it. My wife and I highly recommend this office. read more

I would not recommend going here at all. For medical reasons we were told not to give our baby any live vaccines until she was 6 months old and had built up a better immune system of her own.The medicine I took while pregnant with her could have suppressed her immune system and as a precaution she was not supposed to receive any live vaccines. The reason being if her immune system wasn't strong enough the vaccine could have given her the virus it is supposed to help protect against. On the day she was given her vaccines we again reminded them of this and the nurse said no live vaccines were given but she'd go make sure. She came back in to tell us that no none of the vaccines were live and us TRUSTING in them had them go ahead with the vaccines. It wasn't until we did our own at home research did we then find out they did give her a live vaccine after telling them she could not have it. They had no idea the vaccine they gave her was live until we called them and informed them. We shouldn't have had to be the ones to inform the doctors office and staff about this. After they made this mistake they were in no hurry to check on her or help us when we needed them and were concerned for her well being. As a parent you want the best for your child and she was not given the care or attention she needed when going here. read more

I don't believe there are better pediatricians in Utah than those who they have working here. They are the most knowledgeable, friendly, and professional doctors I have ever worked with. Our son loves going to the doctor. Shoot, even I love going to the doctor with him because they are the best at what they do and it is always a positive experience. They also take time to answer and questions, give real world advice to help with your baby, and explain medical concepts in a way that anyone can understand. I highly recommend Dr. Zarbock. He is the pediatrician our son and daughter see and I don't think there is anything he doesn't know or can't answer. You can tell that he goes above and beyond to be a a subject matter expect while still being personable, friendly, and helpful. read more
