My family has gone to this office from elementary years through high school and we have been happy with the care here at every age. We love their informative Instagram account (see pics attached)! We especially love Dr. Memmott but we highly recommend everyone at this well-run practice. The nurses, and office staff are always happy and helpful. I have been taking my kids here for 4 years the first 2 were fine but something has changed and the rest has been awful. I have tried multiple times to talk to someone about this and no one cares. The overdosed my 1 year old with over 2x the amount of the covid vaccine. They didn't inform us for 2 WEEKS!! He was pretty sick and they said on the bright side you don't have to come in for the booster... Another vaccine incident when he was a newborn. The boy didn't know what he was doing and my husband and I could tell. He was trying to go too fast. He jabbed the needle in and it bumped off into his leg with the vaccine spraying on me. The needle was left in his leg and he then had to pull it out. I have no idea how much he did or didn't get and it was very traumatic for all of us. There have been other incidents but these two could actually kill my child. Did I still have to pay for the visits, yep. Did I try to talk to them before writing this, so many times. Don't go here for your children's safety.

I knew she didn't need emerangcy care, she was just a sick baby, and I was trying to see if they could just give her something to help. I called alpine pediatric and they set an appt that day, and guess what! She was getting through rsv all on her own and her little body was doing its job. The fact that they just wanted me go to the er, makes me think they have some deal with the children hospital and get a cut from each child they send there. They don't care about your child, they just want your money.

Dr. McCarthur is our primary pediatrician and is very knowledgeable and helpful! He's easy to talk to and whenever we have concerns he is able to explain things to us. Both my children needed helmets for their heads and he was able address his concerns about their heads being shaped differently and the issues that can arise from them not getting corrected; and was able to refer us to a specialist. My son also had ear issues and he was able to refer us to a great ENT to help get tubes in his ears. They are great with teenagers too; not just little kids. I would highly recommend this location!

She will wait a solid hour (minimum) in the lobby before they finally call her back, then she'll wait another 30 mins in the room, hearing the doctor and nurses bs and socialize ... before the doctor walks in to give her 1-5 minutes of generic "things look great, see you next time". I think it's beyond rude and disrespectful to treat patients that way, to treat them as if their time means nothing.

His personable nature and bedside manner makes every visit feel like we were talking to a trusted friend or family member, not just a doctor. My boys are now aged out of practice and now it's just one child that is seen at his practice. As they got…read morebusier we could never see the same doctor (Dr. Arnold is amazing!), which made it really hard to build a relationship between the Dr and our kids and help them to feel like the doctor actually "knew" our children. As they have gotten busier and bigger, they have become worse! One of my "adult" children (18 yrs old) needed to see the Dr urgently and we had not established him into our adult family medicine MD yet, so he had to go to Alpine Peds. He was doing what any adult child should do: schedule and handle his own appointments. They sent ME the pre visit questionnaire and forms to fill out. They have no understanding of HIPAA. Due to privacy laws, I should not have even been told he was seeing the Dr, let alone be the one filling out his forms. When I questioned them about this they replied, "That's our policy." After hearing that same phrase multiple times on different occasions, I pulled all of my children from their medical practice. Imagine if you were an 18 year old girl wanting birth control, or being scared and pregnant, and this is the only practice you know, and turn to them for help and privacy, and have them send the forms to your parents to fill out. If you want an out of touch, non-personal medical experience, this is the office for you!

I left feeling frustrated because I wasn't listened to and offended by how much he cut me off. I went to an insta care right after to find another doctor. The doctor at insta care actually listened carefully, in stark contrast to Dr. L. The whole consult was shorter than Alpine Pediatrics but the doctor at Insta Care listened, gave me advice for over the counter meds, gave me a referral because he was concerned, and actually asked me if I had any other questions or concerns. That's all I needed from Alpine Pediatrics.
