Big Bend Biker Hotel motorcycle garage.

Is there was a paradise set for motorcyclists, this Hotel/Bar would come to mind!!! I felt at home as soon as I got there... It was my first time, and the people tending the bar immediately took me under their wing; after a direct ride from Houston, finding a home away from home was something a long rider in a lone star state always aspires to. The bedroom was as cosy and romantic as a lone biker would want. Pity, I had nobody to share it with! it did not look like your typical rabbit hutch as most of hotel do nowadays. I could tell the decoration was well thought and chosen with the guest in mind. I had especially picked that particular room, with a view. But as you know, what is most important is how the people around you treat you. This is were this place really shines. You feel among friends and family. At no time did I felt they treated me like a guest, but rather as a fellow friend. To me, this ranks so high. Kudos to the very nice lady, she will recognize herself I am sure. Of course, this Hotel is also a bar that serves food. There is plenty of atmosphere there too. I was there on a Saturday, and it seems this place is very popular with the locals. As expected my waitress was as equally friendly as the rest of the staff. This was really a big change from the usual "commercial" friendly. As soon as you get inside the motorcycle only indoors parking, you understand you are entering a very special place. And of course, there is Alpine! Alpine is not only a gateway to Big Bend Park, it is such a charming town too... That Saturday they had an event going, and the entire town was up and about, with plenty of vintage vehicles and local food. People dressed up as Texans, plenty of good humor transpiring from just about everywhere you looked. The following day, I woke up early to have the dawn all to myself. It was just enchanting and so mind inspiring. Hence, paradise... I simply can't wait until I can go back there again!!!! I put some photos that don't do justice to the place in anyway. Just go there already!!!!

We were looking for a weekend get-a-way and wanted something different.... as soon as we pulled up and saw the sign, we knew this was it! Who knew we would find such a hidden gem in the middle of West Texas! This a great boutique style hotel with a West Texas eclectic vibe. It felt like we were in an old western town hotel (but with better sheets and furnishings) It was incredibly clean and cozy (which is a biggie for me) and the staff was amazing, genuinely welcoming and ready to attend to our needs! The hotel does sit right above the restaurant so it was super convenient to head down, grab some grub and a drink and listen to some live music. Oh yeah...the food was amazing by the way...order the Monica's lemon pound cake...it will change your life! Something to note is there is live music (which we expected) so plan take it all in for the evening. We'll definitely be back and stay here again when we are passing through! Thank you Big Bend Biker Hotel crew for a memorable stay!!!! See yall on the next trip!

I have stayed here and eaten at their Old Gringo restaurant and have had nothing but amazing service. Lodging food and fun. Grilled cheese on the run was so good I was stopped in my tracks. Mexican food and burgers top notch. Home cooking with a quality flair of none other. I'm hooked. 5 stars all the way

Its white stucco façade rises with understated elegance, a study in regional restraint. Step inside, and the Western motif feels neither theatrical nor contrived--it is immersive. The interiors evoke a time when craftsmanship mattered and hospitality was tangible. That sense of authenticity is perhaps most charmingly embodied in the guest experience itself: upon check-in, visitors are handed an actual metal key. No plastic cards. No digital apps. Just the satisfying weight of tradition in your palm. My stay in a Balcony King room revealed generous proportions rarely found in contemporary boutique properties. The suite unfolded into a separate living area, creating a sense of residential calm rather than transient lodging. The design language is minimalist, layered with subtle Southwestern influences with warm tones, and textures that echo the surrounding landscape. The bed offered restorative comfort, while a thoughtful pair of earplugs placed bedside acknowledged Alpine's enduring rail presence. Trains still pass through town in the night, their horns sounding--a reminder that this hotel was born of the tracks and continues to exist in dialogue with them. Service is polished yet personal, with staff attentive both before arrival and throughout the stay. And location is paramount: The Holland sits squarely in the heart of Alpine, making galleries, cafés, and local storefronts effortlessly accessible on foot.

It was super convenient- we never even had to face any staff. Our keys were waiting for us at the door (Yes, that's pretty trusting but the location is also a bit hidden as we had to walk down a clean alley to get there) SIMPLE ACCOMMODATIONS Huge plus for having local Coffee at the counter as well as a microwave, mini fridge, and wifi. Also a collection of small snacks for the taking. A simple, sheer curtain divided the living room from the bedroom but also added an elegant feel to the minimalist appearance. Everything was clean and perfect for our stay. AND RATHER SPACIOUS It never felt cramped inside. That sheer curtain also works great, space miracles. We also liked how right outside the door was a small, vegetation-filled courtyard. It was a bit too chilly for us to take advantage of but it mentally made us feel very relaxed upon entering.

They provide snacks, WiFi and a great binder with information. The location is convient to pretty much everything in Alpine ( a lot within walking distance). However, I was extremely dissapointed and annoyed when I received my review back from the Guest Lofts. We came to Alpine to celebrate me turning 21. Im not a big drinker and therefore wanted to travel for my bday. I think my group and I were stereotyped and therefore received a negative review. Apparently we kept a family and their kids up all night long... First off we were on the outside which meant there was only one loft next to us. The first night we stayed there we had just drove 7 hours and didn't stay up past 10. The next morning when we woke up the only people in the loft next to us were one of the ladies that runs the guest lofts cleaning. We were told In the review we were too loud and didn't follow the rules. There is no possible way we kept anyone up all night long. We never stayed up past 12 and didn't wake up until 9. I didn't even finish a four pack of beer and one of the people in my group was sick. The only "kids" I saw were two preteens throwing knives at stuff in the courtyard. I take it Guest Lofts are not a fan of young adults. I think they could have handled the situation better and maybe talked to us in person or let us know there was supposedly someone staying next to us.

I am positively dumbfounded at the prices for nightly lodging in Alpine... especially in the last ten years or so. Sam is AWESOME and really goes out of his way to make your stay comfortable. They have tile floors... SOOOO much cleaner than carpet. The bathrooms are simple and functional. Each room has a microwave and a very workable minifridge. Bring you won coffee maker and skip the chi-chi coffee places down town. The wife and I actually pulled off Thanksgiving lunch for our family of four quite well out of the room there. This ain't the Taj Mahal... but is a good, clean, safe, comfortable place to stay. The rooms well appointed and most of all... AFFORDABLE. (This is forty years of experience in Alpine talking...) There are Barbeque pits and fire rings with firewood supplied. There are swing sets for the kiddos... safe parking and a warm family atmosphere. Sam's 'El Bombo Grande!' No way to ask for another room as the place was closed at this point. Bathroom door broken--has a gate latch that doesn't close all the way, floors filthy and covered in sticker burrs, spiders in the bathroom, the soaps and shampoos were obviously refilled-not new-and dirty and stuck to the glass shelve. The TV was falling off the wall, there was a hole in the front door and the back of the door was covered in some sort of dirt (bug dirt?). Multiple spider webs in room. The positives were the fridge and microwave were clean and operational, the bed wasn't really comfy but seemed to be clean, and the AC worked. We were immediately looking for other hotel rooms even though we had prepaid for 2 nights. Unfortunately--April in this area is a big time for visiting Big Bend, so there was nothing to be had. We seriously considered sleeping in the truck... The reviews and photos I saw before booking sure look good, but they are very deceptive. Buyer beware!!
