The lovely couple who own this B&B were so welcoming. They gave us a tour and added some history through the photos - making the stay special. I was most impressed that they had thought of every little comfort and added it tastefully to an historic structure. Our stay was short but super comfortable. Wish we had planned for more time here. The other special shout-out is to their breakfast! We've had really great breakfasts at B&Bs before but never such an amazing to-go option! It was fresh, filling, with so much variety - it was perfect for all morning of hiking!

This is the hands down the best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed in!!! We spent an entire week here for our honeymoon, in the Twin Sisters Room- which has it's own private entrance, garden and covered patio AND private hot tub surrounded by 100+ year old cacti! I cannot say enough about how wonderful the room was... extremely comfortable bed, high quality sheets, towels, robes etc. Every detail has been well thought out and they were clearly working each day to see how else to continuously improve things. Breakfast each morning was to diiieeee for, Sharon is an absolutely amazing chef (and I'm extremely picky!). She rotates between savory and sweet items each morning, and will do everything she can to accommodate requests, dietary restrictions etc. She makes almost everything from scratch -- her homemade breads are incredible. Tom and Sharon are some of the nicest and most down to earth people you will meet. We had Christmas dinner with them and thoroughly enjoyed spending the evening with them and having a few laughs :) Located in the center of downtown Alpine, you have the ability to walk everywhere. We will DEFINITELY be back to stay, as well as recommend it to family and friends, because it is a super central location for anything you want to go do in West Texas!!

We loved our time at the Alpine B & B. Loved the house, our room (and luxury bathroom!), the common area, and delicious breakfasts. We have a special needs adult son and the owners were so welcoming and friendly and made us all feel right at home. We'll definitely be back!

I found this gem of a place when I made a spur of the moment 6-hour drive to Alpine for 2 nights. Owners Tom and Sharon put so many artistic, thoughtful and creature comfort details into this pretty historic home. For ex: Gilschrest & Soames bath and body products, fluffy soft robes that you can just sink into, thick towels, and all sorts of drinks and fruit available all day. And breakfast, holy smokes, wow. Sharon serves up a customized generous gourmet scrumptious breakfast each morning. The king bed and luxury cotton sheets are just marvelous, and they have a lovely wraparound porch with other places to sit out on the lawn under the shade trees. Highly recommend!

The locals could not have been more warm and friendly, even the local reptiles are calm and friendly. (See photo) I had a flat tire during my stay and it was minutes before I had a smiling local offering to help me air my tire back up. Having a fresh organic food truck steps away from the Bottle House was the greatest surprise. It's like having your own personal chef on call. I was so pleased to have delicious healthy food options near. The scenery surrounding the Bottle House is nothing short of breathtaking. On my drive into West Texas from Austin I literally gasped at the sight of such beauty once I hit the West Texas mountainous landscape. I was in awe. The beautiful natural landscape is captivating and can be admired while driving into town and from your front porch. Alpine is a treasure. It is a beautiful quick drive to Marfa from the Bottle House. I had planned on making day trips to Marfa several days of my stay but ended up enjoying relaxing and exploring Alpine so much that I had to extend my trip by a day to give myself a chance to see Marfa. I couldn't get enough of how charming this BnB is. Liz has thought of absolutely everything one could need to be made comfortable and feel completely at home. I can't wait to visit Alpine and The Bottle House again next time I'm in need of a peaceful retreat, full of natural beauty and friendly faces.

Cerca Del Cielo was my top choice on Airbnb in Alpine, TX…read more I'm incredibly happy I chose this place even when the yurt I was viewing became unavailable the next day. I've never stayed in a yurt and thought it would be so cool. Silly me for procrastinating! However, a major development occurred a week after our stay... I requested a refund for a charge to my card. Got an immediate response, but no resolve. So beware of extra charges with no notification or explanation... Moving on. On the property, there are four rentals: two yurts and two tiny houses. Each rental has a unique name. Our tiny house was Casa Pequena. We stayed just one night on 2.15.2025. West Texas charm oozed from the ceiling to the floors. There were tasteful accents of gold and black with the occasional green and red. I won't soon forget the black and white "Prada Marfa" wallpaper. It was all surprisingly relaxing. So. Many. Amenities: Air conditioning Board games Chimenea Coffee/tea maker Extra linens, pillows and blankets Hair Dryer / Heating Iron Fireplace Microwave Outdoor furniture Outdoor grill Oven Refrigerator (stocked upon request) / Freezer Smart TVs Stove Washing machine / Dryer Wireless Internet & more. My favorite parts: + Pets allowed (crates available upon request) + Free parking + Safe, quiet environment + Contactless check-in/out + Dark star-filled night sky My least favorite: - I forgot they have a 10 AM check-out as opposed to 11 AM. like most places. - They have yet to issue me a refund for a pet fee charged TWICE on my credit card. I brought this to their attention and the issue has not been resolved as of 311.2025. It is perhaps "just $25," but it is more so about the principle of the matter. I never received any communication from them about this charge until after I contacted Jamie. Then follow-up was non-existent two different times. You can also at an extra charge add-on a bottle of champagne, firewood, and other items for when you arrive. Base rate = $93.00 Price for extra person = $5.25 Cleaning fee = $40.00 Hotel tax = $6.72 Guest channel fee (this fee supposedly "helps Airbnb maintain and improve the platform") = $2.94 Add-on (Bring your pet) = $25.00 Total price = $172.91 Overall, I enjoyed my visit, but don't like surprise charges to my credit card nor do I appreciate being told "I'm sorry this is a bit complicated... we don't get too many of our bookings through the website" and "I'll look into it" then communication stops. For this matter, I probably will not return. So close to being "The Best Little BnB West of the Pecos."

It was me, my husband, and our 2-year-old and plenty of space. It was great to have a sink, lamps, and electrical outlets. The bathroom was not far away, and I was impressed by the facilities. The grill was close by too. The location was so great to get to the national park as well as the state park. The stargazing was out of this world. We had a couple insanely windy nights, but the dome held up so well. We also did some of the little sites on the property up the mountain which was cool and not expected. Minimal cell service, and my wifi barely worked (although my husband's did), but that wasn't a big issue. I would 100% stay again. Highly recommend.

To start off with, the owners are very very nice and accommodating. They will work with you if your company stays here for a while and you are needing a little torrent help, this is not for everybody just depends on how your company and fellow co-workers act I suppose. The layout is like a u shape pattern with the main office in the middle with BBQ grills, ice machine (bags.) that you grab if needed and snacks, dollar minimum donation. This is an honor aystem which I hope nobody abuses a very good thought by these owners instead of gouging people like other places do. The rooms are accommodated with microwave, coffee pot, TV and refrigerator. I can only a test for the refrigerator in room number 8 but that thing gets really cold if you needed to, one of the best refrigerators I've ever gotten a chance to use in any place, even my own home! The restrooms are stocked with clean towels, soap bars and toilet paper. Showers are stand up showers only. The one thing that stands out what I experienced hair compared to any other place is it was about 2 storm hair with hail and the owner personally knocked on everybody's doors inviting them to park their cars under the ports where you're not supposed to park your vehicle in the first place because there are picnic tables there, but she insisted because they care about people not having their vehicles damaged by the hail . That right there tells you the character of the owners here! I want to thank the owners on part of GRID for the hospitality that have shown me and my co-workers during our stay. Also when you run into the negative review on the other platform that they were just honest about their rates, try not being an idiot and smoking in the rooms when it clearly says non-smoking. All you have to do is meet the owners for a day or two and you will completely understand that they would not treat anybody lesser than the person next to you unless you break a simple rule.
