This place is a gem! A very small restaurant on one of the busiest intersections in Gainesville. So be prepared to find a spot to park. But well worth the wait! Place is generally busy all the time. Lunch and dinner hours especially. Best to call ahead and pick up your order if your taking out. These people crank out some serious volume out of this little place. The food is simply fantastic. My husband and I visited for lunch at 1:30 and they were packed! We both had the gyro wrap which was sweet very good!! If I were rating just off the wrap I would give them a 5. We got fries which were average. The wait was just a bit too long for takeout, but we will call in next time. I would say pricing is moderate. $17 for two huge wraps and one order of fries which we couldn't even finish. The atmosphere is alright. It's just a deli where you order at the counter. I'm completely fine with that since the gyros were so great! The staff were very friendly, quick, and concerned with their customers. Just had to wait a bit for takeout. I would rather quality over speed any day though. Side note: they have a few different types of baklava which have to be homemade and some cakes which I doubt are homemade. Brand new. Small Greek/gyro grill. Pretty decent for just opening, a few kinks to work out but that's to be expected in a new restaurant. I will try it again in a month or two to see what's been tweaked. Over all the food was good, I had a gyro wrap, some baba ganoush which they call eggplant dip, and the lemon chicken soup. Prices are also commensurate to the area and other restaurants nearby. Definitely worth a try if you are nearby. The one thing that was not great was the parking. Wow, this joint is jumping! And my first choice was the gyro wrap platter. Good start. About 12 bucks, big Gyro. (Good) salad, Greek potatoes xtra sauces. Very good service. Big plate of food. One of my favorite restaurants in Gainesville. Friends had told me about this place many times and due to its location I judged it negatively and never tried it. Don't judge a book by it's cover because this place is great. Now that I've tried it I hate myself for not eating here before and now I eat here at least once a week (takeout usually) My top recommendations are below: The Olympian with Greek potatoes- if you're really hungry this is an excellent option but it's a LOT of food. I usually get it and share it or eat half for dinner and half for lunch the next day. My second favorite is the Spaghetti with Greek meat sauce. They put cinnamon in the sauce which sounds weird but is absolutely incredible. The rolls they give you are also incredible. Last but not least the baklava cheesecake. Totally epic. read more

Seeing the packed parking lot on a rainy Saturday afternoon peaked my curiosity so I turned around to see what this tiny restaurant had to offer. I was greeted with plenty of staff at the counter who were willing to assist. Two orders, just under $16, one item was item was never placed in for order so it was never received. I did manage to get a very dried out gyro. I understand you've got a spinning chunk of meat, but it seems the meat was sliced off and left to dry out under a lamp before being placed on the pita. Without the side out extra tzatziki side, it would be hard to get down any of the meat. You need it to keep from chocking to death. The baklava? It's decent. If that's the selling point, find another place. Make sure you ask if anything in the baker's case is made in house. read more

So glad this town has a newly opened Greek gyro restaurant. It appears to be a family run operation. Food appears to be made from scratch. Nice casual atmosphere. The prices are inexpensive for the amount of food you get. Gyro was good. We were there at around 7 pm (they close at 8 pm). Although the gyro was a bit dry, it was made up by its flavor. Really good. Everything was fresh, staff was very attentive. We sampled their Lemon Chicken Soup, and it was really really good. They make it from scratch. We noticed that this place was busy with a lot of take out business. Worth coming back again and again. We're happy they're here and support local businesses. read more

Meat had a shreaded real meat texture not like that ground 90 10 Beef Lamb salt lick that Sysco Foods distributes. Pita was fresh and soft. They have a very expansive menu of Mediterranean favorites, Eggplant, potatoes, fresh Vegetables. Awesome dessert selection. Can not wait to go back with a group and try numerous items on the menu. I love the chicken souvlaki at this authentic Greek place. Everything I've tried has been delicious. The service is great and they have a wide selection of foods including several soups which have been welcome during recent cold weather.
