Aloha has to be one of my favorite dessert shops. Every flavor here is homemade, crafted from scratch with real ingredients. They have lots of interesting and delicious seasonal flavors which they frequently rotate out to introduce new ones. They also have cookie dough bites made in-house, and a wide array of toppings to choose from. The staff are incredibly enthusiastic, and always happy to provide recommendations, samples, or simply answer questions about what they serve. The pricing is comparable and I believe actually cheaper than Menchie's, Zoyo, and Yogurtini per ounce. As a tart enthusiast, the quality of their yogurt is better than all the aforementioned places I have tried. They also have frozen yogurt waffle tacos, great coffee, and treats for dogs as well! Super clean as well with both indoor and outdoor seating. Love this place and I will keep returning!

I lived in Tempe for almost nine years, and shortly after moving to Tempe, I scoured the area for some good dessert places, and Aloha Yogurt came up on the list. Therefore, I tried it. While the setup of the store has changed over the years, the high quality of the product has remained intact. The frozen yogurt is the best I have had in Arizona. They make every flavor in-house, and you can taste the difference, as every flavor tastes fresh. Every single flavor I have tried has been delicious in its own way. While some of my favorites are cake batter and salted caramel, I also like their Dole Whip flavor, as well as the dairy-free flavors they offer. The dairy-free flavors are very refreshing. I also appreciate that they offer a wide variety of toppings to choose from. Additionally, they make their cookie dough in-house, making it a perfect topping choice for those who crave something sweet. The owner, Whit, is a very nice guy who cares about everyone having a great experience in his shop. He is always a pleasure to talk to and is more than happy to offer suggestions for combinations based on what you are craving. The other staff members are also nice people. Each of them is always doing their job with a smile on their face. I like the colorful atmosphere. It is a great place to relax and enjoy your sweet treat or coffee. While their frozen yogurt is outstanding, their coffee is excellent as well. You cannot go wrong getting both, especially with their version of an affogato: frozen yogurt topped with espresso. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a great frozen yogurt spot. Aloha Yogurt is the king of frozen yogurt in Arizona.

The workers are always so nice here. The citron ginger tart taste exactly like the citron syrup. The pistachios was a favorite and as always my favorite is the plain tart. I love that they have many options and they're all good.

Going to Aloha quickly became a weekly routine. Other chains don't even come close. Aloha has a constantly rotating menu with both dairy free and no-sugar-added options, along with some other menu options like froyo sandwiches. Ask for a couple samples, choose your froyo and toppings, pay by weight. I prefer the tart flavors with fruit, but all of the ingredients are fresh and it seems like most (all?) of the yogurt is made in-house. The only downside is it can be a little slower if you come behind a couple groups of other customers. If you're not in a hurry, it's worth the wait.

The reviews are accurate. The stop is incredibly friendly. We literally tasted like six flavors. The froyo did not disappoint. And they have a bunch of dog treats. They even let us sample their cold brew. I mixed it with my yogurt and it was delicious. It's definitely worth a stop

Don't muck about with those self service options, just come here for your froyo treat. The staff is so happy, that you might think that they are mainlining froyo in the back. Take them up on the free samples and let them get you what has to be the best in the valley.

I've been to this plaza many times before and I'm mad at myself for just now stopping in this gem! Lots of amazing (rotating) flavors to choose from and you are able to customize your toppings. They also have speciality bowls you can choose from. My fiance got the Jason Samoa-- which included their Samoa yogurt, toasted coconut, and a Samoa Girl Scout cookie. My preference is more simple so i opted for their vanilla yogurt with Oreo topping. I also got a shot of espresso and poured some over my yogurt for a makeshift affogato and it was amazing. You can also request any bowl be an affogato and they will do it for you! They also have yogurt tacos and dog treats. Did not get any pictures of our bowl because I was having a conversation with the employee (who was amazing and super friendly i might add) about their espresso. Will definitely be back!

Place is super clean and great customer service!! I think the guys who serve it are the owners because they do a great job at representing the place. The yogurt is good but the toppings are even better. By this I mean the fruit is always fresh and I'm pretty sure the use name brand candies because it tastes better then generic stuff. read more

This is my favorite frozen yogurt place. I like that their selection of fruits are always fresh. They're always changing a few flavors around so you don't ever get bored. I'm always excited to see what new flavors there are. The employees are always nice and I like that they are opened late. I highly recommend this place if you are in the mood for frozen yogurt! read more

Phenomenal frozen yogurt! Best tasting and most creative flavors I have ever had. I am sad that they got rid of buy one get one free Thursdays. Now it's buy one get one half off on Thursdays. When I asked the employee why this was she said it was because the owner was going to use the extra money to invest it into the community... How bout you invest that money back into my wallet and give it for free again. Owner is really nice and the yogurt is so good I could never give this place anything less than 5 stars. read more

I used to go to Mojos all the time until I discovered Aloha Yogurt. They always have different flavors and the topics are fresh. I feel like I have far more choices here than I do other places. The first time I was here I didn't really like the yogurt just out of personal preference. I came back tonight because I saw the Yelp offer for one free bowl when you check-in. I of course waited to check in until I got to the register so if the coupon popped up at that time I could show the cashier, come to realize it is buy one get one free and it only shows you that fine print after you check-in. I guess I should've checked in before I got there? Doesn't make sense but oh well. I was pretty upset that I came all the way over here for a free bowl (because that's what the app says) to see if I'd like this place better the second time around and the check in offer/ad was displayed incorrectly. Granted the bowl I got was amazing this time. They have an incredible selection of toppings and had a Bailey's Irish cream and Guinness flavored yogurt's tonight and those both were great. The customer service was great. I asked for a sample cup and she personally scooped the flavor for me to try so that was nice. This place was full of people (and pups) at 9:30 on a freezing Sunday night so that may tell you how others enjoy it too. read more

Great place that regularly changes their flavors and they always have 2 dairy free options which is awesome!!!!! But the best is the tart flavors. Tastes like Greek yogurt. Add some fruity pebbles to it and you've got yourself the best ice cream yet!!! Locally owned too so I would way rather support this place than Zoyo which is also nearby. BOGO Thursdays are busy, so be ready for it! We arrived at just past 10:00 PM and the place was packed. Still, even though it was only one staff member, she moved everyone along and there was no waiting or confusion. The yogurt itself is very well flavored - the rootbeer float was my favorite, but the strawberry was pretty great too. The toppings are pretty standard, but the fruit was a little fresher than I typically see at other fro-yo places. I would definitely recommend it. read more

They have the basic fruit and candy treats to add on top, But they do have some interesting different flavors that others don't usually carry. Great place to sit outside with your dogs and hangout. They also have some frozen yogurt dog treat flavors for them to enjoy! Great friendly staff. read more

BEST YOGURT IN TEMPE/PHX HANDS DOWN!! The yogurt flavors rotate often, and there is always some sure winners! Typically around the same time every month my wife gets a craving for Aloha ;). I am not sure who is craving it more however. The owner is very friendly to every individual that walks in. Regardless of how many people he is helping at the time, he is sure to welcome everyone that walks in the door. Another reason to visit, he is an ASU grad. Seriously one of the best froyo's I've ever had. Biscoff cookie flavor with magicshell topping was awesome. Lots of unique flavors to go along with the standards. Fully stocked topping bar and reasonable pricing. Couches for seating was an added bonus. 5 star place. read more

We have lost count of how many times that we have been to Aloha. It is always the same guy working there. That's right, the owner is ALWAYS there. What that means is: this is NOT a bunch of teenagers working at some franchise that they don't care about. The guy working there REALLY cares about customer service & it shows! The flavors are always evolving, as are the toppings. If you don't see a flavor that you like, just mention it to him. Like I said, he is the owner & he REALLY wants to take care of people. You owe it to yourself to try this place! read more

The best froyo in Tempe! The staff is always really friendly, the inside is very clean, and they have great deals (Thursday is BOGO). The flavors are delicious, creative, and always changing. They make everything from scratch and you can tell by the quality of the taste. Our favorite rotating flavors are oatmeal cookie, cookie butter, and Nutella ... but you really can't go wrong! LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! All froyo is made out of real ingredients and taste better than all other frozen yogurts I've had. Even have froyo for your dog! They have kid movies playing everyday and all kinds of toppings like candy, fruit, waffles, chocolate sauce and more! Such a cute place has a small water fountain outside and a water bowl for dogs! Even better they are open really late hours till 11 and 12 for the weekends. read more

I have never ever been to this place living right across the street from it until one I picked up my son and nephews n brother from school they wanted yogurt this was the closest thing to us so tought I would give it a try right when we walked in the guys working gave us the meanest look saying umm excuse tell ur kids to not touch anything and just being super super rude so I ignored then went to try and see the flavor and he yells saying I told u if u want to sample tell me I didn't even want a fan sample I was looking then I get my yogurt tryin to get the topping he's yelling st the kids don't get near the toppings u shouldn't be near that and just plane rude then we go to pay and he's still having attitude until we say u knw what we are not goin to get this yogurt because u are rude he says ok better for me get out have a nice life I mean common he says to be the owner I doubt it but I said wow that's some customer service u have he says well if u don't like it leave my kids were crying scared saying why was this man being so to us these are 5,6 year olds ok and until this day don't even want to go out for yougurt cuz this unprofessional man who has a yogurt shop where kids are goin to be treated us like shit so forget that place never ever again read more

Including our custom flavors, everyday we feature 12 flavors and over 40 toppings with options that include a plain and a flavored tart, a No Sugar Added, a Dairy Free and a Wow Cow (Low Calorie). We make it a priority to make sure that we have a flavor option to fit the tastebuds and lifestyle of each individual that comes by for a break. History

Established in 2010.

Aloha Yogurt was founded and built by two friends with the plan to create a place where people could sneak away to relax and just take a break from life's never ending stresses. After the two founders earned their degrees from Arizona State University and the University of San Diego it was time to move on to what most people refer to as "Real Life." Well "Real Life" for these guys meant becoming entrepreneurs, a chance to create a business using their own point of view, acquired knowledge, hard work and creativity as their tools to success. The two worked day in and day out with the help of close friends to design and build every aspect of the shop from the tile floor up to the insulation in the drop ceiling. They wanted to make sure that customers could see the quality in their work and get a sense of the time and effort that had been put into their yogurt shop and products in order to separate it from others of the same self-serve concept... Welcome to Aloha Yogurt!

Meet the Business Owner: Whit H.

I grew up in the ski town of Sun Valley, Idaho and was an avid outdoor sports fan. My passions included skiing, mountain biking, hunting, and water sports. Knowing some day I would actually have to grow up and that I always wanted to pursue a career in marketing I moved to Tempe and attended ASU. After finishing college I took my restaurant experience and business degree to the next level by opening Aloha Yogurt in January 2010. I wanted to give Tempe a local frozen shop as an alternative to the big chains that have been popping up around town. By being a local shop I knew I could focus on the quality of my flavors and toppings by making them fresh and from scratch. I also take suggestions/requests from customers to widen my selection to fill everyone's sweet tooth. Since I opened the shop the brand has grown stronger with word of mouth from loyal customers and I have come to really enjoy the career path of an entrepreneur. I hope you stop by and enjoy a bowl of delicious froyo!

Whenever I am walking along Mill Avenue and am craving some ice cream, Sparky's is one of my main stops in the area. The ice cream is delicious. Some of my favorite flavors are Batter in Bed and Banana Cream Pie. However, I have had just about every flavor that they serve, and all of them are delicious in their own ways. I like the pleasant atmosphere. Nice and low-key place where you can relax and enjoy your ice cream. The general manager, Connor, is one of the nicest guys I have ever met. He is always a pleasure to talk to whenever I have some time for a friendly conversation during my lunch break at work. Every time I stop by, he ensures I feel welcome and right at home. Another bonus is that they have a rewards program, which offers five dollars off once you accumulate enough points. I recommend it to anyone in the Downtown Tempe area who is looking for a delicious ice cream treat.

So I am out today and it's getting pretty hot today! I wanted a snack and so I passed by Aloha Yogurt. I had never been there before as it was just timing and a spur of the moment decision. They were super friendly, I was amazed by all the flavors and I was craving coconut. I tried several flavors as they were very accommodating and then just decided on a plain sugar free vanilla with coconut sprinkles. I would of never even known I was eating something so low in sugar and fat free. It tasted like my favorite tub of bad for me ice cream (not saying) LOL! I definitely will be coming back through here now that I have finally stopped. It's amazing what you can find if you just try something! Very refreshing! Now back to work a few more hours! Gotta go! This has been such a great late-night treat for my sister and I. We live really close and we love to come later in the evening to get a little treat and the gentlemen who works there is SO NICE.
