I stopped by Aloha Sweets for a single scoop of ice cream and somehow managed to offend the cashier by asking what flavors they had. Since the flavors weren't listed anywhere (or prices!), I thought it was a reasonable question. Apparently not. The older cashier acted visibly annoyed that I would even ask and responded as if I was creating a major inconvenience. After ringing up my $8.50 scoop, she immediately pushed the tip screen toward me. Given the attitude, I declined. She rolled her eyes, made a snide comment along the lines of "of course not!!," then turned to her coworker and started complaining about me within earshot. The ice cream was fine. The service was astonishingly bad. If you're tired of customers, customer service may not be the right line of work. Plenty of other places in Maui sell ice cream without the side of hostility. She was rude, impatient, and yelled at us. They tell you a random number not explaining it and then expects us to remember it. For a 12oz lemonade it is 10 bucks and not worth it, tasted like dole juice and lemonade mixed. read more

First off, why do they not have prices listed? Doesn't it get annoying constantly answering a question you could avoid just by posting the prices?! No real menu.. more like advertising signs. Boba tea is on the sign but all I saw was lemonade. A girl asked what kind of boba and the lady just said "yes". What kind of answer is that? It's not a yes or no question.. Why is there no menu?! Service was rude. An older lady as cashier. Not helpful when answering questions. She said cash only for sundaes, but when I asked if they took card she said yes. she came off as deceptive and shouldn't be the cashier. If my kid didn't want dessert, I would've just left. Malasada sundae was meh. Malasadas were not fresh. They were warm at best.. kinda hard on the outside, making them taste old. It just tasted cheap (cheap ice cream, cheap whipped cream). Also, I asked for extra spoons as I was sharing with 6 people. She would only give me 2. I understand not wanting to be wasteful, but I was only asking for 3.. would one extra really have made that much of a difference? The line for this food truck seems to always be busy. They are clearly a popular spot. We were eager to try Malasadas and they were so good, we literally came back a second time to get more. The chocolate dipping sauce is a great compliment to the Malasadas. We didn't have to wait very long for our order to come up and the staff working this truck were always so friendly. Several people were ordering sundaes. Seems like they have several goodies to try! read more

When I tell you I was excited to see this I'm not even lying! Malasadas are my all time favorite thing to get when visiting Hawaii and being able to get them with icecream on top was YUMMY!!! I got mine with strawberry icecream, the other flavors were vanilla and chocolate. The strawberry icecream was so good and tasted like real strawberries!! Service was great! read more

Crash register lady is RUDE AS HELL. I could not believe the service my family was receiving. Rushing our order and not answering the questions we had on the menu.. looked annoyed with the SIMPLE questions we had. Then something was missing from our order and she just bickered at me and said she had other customers.. umm WE are also customers?! Dessert was amazing. Cute food truck across the street from Times Supermarket in Honokowai (Honoapiilani Food Truck Park). This seemed to be the only dessert truck there tonight (and the busiest). 2 local braddahs were running the show. Super nice and polite even though the customers were non-stop. The chocolate shake was creamy and sweet. Very good. My son loved it. The strawberry boba almost tastes like melted strawberry guri guri. Refreshing on this warm summer night. Yum! But the BEST dessert was the malasada sundae. 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream on top. The malasadas were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Idk what kind of magic oil they used, but the malasadas were still semi crispy after a 5 min walk back to our hotel. I would definitely come all the way back here just for this! My only gripe is that there were no prices on the signs. For our 3 items, the bill was almost $40. But this obviously did not deter us from trying. read more

The Malasadas were greasy and dumped into a paper bag. We ordered them with chocolate sauce and we watched them squirt Hersheys syrup in a plastic container. For the high price we expected homemade sauce and a better presentation. They were pleasant when taking our order. The food truck area is cute with tables and various trucks. read more

The lady that worked there was so rude and tried to take my money. I ordered 1 lemonade and I KNOW I gave her a $20 bill but she only gave me $1 back. When I asked her (nicely) about it, she said I only gave her $10. She was immediately defensive even though I had already said ok because I didn't know what else to say. When I told my friends what happened, they went back to ask for my money. She told them she knew I gave her a 10 because she didn't have any 20's in her register (seems weird to me). She said to come back the next day after she counted her register, then said she wouldn't be there the next day. Then said to come back later that night before she closed but wouldn't give them a specific time and literally shooed them away. When they went back later, she said she "didn't have time for this" and finally gave them my money back. Very rude and deceptive. read more

My family and I are in Maui for vacation! We decided to stop by the food trucks near our hotel. GLAD WE DID! The pineapple lemonade caught my eye INSTANTLY. My whole family decided to get one each. We were offered to get our lemonade in a mason jar! if you do this you can bring your glass, with the sticker on, for a 5$ refill whenever you would like! Any day! There was PLENTY of seating covered and uncovered. Tables were very clean and so was the grounds. It's a gravel and dirt road just lined with food trucks! very well lit area as well! 10/10 recommend! read more

Good lemonade. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Whoever the lady with the pink shirt was, work on clearer communication. We went to order a lemonade and were told to come back in 10 minutes. Not that one would specifically be ready for us in 10 minutes but we figured she was still setting up. My husband went back thinking she was ready to sell the lemonade and she gave my husband a hard time that she'd already sold his and to come back in another 10 minutes. Why does lemonade take 10 minutes? If each one is made fresh to order, COMMUNICATE THAT. She then turned around and was mumbling something to her colleague. Very unprofessional. read more

$12 Lemonade was decent. I ordered the extra large mason jar and asked for a few extra straws. I also tipped. She was annoyed that I asked her for straws as she handed them to me. She said "you don't need a third straw. You need to buy another drink." And then she rolled her eyes and walked away annoyed. You live and die by your customers reviews. I'm not the average tourist and I don't walk around without manners. Paid for something and needed another straw. Didn't ask for cups and extra ice. I went to order a lemonade($12) and the lady was BEYOND RUDE because I did not want to upgrade to the larger size, she insisted on giving her a tip and I'm not in the place to do so and she got angry at me. She no longer spoke to me told me that it would take 10 minutes, she was serving the people behind me. Let me just start by saying that the owners of this truck are super sweet and the only reason why they're getting four stars out of five is because they were out of churros! I was going back about three or four times out of our visit to Maui since we were staying at a hotel right next-door. I've just been craving churros and this place was really close and convenient.. It's located in the area of the food trucks. Since they didn't have any of the churros on the last day, I went ahead and ordered these really delicious gooey warm donuts. You get a good amount of donuts about 10 I wanna say and they are pretty good size about 2 to 3 bites each. These donuts aren't cheap, but they are delicious!!! They reminded me a little bit of beignets. You also got to choose a syrup to dip your donuts in. I will believe the choices for chocolate strawberry and one other choice, but I got the strawberry recommendation of the owner. There's no real ambience or restaurants and it's a food truck, but you do sit outside in the area and enjoy your food on a picnic table. I guess I'll have to come back another time to Maui and hit this place up again and see if they have any churros this time so I can change my review to five stars. read more

Beware -- these guys will overcharge you and then argue when you call it out. We clearly ordered one large to share between our kids, but they took it upon themselves to double the order--and double the charge--without asking. When we noticed the issue and brought it up politely, they got defensive and confrontational instead of trying to make it right. It felt shady and intentional, not like a mistake. Definitely not the "aloha spirit" they claim to represent. This place isn't just disappointing--it's deceptive. I wouldn't want anyone else to get taken advantage of the way we did. Was a little hard to determine what we wanted to get there's not a very straightforward menu but they do tell you what they have vaguely. Prices aren't listed so I was a bit surprised when a milkshake and a bag of Malissa's was over $30 BUT they were still very delicious. read more

Went to the food trucks and found this place. The malasadas were good, but the service was extremely slow. By far took the longest of all of the trucks we patronized. The menu is also seriously lacking. First off, there is no pricing. Second, it doesn't tell you how many malasadas you get per order. They sell other things like tapioca, but again, no menu of flavors, sizes, etc. Trying to order with kids without a good menu is really difficult. For this reason, I'm not sure I would go again. Paid $48 for 2 orders of malasadas and one sundae. read more
