What a cute little cafe situated in a newly renovated house setting on Monsarrat avenue near Pioneer Saloon. There is parking behind the building or on the street. If you get there before 10am, you can score a great breakfast special with a purchase of a drink. Their lunch specials look delish too, I need to return for that! We were walking back from our hike at diamond head and of course we were hungry!! We found this place cute little cafe on our way back to our hotel and we were pleasantly surprised. I ordered the chicken plate and my partner got the shrimp plate. We enjoyed each thoroughly. You will not be disappointed. Everyone was amicable and service was good. I originally saw this place on Tiktok, so when I was in the area I made sure to visit. It's a cute cafe that has much more than drinks; they serve breakfast items as well as plate lunches. We ordered two drinks, the first one was a strawberry one and another was a pineapple based drink. Both were very refreshing and delicious. Lots of seatings indoor & outside. I believe they have a small parking lot on the side, but if you're hiking Diamond Head it's easier to walk over. Definitely stopping by again! read more

Cute new cafe on Monsarat! The interior is clean, chic, and very comfortable!! A great place to catch up with a friend or sit and do some work! The staff is incredibly friendly, and the menu is simple but unique! The smoothies here are really good as well, so it's a great place to grab a refreshment after hiking Diamond Head or something! I love that they keep their front door open! There are indoor seats, but the open air feel is very comfortable. There are a few tables outside as well. There are only about 3 or 4 spaces in the back parking lot, plus it's super hard to get in and out of, so I recommend finding street parking. It really hasn't been too difficult, as its a very residential area! read more

Yum!! Loved the garlic shrimp plate. Not too oily and just the right amount of garlic. I liked the mac salad too, not too much mayo. I tried a piece of the mochiko chicken from my bf's plate too and it was the best, not too oily, soft and not too breaded. Next time I will get the garlic shrimp and chicken combo piece! Small and cute cafe, came after kokohead for some smoothies. Got the mango passion smoothie, green smoothie, and split a mochico chicken and garlic shrimp plate. Both the smoothies were a bit mild on flavor. The mochiko chicken and shrimp were flavorful! They definitely lean healthy here on the Mac and rice. The rice has other grains in it. I'd want to try to morning plate if I came back, looks like good value for $3.80. overall average for smoothie read more

On my morning run (ok more like a jog/walk or heavy breathing/panting session), I came across this new spot. After a little googling, I found that there are Aloha Cafe Pineapple locations in Japan. The cafe is super cute with a decent amount of indoor space (open air) and three outdoor tables. It's a breakfast and lunch spot with drinks, smoothies and bowls, breakfast food, and lunch plates. I ordered a latte with caramel and added on the "Morning Plate" which I basically fun toast for an additional $4. This light bite was under $10. I chose the cheese sugar toast. Sounds strange but tasted great! The bread it's self was thick and soft. It came with a side salad and a pineapple slice to balance out the meal. I thoroughly enjoyed the sweet service, the ambiance and my food and drink and will return to try the lunch plates and cute, colorful sodas. Just note for you all hard core coffee people or coffee snobs, the only have almond and soy milk. Also, the syrups are not sugar free. Don't let this get in the way of enjoying the magical toast! read more

If you are near Diamond head, this is a nice place to grab lunch or breakfast. Aloha Cafe Pineapple is neat and clean. The food is also presented that way too. The grilled chicken was delicious. It came with rice, Mac salad, and salad. My expression is Japanese cooking style meeting American dishes. I enjoyed each bite and so did my three year old. This is a new cafe on Monsaraat next to CB & T Leaf. It's quaint with parking and a bathroom! We had the grilled chicken plate and the morning set. The morning set is very affordable but you must order a drink so it's like a drink & beverage set. The have coffees, smoothies and speciality sodas. They have outdoor seating but the sun is too strong. Plenty of seating indoors. This is leisure dining. They have one staff in the am and a second comes in at noon. Cafe is nicely decorated with wood and is very cute. There is no air conditioning. We had the plantation iced tea and Montserrat set and the French toast . The best French toast on the island. Came here for a late lunch on Sunday. We parked on the street and walked up. I enjoyed my taco rice. It legit reminded me of Okinawa. Someone here mentioned that they weren't asked how they wanted the egg cooked when they ordered theirs but that typically isn't done with this dish. My girlfriend enjoyed her chicken and shrimp. The staff was very friendly and appreciative. One of them even came over and chatted us up and asked how we were enjoying everything. read more

What a great addition to a busy well populated street! This cafe is a perfect place to have a drink and a light snack (I recommend their toast special). I personally ordered the soy latte which was a decent size for the price along with their toast special which is $4+ if you purchase a beverage. The choices for the toast was between cheese and egg salad. I tried both of them and each were flavorful with the cheese option leaning towards the sweeter side. The bread was also Japanese style and it was fluffy and delicious. This +$4 special also includes a small salad and a fruit. What a great deal!! While they do not have any iced teas, they have a variety of sodas. The sodas tasted like it was made with fresh fruit and the pineapple soda also came with a generous wedge of pineapple. Parking: There's a small lot in the back of the cafe with limited stalls. I got lucky but you may have to park on the street nearby. read more

Everything I've been wishing for in a little cafe! Except, they don't serve tea so I might need to start drinking coffee. Very Japanese style morning set with either egg salad or cheese sugar toast plus a drink. Cheese sugar might sound a little strange but it's amazing--trust me! It also comes with a little bit of mixed greens with goma dressing. Super Japanese style Western breakfast to have salad and I love it :) If you wait until 11am they switch to lunch and their taco rice is delish (but not spicy) and their tartar chicken is actually chicken nanban so deep fried chicken pieces dipped in a vinegar sauce and served with an egg/tartar sauce on top. Really good but I think a little more sauce would make for a better bite ratio. So much attention to detail in the presentation makes the experience even better. I will be back! read more

This cute little spot was exactly what we needed after hiking Diamond Head. An employee came out to greet us when we were looking at the menu. We ended up getting the cafe latte (one iced, one hot) and ordered the service meal add on which included egg salad toast or cheese sugar toast, a small salad, and a piece of pineapple. We tried both toast options and they were great, even the sugar toast (strange combo but it worked)! The salad was a nice touch and the pineapple was juicy and sweet. We have passed by this cafe so many times and finally decided to try it! The space is so clean and bright, such a fun area to dine in! They also have great shaded outdoor seating that was perfect for us since we had our dog with us. We ordered the ginger chicken and a mango passion smoothie. The chicken was so tender and flavorful, the Mac salad was light and not covered in too much Mayo, the salad dressing was soooo ono! The mixed rice was so soft and pillowy, and was perfect to soak up all the extra ginger sauce. The mango passion smoothie was so fresh and topped with a pineapple slice. We stumbled upon this darling restaurant as we were looking for a grocery store. It was exactly what we had in mind for breakfast. I noticed a QR code on the door for online ordering, scanned it, grabbed an outdoor table and figured I'd give that a try. I ordered the Smoked Salmon and Bacon sandwich, the Apple Pecan Salad with balsamic dressing, and a large cold brew. I paid online and sat outside for maybe 15-20 minutes. I never did figure out whether I was supposed to get a notification that my order was ready, so eventually I just went inside to check. Sure enough, it was ready. Easy enough, and everyone I interacted with was incredibly kind. Then I got home and opened everything, and THAT is when I became really impressed. I had included a note with my order that I planned to eat the salad the following day and asked that the wet ingredients be kept separate. They absolutely understood the assignment. Everything was packaged so thoughtfully. The Apple Pecan Salad was beautiful, incredibly fresh and substantial, with the ingredients carefully separated so it would keep. It wasn't some obligatory pile of greens tossed into a container. You could actually see the care that went into making it. The Smoked Salmon and Bacon sandwich was equally good. Fresh, generously filled and absolutely delicious. I ate half the sandwich and some of the salad and was completely satisfied. Between the two, I can easily get four meals out of what I ordered, which makes the value even better. And the cold brew? Wowzer. Robust and delicious! I think what impressed me most was simply the level of care. A sandwich and a salad aren't complicated foods, but doing simple food really well takes effort. Fresh produce, good ingredients, thoughtful preparation, paying attention to a customer's request, and putting out food that looks every bit as good as it tastes. I felt that in this order. I actually tipped 15% when I ordered because I was thinking, okay, this is basically grab-and-go. After I got home and ate the food, I wished I'd tipped 20%. It genuinely felt good spending my money here. This was visit number one, and they've already set the benchmark. I really hope they stay exactly like this, because what a find. I will absolutely be back.

I don't want to be that person when this place has an overall rating of 4.5 but this is just my honest opinion. I got the blue dream and yes it was very ascetically pleasing, but it was just too icy. Before coming to this place i read a couple of reviews that also said the same thing and i didn't understand what that meant, but now I do. There are a lot of flavorless, just regular, small shards of ice in the bowl. On top of that, the moment I received my bowl, it was already borderline melted. So that got me thinking, how can it be melted and icy at the same time? The only explanation that I can think of is just ice additive/fillers. It's not pure cold acai or whatever is in the bowl you choose, but there's a mixture of ice in it too. Yes I understand, it's Waikiki, everything is more expensive, but the added topping prices on top of the already expensive bowl prices just don't make sense. You want a beautiful looking bowl with a lot of different toppings, yet some toppings can go up to 1 dollar PER topping. I don't know if I've just been spoiled by a couple places in SoCal, but at those places they have unlimited toppings and those bowls are the best that there is. I'm not bringing any bias from other locations, but this is just an honest review based on my experience today.

The timing in the app isn't always right because sometimes it says ready in 20 minutes but it's in 5 and sometimes it's in like 30. I don't think they adjust the timing to reflect how busy they are inside; I wish they did. Small spot to sit down and eat there if you want and some outdoor tables. However the outdoor tables are considered takeout, so if you order desserts, it won't come on the plates, it will be boxed, and sometimes a mess when the ice cream parts melt and make the paper soggy. No bathrooms inside. They are friendly enough but they often feel like they don't really want to be there but they're cordial enough. I will keep coming back for the dessert anyway! They say they close at 9pm but they don't. The told me 8:45pm and if you come at 8:55pm they're basically shut down. Not a fan of this because if you really close at 8:45pm, then change your hours. Otherwise actually stay open til 9pm, which does mean workers have to stay later. In any case, I'm not a fan when there's this mismatch. On the other hand. The Alley says they're open til 9pm, and if you're at the door at 9pm, they'll let you in.

It was two pieces of toast with two eggs in a bed of arugula and a very generous amount of avocado. It was cooked to perfection and exactly what I needed after our hike. The pancakes are HUGE so I would recommend only ordering one. My husband was about to get two, but the waiter kindly suggested ordering only one, and she was right. Absolutely loved this place and can't wait to come back!
