I had a really great experience with my move. The team was punctual and very careful with all my belongings. I was moving onto the 3rd floor where there wasn't any elevators and the team really did a superb job. Lastly, my concern was the time management any mover I hired would employ. I wouldn't recommend this company to ANYONE. They broke a washer that was being delivered from one household to my own. When the original owner called the "manager", he offer $150 off the trip. THE WASHER COSTED OVER $500. I think that it's complete bullshit. The manager offer to make the delivery free but WHAT ABOUT THE BROKEN washer? Then offered a used one from Craigslist ... Someone needs to break something of his and tell them they aren't gonna replace it. DO NOT use this company!! They don't take responsibility for their actions and now I'm without a washer bc THEY BROKE IT. I repeat, DO NOT hire these people. I will write a review every day until I have a washer!! Awful!! Terrible!! NO WAY I would ever work with these guys ever again. The owner is rude and unconscionable. We requested a complete pack and move, and was given an hour window of arrival. We received a call that they were going to be four hours later than the original time quoted. We were fine with it but then it took a turn for the worst. When we questioned the travel time and traffic now being involved he told us we would still be charged, even though they were 4 hours late and we wouldn't have had traffic. The manger/owner then got rude and combative when we challenged him because of their tardiness, he even threatened to cancel the move. My boyfriend had to get involved and then the manager became even more of a jerk. We ended up canceling our move and now are stuck trying to find another company last minute. read more

Ray, the owner, is the most hard-working, considerate, conscientious person I have ever met. He helped us move from Austin to San Diego. everything that he committed to doing, he did. For example, such as arriving the day of the move as well as when he brought our items to San Diego. We also appreciate the extra care that he gave to our furniture and belongings to ensure that they were protected. Thank you Ray for all that you did for us to make this journey a great start!!! WORST MOVERS EVER!! THIEVES! STOLE $5,000!!! First off, we moved less than a mile away and moved everything but the big items... they turned a 1 hour job into a 4 hour job. Way to just take our money. Second, they scratched up EVERYTHING (new hardwood floors, wall, doors, wood furniture, etc.)!! Way to not know how to do your job. Lastly, they STOLE a box of photography/videography equipment worth $5,000!! They nicely offered me a $50 credit in return for the stolen box. Ummm... 1) $50 is no where near $5,000. Good try. Go back to school. 2) Why would I ever use you again?! They thought it was strange I waited to file a police report since I wanted to check the entire house before officially calling them thieves. I guess we're rude people for not jumping the gun on that. Oh, did I mention the video camera had our wedding and honeymoon on it. I should declare myself an employee of Almighty Movers because I did more work than the guys that showed up. Right out of the gates I told them I wanted to be finished in a timely manner, so while they walked slowly and worked in between phone calls I was loading the truck for them. I even offered to boost their tips to get them to move quicker, but no luck - so they lost their tips. I'll give them full credit on taking extra care of a piece of furniture with lots of sentimental value, but all the other pieces were left by the wayside. I worked as a mover for two years in college and used to make fun of local movers (I worked for a large company) for being slow and not caring about efficiency and quality. Even after a few years have passed since I was on their side of the moving experience, I can still run circles around these local hacks. read more

These movers are UP FRONT kinda guys. They told me up front that they charge by the hour and it is a 2 hour minimum so....... they could haul a$$ and get it done in 2 hours for a BIG TIP or they could make it a $600 move. I was on a budget and negotiated they move the big items only. At the end of the move and $$ exchange the mover gave me my driver's license. I NEVER gave him my license which means he took it from my wallet out of my purse. EXTORTIONISTS!! at best. read more

They showed up when they said they would and spent the day moving us from a 2nd floor apartment to a house with stops at a storage facility and a garage to pick up n5 deliver our furniture and boxes. They were courteous and wore masks while in the house. Fernando kept his guys moving and worked with us if he noticed out of order. read more

Worked in a timely manner, they were super careful with all our furniture pieces, and showed up right on time! they moved us from a top floor apt ( which was tedious because of the elevator), to a 2 story home AND even hooked up our washer and dryer! PROS: USAA discount, quick quote turnaround, on time, careful and friendly movers, competitive and inexpensive prices (I moved 20 mins away across town from a 1 bedroom apartment to home and avg cost including tip was $300), dissembled and assembled furniture correctly. CONS: buffet was slightly scratched, did not receive a courtesy check before the move date as notified by the owner; however, he was very receptive when I emailed for confirmation as peace of mind as moving is stressful enough. TIP: in all my years of moving, I have always moved my valuables myself. Furniture can be replaced, but family heirlooms and anything else of personal value cannot. read more

I used Almighty Movers in August to move some furniture and a refrigerator from Austin to San Antonio and it was a good experience. They were professional and wrapped all of the items in padded blankets. They were accomodating when I asked if we could load more and then they gave me a fair quote for the additional items. This was a last minute decision and they worked us in. I had called others and Almighty mover's were comparable in price. I would use them again - they were a life and back saver! read more

I do have a lot to say about these guys, they were really slow. I did mention to the owner that I had two guys that I setup through Uhaul (when I originally moved my four bedroom home into another four bedroom home) that ran circles around their three guys. However, I did call the owner and tell him that one of the three was working hard and I appreciated his work and I am sure the other two slowed the whole process down. I can't say anything bad about how they handled my furniture I was good with that but these guys could have been a lot faster there was a lot of conversations being held in the truck while one piece was put in which delayed the whole process. I will not be referring these guys to anyone else I know. My recommendation is get movers through Uhaul. I put my own stuff back together due to the process taking way too long read more

Horrible experience. Workers were unprepared and damaged the washer by loading it on a rolling cart, unsecured in route to destination. The manager doesn't respect military or veterans and lied about having a location. I would not recommend them to anyone; do not use this service. read more

We were pretty dissatisfied. Our realtor recommended Almighty Movers to us but I will tell him not to recommend them to anyone else. The guys were pleasant and the lead guy seemed to know what to do unfortunately his oversight on the others was poor. We were moving about a mile down the road to a new house. 1. They said they had assembled the beds but when we went to put our son to bed only the outer frame was put together but the cross pieces were missing no where to be found 2. The door was left off the hinges at our old house 3. My dresser has a gouge in the corner 4. Not all out belongings were moved. Pictures, rugs and other things were left. 5. The washing machine and dryer were not hooked up in the new house 6. They used our tools without asking leaving them strewn all over the floor and had no tools at the new house to reassemble things 7. They left cups and cans in the driveway 8. Some boxes were not labeled and those that were labeled were put in the wrong place for example garage box put in master closet, kids bedroom put in kitchen etc 9. Master bed reassembled backwards 10. Guest bed not assembled at all (no tools) We were charged by the hour and it got pretty expensive. I expressed my dissatisfaction to Fernando and he offered to reimburse me $100 but that really was an inadequate response given the $3500 it cost us. I told him it would be very difficult for me to recommend his company to anyone else. I wish our experience had been different. read more

If you are on a schedule and your move is time sensitive then don't hire them. I was quoted between 2 and 5....they ended up sending another company for me due to their delay. They got there at 630. Very bad, the only thing i liked was the price and that he called someone else to help. Im sure they are good but when another moving company tells you how often this happens you begin to believe the negative reviews. I wished they handled this better. I won't hire them and i have a friend and relative who will be moving soon and i will not recommend these guys to them read more
