Amazing. Seriously amazing! I'm plant based and gluten free and my friend loves meat and dairy, but has a million allergies. We each found delicious food to eat. Loved this place! I came last Monday for a late lunch with a friend. Since the moment we walked in everyone was very polite & friendly. My friend suggest that we sit upstairs just because it's a bit more private which I didn't mind at all. I really liked the decor upstairs. There was this cute lounge spot which I loved for some cute pictures. So, I had chilaquiles de las casa Alma Verde, which I thought the dish was so good. We got sat right away and the staff there are super friendly and polite! Excellent customer service. My mom ordered a sweet hot coffe. My sister ordered detox I and I ordered detox II. Mom loved her drink and sister and I loved our detox as well! They came in such a cute bottle. Nice presentation. We ordered the oatmeal pancakes! More incredients come on it but I can't remember all of them! They were delicious!!! It comes 2 of them but we had that to share plus our main entrees so that was perfect. It was kinda like our dessert. My mom got the alma verde chilaquiles with eggs. My sister got the chicken pesto sandwich. And I got the mushroom omelette (no cheese). My moms chilaquiles were not spicy but they were super tasty. We loved them. My sisters sandwich was yummy she loved it. The chicken was well cooked how she likes it. And my Omelette was delicious. We visited Alma Verde recently during a trip down south to Tijuana. We searched Yelp for a place to eat in the local neighborhood we were visiting. The crowd scene was fun and crowded with other couples and families. The coffee we ordered was excellent as was the omelette. Their menu selection made me want to return. The valet attendant even retrieved our car from the car wash across the street and parked in directly in front of Alma Verde. Haha We shared a fruit platter to start off and then I ordered the detox 2 drink with a vegan Caesar salad and vegan nachos! Both of those dishes are the best thing I've ever had! They use mushrooms to emulate asada and they don't skimp when it comes to the vegan cheese and cashew cream! It was a good balance of creamy and lemoney! Also, the Caesar salad had sesame and hemp seeds which made it taste so creamy I'm definitely going to be back to order more food! We started with a juice that the server said was fresh: fresh out of the bottle then he finally came back to take our order. At 9:25 our meal was not ready yet, yikes. My niece got up to talk to the server and as she walked away he rolled his eyes. After about 10 minutes another person shows up with the wrong order and by this time we see people that had patiently waited outside for tables, already eating and a couple leaving after their meal. But us: no food and no service!!! We said we were leaving and my niece still had to pay for the bottled juice, omg, I wouldn't have paid a dime. We ordered buffalo cauliflower and they were cooked on the outside and still cold in the inside. After notifying the server, I asked for a fresh cooked order. They brought back the exact same plate with the same order now burned. So they don't know if I coughed or sneezed or touched all over that food with soiled hands. They dunked it back into the grease where they cook all the food then tried to re-serve it to me and that is how sickness is spread. Returned food should go to the trash! Total health hazard.
