Well, this is my first of several reviews today so here goes. I hadn't been to the Galleria in Edina in years. I usually shop around the St Paul area but decided to make a day of shopping in Edina. I've been to Allure in St Paul but wasn't aware they had a shop here until I walked by so I decided to stop in. Luckily for me, Meagan was there, somebody I have worked with in the past and she remembered me! What a nice surprise. I started a new job so I figured I was long overdue for a bra fitting and found that i had gone two sizes down since I have lost about 20 pounds since my last visit. Meagan led me to a fitting room and promptly showed me about 10-12 choices in my size. Mostly basics. After deciding on several that were very comfortable, I went onto buying two other t-shirt bras that I think will be really pretty this summer. As you probably know, Allure's bras are little more expensive than your "average bras" but I have had a good experience with my prior purchases lasting and staying comfortable over time. They are well worth the few extra dollars. At checkout, Meagan reminded me how to care for my bras so I picked up some Forever New. If you haven't tried it before, it's a great detergent that smells beautiful and is easy on your clothing. I was happy to hear that I had a few dollars of credit left from a prior return and used that. I have to say that if you haven't been to Allure, you should really thinking about stopping in. They make you feel very welcome and are very professional about finding you the right bra. I am also very private and modest and the environment is comfortable and welcoming. I am glad to know they have other locations for when I venture out of St Paul. Looking forward to going back soon! read more

I felt very comfortable shopping at Allure Intimate Apparel. It had a very sophisticated atmosphere, but it was also good for someone who wasn't entirely sure what they were looking for. I just got out of college, and I felt as though I was really respected as a customer. The staff didn't have the same snobby attitude that I often get when I go to a store in The Galleria... I was looking for wedding night lingerie, and the staff there really tried to help me find exactly what I was looking for! There was a good range of prices available. They made sure I got exactly the right size, and they didn't want me to walk out with something that didn't fit me just perfectly. The piece I got was $75, which I thought was extremely reasonable. I would have paid the same price at a number of "cheaper" locations. While there wasn't a huge selection available, I actually preferred that because I didn't feel overwhelmed with options. I also appreciated the location of the store and felt that it offered more privacy compared to other places I've looked at. It doesn't draw a lot of attention to itself, and unlike a department store or a Victoria's Secret, I didn't feel as though there was a huge risk of me running into anyone I knew. read more

I had a really terrible experience at this store. The sales person who was fitting me made me feel uncomfortable and treated me with disrespect. While getting fitted they commented on my tattoos, on parts of my body that are normally covered up. I found this to be very unprofessional and made me feel violated as I was unclothed and they were touching my body and making comments. After trying on a bra, I asked if I could try one on that would give me more coverage so my skin wasn't puckering out. They proceeded to talk down to me and make me feel stupid as "I need this part of my body to function and without it I wouldn't be able to raise my arms". I was only asking a question and instead felt shamed/stupid. After numerous interactions similar to this I left without purchasing anything and will not be returning. Edit after the business owners response: It speaks volumes that your first reaction is to invalidate someones experience. This happened Oct 16th at the galleria. I had a friend with me who also observed/heard everything. My experience was real and valid and I'm sorry you feel as if you have to reject a review because it's bad instead of listen. read more

I brought a bra a couple of months ago. They told me I had two weeks to return it if I did not like it for an exchange, no money back, but the tags still had to be on the bra. I took it home wear it for a couple of hours and it was very uncomfortable so I brought it back. They showed me a couple of other bras that I could try on but my the bra I wanted was not in the color I wanted, so they shipped me a one. The same thing happened as before, it was really uncomfortable to wear. I did not bring it back right away, but I did stop into the store and asked them if the straps were not right or why it was not fitting me right. The person said that I had everything right. But since you have had the bra more then 2 weeks we can not exchange it. Then she asked me if I would like to try another bra, because why would you want to wear a bra that is uncomfortable to wear. My thought is, if you have had 2 chances to make the bra fit right, why would I spend another $65.00 and have the same problem. Next time I go bra shopping I will make sure I can return it and get my money back if I do not like the fit. read more

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Walked into Allure feeling that I could not be helped. I walked out feeling great about myself! I was asked if I would like a bottle of water a couple of times, and was apologized to several times because of how busy they were and I had to wait (last day of the swimsuit sale). I am from a small town and did not know what to expect from this shop in Brookfield, but my experience was wonderful! Although this was a very busy day, I waited only a short time before I was fitted with the correct size and cup bra. I never imagined that an underwire bra could be so comfortable. Worth every penny and personally, I think I look amazing, and so does my husband. read more

Ladies- what do we carry with us every day that deserve the very best? Our breasts! If you are looking for a great selection for EVERY size with associates that are knowledgeable, professional and helpful than look no further than Allure Edina! My girlfriend and I made the trek to Edina Wednesday night and were so thrilled with the experience I went back and purchased two more Friday. When I say they are awesome I mean it! I have had two kids and am approaching 40. Allure had bras in every shape and size to make my almost 40-year-old "girls" look like they were twenty-something again. I had the best experience at Allure! I have been buying bras at Nordstrom for the past several years. I walked by Allure and decided to turn around and go in. It took 15 minutes to get fitted and buy 2 bras. The sales person was very nice, efficient, and really knew the instock inventory & which bras were available to order in other colors. She also found an item for me at another store and had it shipped. So easy and no awful trip to Mall of America! I really liked the dressing room area that wasn't filled with several other fitters and shoppers. Excellent store! read more

I'm so glad to have a local store that sells in sizes other than the standard ones! I wear a band size of 30 and it's really difficult to find in the department stores, and I prefer to try them on before purchasing instead of ordering them online and then returning them. The people who work there are really helpful and don't seem to mind bringing a ridiculous number of bras to my fitting room for me to try on. Another thing I will say is that the brands they sell are NOT cheap. However, they last a lot longer than other brands you would typically purchase. read more

I visited this store because my husband thought it was time for a new bra, and one that actually fit. I was finally done nursing our baby and agreed, although still hesitant and definitely a little uncomfortable. But, the staff was so experienced and professional, all that initial discomfort disappeared. I tried on many great bras, and walked out with two. Now about three weeks have passed, and I am so satisfied with the two bras that I now own. In fact, I wish I hadn't waited so long to get professionally fitted. I liked the experience! Mel helped me. I am a Natural Health person, that definitely does not want underwire bras!! I did find 3 and purchased them. I wish there is more of a choice. I do appreciate having this store in Minnesota, because I have had to travel to Atlanta, Kansas, and Chicago to find the same one's you carry here . Officially the bra store that I trust the most! I've been to so many places and gotten so many different sizes that never fit right, but the moment I tried on the bra I was given at Allure I felt like a weight (literally) had been lifted off of my chest. Right from the start the service was amazing. I was greeted right away, she worked with me and listened to my problems, and offered many different options. Excellent experience! I was hesitant to stop because I only had 45 minutes. Having never been there, I was used to the normal hour plus of searching for a bra that fit. I was in and out in 20 minutes. I told the clerk what I was looking for, she brought me to the fitting room and measured me. the then brought back two different styles to try on. They both fit great! I bought one and plan to go back and purchase the second one soon. read more

Looking for nursing bras I was thrilled with the fit and knowledge of the staff at Allure. I was able to get beautiful bras altered to be nursing bras. The staff is respectful and kind while fitting and doesn't seem rushed but happy to find things that work for you. This is the first time that I've ever felt like I had a perfect fit as well as beautiful bras. I hope to have a fitting party sometime with my Mom and some friends. read more

I had a very nice experience shopping at their Galleria location recently. Since having children & breast feeding, this was an over due shopping trip. I appreciated a quality fitting & trying on bras that were comfortable to the changes my body had made as well as allowing me to feel pretty. Allure is the best place you will go to have a bra fitting. Staff are really helpful and welcoming. I have always been way too embarassed to shed my shirt for a bra fitting, but they are so professional, it is no big deal there. They are great if you wear a larger size and have trouble finding the right size other places. They save your information so they can help you find the best bras when you come back too. read more

I was very happy with my experience - I have a really hard time finding bras in my size, and the sales associate was incredibly helpful. I was able to try on about 10 different types of bras, she went over all the features of the different bras, and I left with two that I am very happy about. They are even very pretty! Whole process took maybe twenty minutes. I will be shopping here from now on. read more

Allure carries lots of sizes other stores don't (like mine!) and their staff are very helpful and understanding. The atmosphere is peaceful and lovely and I absolutely loved that there were coloring books for the kids. Definitely my go-to place now. The only drawback is that returns will ONLY get you store credit and you MUST have a receipt - so be dang certain you love it before you buy. read more

Such a great experience! I had looked for larger sized undergarments elsewhere to no avail. Your staff was so gracious and helpful, the store is gorgeous and you had the garments in my size in the store. No special ordering. No delayed gratification.
