I have found stuff for my 13 year old daughter and my mother who is over 60 shops there. If you want jeans that are comfortable, trendy, and don't make you feel fat, check out their Mac and Me Jeans! They are amazing! Some people have reviewed this store as a negative because they play Christian music. That actually makes me want to shop there even more. It is relaxing and not loud in your face music that some other stores play. There is free parking right outside the front door. Also, I don't know what the scent is in the store (it's a secret), but it smells so good. Not all the Mainstream locations have this scent. I wish I could keep the clothes I buy from there smelling like that all the time! I have never had a bad experience with the staff, they have always been friendly and I have been there on multiple occasions. Lastly, the quality is what you pay for. I have bought shirts from another store (not to be named), and the graphics on their t-shirts have come off very quickly when being laundered. Not the shirts at Mainstream! They are very high quality.

Even more impressive was that these men looked excited when they talked about the denim, fabric, colors, textures, and cuts of different apparel! If you wanted, you could go into Madewell, try on a bunch of clothes, and have 2-3 employees critique your outfits. And they don't seem to mind if you walk out of the store without a purchase. Workers at Madewell (S. Mpls & MOA) look like they love their work, the fashion industry, their company, and helping people look good. That's how I can tell that this store has top-notch employees and managers. Well done, Madewell.

I had only worn the jacket about 3 times because I had just moved from Southern California. When I originally purchased the jacket two weeks prior it was 20% off, the jacket was now 40% off. When I asked if I could completely return the jacket and re buy it so I could get the extra discount I was told no. Not only was I told no but the reasoning was because I may have destroyed the jacket on PURPOSE to get a discount. Come to find out, this woman is one of the store managers. Her name is Madeline, according to my receipt. I am baffled that this is how customers are treated, as the store where I typically shop in California is full of a bunch of wonderful employees. Out of curiosity, I drove over to the Edina store to see if this was typical protocol for Madewell stores in this area. I had a very pleasant experience there and will continue to do all my Madewell shopping at the Edina location. I had a really nice woman by the name of Ariana help me out. She was extremely helpful and very sweet! The Bloomington store could have had another loyal customer had they not accused me of purposely destroying a product. If you want people to spend money at your store it's best to treat them with respect!

Rachel overheard and jumped in to help, offered to call a different location and then ultimately found the color I wanted in their system that was in fact available and ordered them to get shipped to my house. Being pregnant, I absolutely loved the oversized baggy loungewear. I ended up purchasing two oversized tops, an athletic dress and a beautiful overall jean dress along with some cute blue buggy baby earrings to wear at my baby shower. While known for all the handbags, don't sleep on the earrings and boutique clothing. The clothing isn't for everyone, but if you like baggy - they have what you need. Every product is color coded and the plethora of earrings could take months to observe thoroughly. While there are tons of handbags, I actually think there are far more earrings and jewelry pieces. There's a single dressing room at the back of the store. They advertise for 3 items only, although, I think they should update this policy. I followed it by hanging everything directly outside the dressing room, yet it felt pointless to reach my arm out when I was done with 3 items just to swap out for new items. I loved all the bag options. My favorite one was a pink teacup. There were bags resembling books, a Rubik's cube and so much more. Luckily today when I stopped in, everything was 20% off. I talked to the sales clerk and she mentioned that if you follow them on Facebook, they will often do last chance sale items. If you want something unique and funky, shop here!
