Specialties
Hermine is a curated vintage boutique in downtown Minneapolis focused on timeless, wearable pieces from the 1980s, 1990s, and early 2000s. We prioritize natural materials—linen, cotton, silk, and wool—and thoughtful construction, selecting garments that feel as good to wear as they look.
Our approach to vintage is intentional and restrained. Rather than volume, we focus on pieces that integrate easily into a modern wardrobe—elevated everyday clothing with a sense of ease.
The shop is designed to feel calm and approachable, with an emphasis on quality, longevity, and personal style. We also host occasional community events, including coffee mornings and mending workshops.
History
Established in 2024.
Hermine was founded in Minneapolis with the idea that vintage clothing should feel as natural and wearable as anything new. Rather than focusing on trend or nostalgia, the shop was built around pieces that hold up over time—both in quality and in how they live in a wardrobe.
From the beginning, the emphasis has been on thoughtful sourcing, natural materials, and a more considered approach to buying and wearing clothing. Each piece is selected for its construction, fabric, and ease, with the goal of offering vintage that feels relevant without needing to be reinterpreted.
As the shop has grown, it has remained intentionally small and personal—shaped by a belief in slower retail, lasting design, and the value of clothing that gets better with time.
Meet the Business Owner: Lilly B.
I started Hermine with my husband, Willy, from a shared interest in finding clothing that feels easy to live in. Over time, I found myself consistently drawn to well-made pieces—natural fabrics, thoughtful construction, and styles that don’t feel tied to a specific moment.
That way of looking at clothing naturally grew into the shop. I focus on pieces that can be worn often and kept for a long time, rather than something fleeting.
My hope is that Hermine feels like a welcoming, unhurried space—somewhere you can take your time and find something that feels right.
