I'm torn! So the drive thru took 40 minutes to get our food, right? We were asked to pull around to…read morethe front, as were a bunch of others behind us. Then there were some that got their orders immediately. I have to assume they only ordered drinks/shakes. As we were sitting in the front parking lot waiting, I noticed there was only one cook in the backend (the manager) and two frontend guys. Which explains why the kitchen got so backed up. There were also people in the dining area waiting for food as well. Our food finally came out and it was hot from the kitchen. My patty melt didn't have cheese or bacon on it though, it was plain (I didn't order it plain though). Our fries were over cooked but that's how my husband tends to prefer his anyway. I know they were trying to make the best of the situation and it sucks they didn't have much help on their shift tonight. Hopefully it's not always like this, perhaps some callouts. Or maybe it's always like this as we have found at most restaurants these days. Seems like there's nobody wanting to work. Either way, I'll give them an extra star because of their effort since the frontend guys DID communicate that they had not forgotten about us and it was going to be coming out, eventually. Unfortunately, I have to recommend to keep driving past this location if your stomach can help it, it was a bit of wasted time/money since we were trying to beat the impeding storm (which we got caught in, it was a doozy!).

Magnificent views of the stars! While we were there, on the recommendation of a good friend, we went over to Chillicothe to try Love's BBQ and Steak house. Those with us tried the daily special Chicken Fry and the Texas Tornado Potato Nachos. I had some of the nachos, covered with brisket and can certainly confirm that Love's can smoke!! True to my nature, I had the "build your own Burger." Added pepper jack cheese, jalapeños, and cut the tomato. The burger patty was a generous amount of meat. Nice sear on the patty and well seasoned! The bun was butter grilled and very tasty!! I has Jalapeño Rings for my side and they were amazing! We give Love's If you're ever in this part of Texas Love's certainly worth the trip! The wait staff was the best ever, friendly as can be!
