Do not get Allstate insurance! I paid my homeowners premiums for decades and never filed one claim. Hail storm rolled through and did some damage. The adjuster, with a straight face, told me I had hail damage on my sheds roof, my AC housing, wooden fence and the metal components on my roof BUT, no damage to the shingles that is just blistering! I got flood insurance through Allstate. Apparently my mortgage company did not make payments on this even though they said they would. I got a letter saying that my policy expired two weeks ago. The so called phone expert you get when you call the 1-800 number needs some serious customer service training. First she insinuated the policy lapsed over a year ago despite what the letter I received yesterday stated. Then she claimed the letter was just a solicitation. Then she refused to take payment or reinstate policy even though I am only two weeks delinquent and the letter said I had a 30 day grace period. She didn't listen, didn't offer solutions and was generally rude. However , the other customer service agents have been great. When I was able to get a hold of my agent, I was able to reinstate my policy with great service. I will try not to call Allstate after hours as the level of service is not consistent. read more

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Signed up for homeowner's insurance 10 days ago and the policy is still in a "pending" state. Under my account on the website, it has said, "your policy is being processed. Please keep in mind that it can take up to 48 hours for your policy to appear online," for 10 days now! I'm supposed to close on the house in 4 days (2 business days), but I can't get a mortgage finalized until Allstate activates the policy, so Allstate is jeopardizing my home purchase. I've called customer service at least a dozen times, and nobody ever seems to know what's going on or what to do. I've been told "it should be done by tomorrow" multiple times over the course of 10 days. Today, I called Allstate 5 times and got hung up on every time after the robot put me on hold. If the policy isn't active by tomorrow morning, my mortgage broker is going to have to scramble, try to get an insurance agent he knows to approve and activate an insurance policy, and then try to get my mortgage finalized in a single day. My son had an accident and Allstate is the other driver carrier. It has been determined that the other driver was/is at fault. Allstate has agreed to pay off the vehicle as of July 2019. Today is 10/8/2019, Allstate has not paid the bank. They've stated, "They are sending out the Power of Attorney". We have not received these documents and upon calling the 1-800 number to confirm the mail out date; they always cite the address incorrectly. I told the rep today, "Google It", I'm listed. Place the street number and 3 letter of the street name, it pops up. So why are you unable to get this address correct. Moreover, it's listed on the accident report. Please tell me what's the problem? Today, I contact Whitney Davis at 1-800-729-0130. She suppose to be the Director over Claim in my area. All I know is this experience has been unacceptable. Allstate refuse to extend the rental car and now apparently, they are refusing to pay off the car. Allowing us to obtain a new vehicle. I am very disappointed in Allstate. One of their customers backed into my vehicle, and I had to go through so much for them to do what they were supposed to do and to get my car in and not have to pay for a rental because they want me to pay my deductible and I get paid back I don't think so. I didn't do any damage to somebody's car. The damage was done to my car. And then they tell me to take it to one of their places because they're the best and then 100% warranty on all parts. Horrible, I purchased Allstate short term disability through my workplace for safety precautions , think they would pay what my salary was while out of work. First off the paperwork is very daunting and time consuming. They send you through the hoops by summiting through multiple companies , by this time you are already deeply in debt and on the verge of bankruptcy. Then upon all paperwork being received, there is five to ten day waiting period upon approval. Then they disclose how much money you will receive which is only 40% percent of your monthly salary. Anyhow 45 days have gone by with still no answers. Don't waste your money on this plan . just put it in savings for a rainy day Occurrence like this. read more

All state is the worst company ever. Very shady practices. Had very large hail damage my roof. I have pictures of the hail. Inspector said yes, hail damage and claim would not be a problem. Well Allstate must of not liked that answer and denied it. We have water leaking in the house. They sent people from Texas up to Illinois and came out very angry, and ready to deny the claim. Did not look at the whole roof, did not go into the attic to see the damage. Was told hail doesn't damage roofs, but then wanted to give like 1,000 dollar to fix the ceiling from the water damage, but not acknowledging it is coming in from the roof, and it will happen again. The local agent Mr. C.F. and his Sr. Sales Associate in Mount Laurel, New Jersey have been reported to Allstate Corporation for poor and unprofessional customer service. There was a local hail storm recently that damaged our roof and needs replacement. All the other homes in our neighborhood either have had their roof replaced or in works to have it replaced. Every house except ours. We filed the claim a few days after the storm and have been going back and forth with Allstate for 3 months trying to get approval for a roof replacement. The roofer has come out 3 separate times to provide necessary photos for claim approval. This roofer has completed other homes in the area and has had no issues with the other homes. The only issue here is Allstates stubbornness and unwillingness to work with us to have our damages repaired from a hail storm even though they have been provided photographs supporting replacement under their own claim standards. The adjusters have been extremely rude and have made it clear that they do not care about us or our claim. We are not in good hands. read more

I have had Allstate insurance for many years and never made a claim. In April, my roof was damaged in a hail storm. I submitted a claim, and it was immediately denied by Faith Stevens, whom they assigned to the claim. This person speaks very poor English, and is very difficult to understand. She refused to answer questions and was argumentative about everything. She really admitted I had hail damage to gutters, down spouts, and window screens, but insisted there was no damage to my shingles. I don't know how that's possible. I was finally able to speak with her supervisor and requested someone else review this case. He refused and she continued to deny my claim. I also attempted to speak with my local agent(Pisani &Associates) but they would not even return a call after leaving them a message. The customer advocate department was no help and the claim was indeed denied because the shingles were old. They weren't old when I started paying on this policy 15 years ago. My roof is 60% damaged and my Allstate policy says that if they can find a matching shingle that they will only replace those shingles with the same shingle. It is called "wear and tear" and they do not cover that. My roof is over 16 years old so all of my shingles have completely faded so they want 60% of my roof to be black and the rest to be grey. I would recommend you not getting your homeowner policy with Allstate. In addition, they tried every single tactic possible to deny the claim. This has been going on for over 6 months and only because I would not give up on every single road block they tried to do to me. And again this is the continued bullying that I am receiving from Allstate. They write on the comment to contact them and I did immediately and they responded with the following: "Thank you for your information. We've escalated your concern. I was driving in a shopping center parking lot when I was hit from the side passenger side. When I called allstate I was told their driver (the allstate customer) claimed I hit him. Allstate Roadside assistance was a terrible experience. We locked our keys in our Travel Trailer...called Allstate and they said they would send someone out within a few hours. No one came or called so we had to spend the night in a motel. Someone called the next morning and said they would be there in 2 hours. We waited 3 hours and called them back and they hadn't even left. They then said they would be there in 2 hours which they were. When they arrived they said we had to pay them $500 to open the door. It took them 5 minutes to open the door. We paid it and then submitted the invoice to Allstate a month ago and we still haven't seen our check. Terrible experience. On June 20th, 2021, an EF-3 tornado touched down in Naperville and tore through to my location in Woodridge, IL. The wind reached 140mph and damaged 400 homes in my neighborhood. We were all devastated and looking to our neighbors for assistance. It was a difficult time for our neighborhood and families. We all immediately called our insurance companies who are supposed to help and assist in times like these. Like the Allstate advertising says: "You're in Good Hands with Allstate". That was June 20th. Today is October 25th. I'm not in good hands it seems. In fact, many of us have slipped through those fingers in those "Good Hands". The reason I show the time difference is because I use the "Good Hands" company: Allstate. Allstate has not recognized the tornado and the damage which is caused as a problem. They have scheduled inspection after inspection with the contractors that I have hired to assist with getting this claim completed. Allstate has, on multiple occasions, not shown up for the inspections that they have scheduled themselves. They have not called me back, been evasive and generally unresponsive or just plain disinterested. Most of my neighbors have had the same experience with Allstate as I have. They are treating us like we are trying to get something for free. We are not. We are looking to have our homes fixed because we have insurance and supposed to be in "Good Hands", right? So, here I am on October 25th, 4 months later waiting for a new roof. And, what happens when we get a big rain? Since the roof is not fixed as it should be months later from a Tornado, I am now getting major leaking into our house. There is leaking into my front roof where it is causing damage to my home, furniture and living areas. Allstate could have helped with the roof. I have always paid on time and been a loyal customer. When I needed them to help and use my insurance for what it's intended for, I have been shuffled from one department to another. From one Person to another. From one computer voice to another in the Allstate computerized phone system that is designed to frustrate you so much that you hang up and forget about the claim. But I'm not forgetting about the claim. I'm going to hire an attorney and organize my neighbors who were involved. I've already contacted many of them and they are ready and willing to join me after I've said enough is enough of a big company not living up to their promises. You can't just take our money and ignore your promises. Thankfully, have resources both legal and non-legal to make sure we aren't taken for granted. I am also going to be contacting as many media outlets as possible showing how many people were affected by Allstates damaging decisions they have made after a devastating event. We won't be bullied or mistreated by a company that obviously doesn't care about their customers. We are not just numbers on your spreadsheet; We are people who need assistance and are hurting. We need you to live up to your advertising. We won't go away. We won't be bullied into forgetting about this. We will make noise until you do what is right. I needed a copy of my recent flood declaration, never got one. I chatted with Allstate and got nowhere with a rude agent. She gave me a flood dept number to call. And told me where I can register and open a new act to access my docs. I went thru they're process to register with allstate and when I was sent an email to finish the registration, the continue button DID NOTHING!!! MORE WASTED TIME ON A MALFUNCTIONING BUTTON. so... I called the Allstate flood dept. 'Antonio' was useless and had me on hold for 5 minutes while he tried to transfer me to a licensed Agent! I was On the phone for 16 wasted minutes total! The Allstate licensed agent got on the phone and found my policy BUT CAN'T LOOK AT IT, SEND IT OR ANYTHING!!! BOTH THE AGENTS ON THE PHONE WERE WORKING FROM HOME! AND USELESS. After 23 years of paying my bills on time and in full, Allstate tried to deny my hail claim. I was forced to hire an Independent Appraiser to verify that there was extensive damage to my roof after Allstate repeatedly tried to dismiss my claim. I had to spend $1100 to get them to "settle" my claim, although they still refused to repair all of the damages. Allstate will not repay me the $1100 even though I certainly consider it a loss-related expense. After all of that, we decided to end our relationship with Allstate. We changed insurance providers to Texas Farm Bureau effective 5/11/23. We switched our home and auto policies at the same time. We communicated this with Allstate at the time. Allstate sent me a refund for the unused portion of my home insurance as we switched during the coverage period. Today, in the mail, I received a collections letter. Allstate has now damaged my credit score for what seems like spite. I don't know how it can be done, but I want the collection notification against my credit removed immediately. I have worked hard for years to maintain a +800 credit score. I pay my debts on time and in full. I would also like Allstate to repay my $1100 related expense. This is the most UNETHICAL and CROOKED company ever!! I have been their customer for home and auto for a few years and never had to use them for a claim. Well a few weeks ago I was on the expressway and someone's tire flew off...hitting my car...besides visible damage to my bumper and grill- most of my electronics that are in the center dash were messed up immediately! Heat and AC going on and off on their own, backup camera pitch black, radio not functioning correctly etc. Long story short, the claims department is awful. I'm pretty sure they are trained to get out of covering damages on claims. The claims staff were rude and not helpful. They wouldn't follow up on things. . They wanted to fix only the damage to the grill and bumper even though I took videos IMMEDIATELY after the accident of the issues I was having with my electronics (they were date and time stamped and I sent them to Allstate). I'm out of about $600-700 that they refused to cover. What is the point of having insurance that is not going to cover the extent of your damages when they occur?!?! All I wanted them to do is to make me whole again! Just awful. I will be reporting them to the BBB and making sure the words gets out about how terrible this company is. I had insurance with AllState when my phone broke. The battery died and it was not due to a drop or accident. I thought that I was lucky to have purchased insurance for my phone but I was wrong. First of all, their website was glitched which made it impossible to create an account to file my claim online. Finally I called and they told me I had to try my manufacturer first, even though the manufacturer's warranty only lasted 1 year and I sent them proof that I had purchased the phone over two years ago. Hours later they said they would take a look at my phone and all I had to do was pay the deductible of $130. My phone is old and I could almost just buy a brand new phone for that. I considered paying the deductible but eventually decided not to give this company another dime. They wasted hours of my time with their buggy website, emails, and phone calls. They kept trying to divert me to other companies and other departments, probably to waste my time and make me give up. If I could rate this company less than zero I would. This is a fraudulent, unethical company. December 11th 2018 I called Allstate's 800 get a quote number and spoke to a agent named Logan. After Logan gave me such a great rate on my home insurance saving about $500 a year on my Home and car insurance rates.The policies on my cars was about $70 less with Allstate. Allstate Agent entered a lot of fictitious information in the computer and gave me a lowball rate to get me to change my policies to Allstate. I gave Logan all the information about my home. I told him it is about 2200 sq ft tri-level with 5 steps from the lower- garage level and 7 Steps from the kitchen, living room area to the bedrooms: the lower two levels are brick veneer with stone in the front, upper level is frame. I told him the basement was a daylight basement with a wall of windows 4 ft from the floor on one side. He insisted it was 1400 square feet, two-level home, a split-level according to the public records. I described everything about my property; the size of the property, the fencing, porch, everything. He gave me so many discounts that allowed me to have such a great rate including automatic pay for my checking account which was an additional $72 discount. Logan explained If I paid with the credit card or a check that discount would be removed. So I gave him my checking account number with instructions not to take the money out until December 28th since my policy was not due until the 29th. Lo and behold he took over $2,200 out of my checking account on the 12th of December. He also asked me to fax the Defensive Driving certificate to him. I did and requested him to call me when he received it. I never received that call from Logan. I started receiving messages from Joseph Rehonic Allstate company Hoschton GA 30548 (Winder) threatening to remove the discount if I didn't send in the certificate. That was the first time I realized that I was put with a company 66 miles away from my home in College Park Georgia. I called Logan about it. HE never returned my call. I finally got the secretary who said that the certificate was in the file. After that it was just one message after another threatening to remove a discount for some reason or trying to get me to sign up for something else. I finally wrote headquarters with a complaint and requested to move my policies to an Allstate 4 miles from my home. Feb 25, 2019, I received the letter from Allstate headquarters stating after the home inspection, I owe an additional $730.34 on my homeowner's policy from December 29th 2018 to December 29th 2019. They also increase the square footage to my home to over 2,500 square feet by adding the garage as part of the living space and overestimated the replacement value of my home to almost a half a million dollars from the original correct $304,000 replacement value. Logan put all the wrong information in the system intentionally to get my business from my original insurance companies. Logan wrote that my home was a one-story 1400 sq ft concrete block home on a slab with no crawl space. Plus, a lot of other fictitious information. The home inspection came back with almost the exact information that I had given Logan. Had Logan put that correct information in the system, my quote may have been $1,651.86 for homeowners insurance and I would not have changed to Allstate. I tried to call Allstate at the number that's on this statement, 1 800Allstate to have them pull up the conversation tape that I had with Logan and to find out all the things he had put in that original quote to get my business. I also wanted to cancel my policy with them. The 1-800Allstate phone number is not a number you could talk to anyone. It's a recording trying to sell HEALTH ALERT SYSTEMS and other things including roadside assistance.Then it disconnects when you do not want those services . No one comes to the phone to talk. I could not cancel my Allstate policies last night. Be aware of Allstate Insurance.. Now I have to try to get my money back. I purchased insurance with Geico for auto and home. Now I have two insurance companies until I can get my Allstate insurance policy cancelled. read more

AllState has failed miserably on the first claim I have ever had to do with them. I had some wind damage to my home on 3/2/23 and so I submitted a claim on 3/3/23. After several setbacks, delays, etc. all on AllState's side(several supervisors and works at AllState even admitted as such); I finally received an estimate over a month later(on 4/11/23). This did not cover a full roof replacement and the owner of the contractor wanted to speak with the insurance due to them saying that a new roof is definitely justified and should be covered. AllState said that they would talk with them on it and the agent would still be over the claim. The owner and myself have been unable to get ahold of the agent or any supervisor on this, we only get voicemails and no call backs. They are obviously avoiding us and not doing their jobs... I would highly suggest saying away from AllState. I'm fuming right now. I just got off the phone with Allstate Insurance regarding a fender bender my little white car suffered when my daughter dropped my son off at the airport back in November. Holiday traffic, super congestion and a car pulled out of the space in front of my car, next to the curb, my daughter took her foot off the gas and the car started to slowly roll forward when another driver sped up to grab the space and sideswiped the front of my car. Allstate determined she was 20% responsible for the accident. Huh??? Because she could have honked or something to warn him before he hit her. After going over the facts, as did my insurance company, I determined she was not able to do anything except watch as he hit my car. Allstate has a 'pocket adjustment' system where they make a determination of fault based on photos and statements. If the adjuster is incorrect, too bad. They don't really have a good process to go back to the adjuster. I'm refusing to accept their offer and this little case is going to arbitration where they will wind up paying far more than the amount I'm disputing in their 20% responsibility. I spent my entire day trying to bundle my policy with Yulonda Evans and Liz Drennan. They gave me a quote, price, I agreed and then they took the money out of my bank account. Then I saw a different number coming from my bank so I called back. I was then told that they couldn't insure the income property because it needed a 2014 umbrella policy. Funny out of 4 agents no one knew this. It was implemented 6 months ago. Even the person with the name on the office didn't know. Then Liz had the nerve to get rude with me because I asked for the corporate telephone number. Don't waist your time or money. read more

NEVER use Allstate. The only reason they get a one star because we can not get any lower. I went online and got a new policy on Saturday. On Sunday I went a bought a new car and tried to add it to the policy Allstate created a new policy for the new car instead of adding it to the one I started on Saturday. I paid the down payments for both policies. When the person they call an agent JEFF BECK in ELK GROVE, CA, that they assigned me called and spoke to my wife on Thursday he was very rude and accused us of purposely creating 2 policies then stated we had to pay a third down payment for a new policy that would combine the cars. I spoke with the bad agent and he then accused me of the same thing. I stated I did not chose to do this that Allstate did it and I did not choose him as my agent. He then got nasty with me and said that he would hang up so I can talk to the call center. read more
