If I could leave less than one star for this company, I would. Allstate is by far the worst company I've ever worked with. I was in an auto accident, which the other party was found to be 100% at fault for, so I had to work with his insurance--Allstate--to get my car fixed. Allstate was super cryptic throughout the whole process, leaving me to ask them lots of questions (via email) which the agent then replied snarkily that "it wasn't that confusing." Um, sorry, I don't get in a lot of traffic accidents BRO. Also, the entire month it took of going back and forth to finally get my car fixed, the agent promised me many, many times that they would pay for all the repairs and not to worry and to just leave it between them and the shop. Well, I get the car fixed and am supposed to pick it up when the shop calls to tell me that Allstate won't pay. Long story short, I ended up having to pay $680 out of pocket, for an accident that I was in no way responsible for, and Allstate's response was along the lines of "sucks to suck." I have filed a claim with my state's department of insurance because it is FRAUDULENT to say you will pay for someone's car, have them get the work done, and then renege on that promise. read more

I signed up for the Allstate Roadside Assistance through AAR{ and it has been an absolute nightmare. Immediately after signing up and trying to establish a password, I saw that things were not going to go well. Trying to deal with customer service was extremely time consuming and difficult and i just wanted to cancel figuring that I didn't want to be stuck on the road and having these difficulties. When I finally got to someone that said they would cancel my account. he simple didn't. When I asked about the refund. he just hung up. Turns out they didn't cancel my account and certainly didn't issue a refund. They are now lying to my credit card company. Avoid at all costs because any interaction with them after they have your credit card info will be costly and time consuming with no services rendered. read more

My daughter bought a 2021 Dodge Durango, RT in September 2022. She got into an auto accident November 30, 2022. The car was hit from behind and pushed into another car in front of her. The car was towed into a body shop called millennium 3000 in Elizabeth New Jersey. we had it towed to them, because in the past we used them for minor body work so we thought they were reputable. They had the truck for 3 1/2 months. we kept calling the body shop and went numerous times. They kept giving us the run around. We called AllState, Allstate says it usually takes that long. finally after 4 months we go to pickup the truck. We noticed defects on the truck on the front & rear bumper they were not flush and none of the emblems were on the truck. The owner of the body shop told us to bring it back in a week & he will straighten everything out. The next day She went to Long Island and broke down. The truck leaked out all the transmission fluid so she had to have the truck towed to a mechanic shop who fixed it for $500. When she got it home we kept calling and texting the body shop the body shop ghosted us and never responded to any of our texts. Again we called Allstate for help they did absolutely nothing. You think they would try to reach out to the body shop. The AllState representative who was very nasty with no compassion told us that it is not their problem. It is your problem. You brought it to that body shop Bring it back. We told the representative they will not respond. We told them how are we supposed to know That this would happen that's why we thought we have insurance we be covered. Then my daughter noticed the Airconditioner didn't work. She ended up bringing it to the dodger dealer where she bought it. They took the front bumper off and called us in to show us the results. Nothing under the the hood was repaired the air conditioning coils were bent & broken from the accident and never replaced. The transmission line was bent and never replaced the bumper was the same bumper they just puddied it up & bonded it back on to the truck. There were no brackets holding it on. The dodge dealer called the body shop the owner answered & said he would take care or it. We never heard from him again. We called AllState, Allstate said to bring it back to the body shop. The Dodge dealer said the truck can't be driven & the body shop can't be reached. My lawyer said that Allstate should have given us the check for the repairs 1st. If we had the check we would've never accepted the truck or given the body shop the check until it was complete. but since they didn't Allstate should pay for the repairs & go after the body shop. Allstate said they will only pay for the front bumper brackets. The dodge dealer told Allstate It is the original bumper there is nothing to put the brackets to that's why the body shop bonded it on. My daughter has been making truck payments & insurance payments and has nothing. How can she pay for the repairs she is out thousands not to mention over $5000 in car rentals. Allstate said they will not pay for anything so now she is stuck with the 2022 Dodge Durango that can't be driven. Months before we got the truck back we called our Allstate insurance adjuster numerous times to see if we could bring the truck to another body shop. We never got a returned call. Now it's not their problem. If they would have returned our call we would have had it towed to another location. After 3 months of calling they tell us that's normal wait time. That's was B.S. You would think Allstate would try & reach out to the body shop. Nothing!! We went with Allstate because we thought we be in good hands. We were wrong! We are very disappointed with Allstate. Why do we pay for insurance. So any body shop can do this & get paid by the insurance & the consumer is left holding the bag. I have insured my classic car with Allstate for decades, and I'm appalled at their poor customer service. The car's windshield was broken while it was in storage, and I had some questions about the coverage. I called the customer service number (888-393-1497) at corporate HQ in Chicago and spoke with Marianna. She couldn't answer my questions, so she referred me to a claims examiner named Chris who cut me off. I was frustrated with corporate customer service, so I called my local agent here in St. Louis, Kathy Bialock. The person who answered couldn't answer my questions, so he suggested that I call the "glass network" (800-636-4527). I called the number, and the person with whom I talked was clueless and told me to call my insurance agent (the one who referred me to the "glass network" in the first place). Out of desperation, I decided to go ahead and actually file a claim via the Allstate web site. After I input all the information they requested, the screen told me that I could not complete the claim online, and that someone would call me. About a half hour later, I got a call from a Safelite representative named Ashley, who put me on hold so she could call the shop and verify my appointment. While I was on hold for several minutes, the Safelite phone system automatically transferred me to another representative who knew nothing about my claim. To her credit, Ruby took my information (for the FIFTH time today) and promised to call me back in a few minutes. She did, but now the shop manager wants to speak to me about the availability of the part for my classic car, and he's currently in a meeting! This is the first claim I have filed on my Allstate car insurance for decades, and I'm very disappointed in their performance. I will probably not renew my policy when it comes up. You are NOT in good hands with Allstate. I have been working for several weeks to have my claim reviewed and finalized. Each step of the way, I have had to call Allstate to push the process along. Negligent employees have not gotten my claim taken care of in any reasonable amount of time. There is an issue with the system that Allstate has not resolved. It has been multiple weeks without having my claim finalized so that I can get my situation taken care of. I have had to call, on record, 10 times now - and still have not had the case completed. I don't feel that proper and fair process was followed - the adjusters for both sides worked for All-state in my case - and there's 0 evidence that each party had a proper and fair fight on the other's behalf. After several years of steadily increasing premiums despite zero claims, I finally got quotes from other comparable agencies. I'm sorry I waited so long. I just cut my auto insurance premium in half for the same coverage. Allstate also makes their customers confirm in writing that they really want to cancel. My homeowners renewal is coming up in a couple of months and I've already written my cancellation letter because I'm sure they'll be no more competitive with this quote than they were with the auto policy. I went to cancel her homeowners policy since she no longer owns the home and it was sold. I could not even do this with the death certificate, or the affidavit showing the transfer. All they could do was put the policy on non-renewal and expected the payments to continue to be made until September 2023 !!! every other company let you cancel things with a death certificate seems kind of shady to me. I reported my new address to my agent on 12/19 and was told by them that my premium would be lower with that new address. My address should have been changed on 12/19 - it needs to be changed and I need to be refunded for the difference I've had to pay on my premiums for these 7 months since I've moved. Allstate says that only the agent can fix this - he won't even correct an address and Allstate says no one is over the agents. That makes no sense. I want a new agent but apparently I have no way to request that except through the agent I want to change, who can't even change an address. This is not a legit company, it should be illegal what they do. They outsource their customer service to an outside country. Every time you make a phone call to them, the rules change in terms of verification, one person asks for just the name and policy, another asks for everything and more. To obtain your own personal information from them when switching companies, probably would be allot easier through the FBI, than through these "good hands". My new insurance asked me to get a declaration copy from "good hands" stating that I previously "had" a policy. "Good hands" sent me an encrypted file that I could not open with or without an account, with them on the phone. Went to their office during business hours, no one is there. Called them again, this time the guy said, "since you're not with us anymore, we cannot give you this document", because somehow, it will be equivalent to a proof of active insurance. Been with them for 5 years, no accidents or violations, insurance premium was going up consistently, even when I drove 3000 miles in a year I still paid for all 12000 because they refused to change it. I was also forced to buy life and renters insurance because they told me it was their policy and that I cannot have auto insurance without renters and life insurance. Their departments do not follow the same company rules and the entire company does not collaborate with other companies for ease of information transfer when switching companies, which means there is utter neglect towards customer satisfaction. Good Hands? They look like Empty Hands to me. Missed one payment, received a letter with large bold text threatening me that my registration with be suspended and my license will be suspended, which is pretty much a life altering occurrence in my case. I get all that, but what if I was in a hospital or in a coma, shouldn't the first letter be a well fair check instead of, "we will ruin your life if don't get 300 bucks from you ASAP". Good Hands? Even though we had a 2+ decade relationship with an allstate insurance salesguy (pompous little shrew) here in town over the past few years the relationship began deteriorating around the time this company put more money into their stupid adverts on national television than they did into maintaining and appreciating long term customer relationships. While there were actually three separate recent incidents that were telling of the demise of our relationship the last one is the one that broke the camel's china plate set. On one of the main arteries of the city a person exited the highway literally right into my car on the feeder. Pretty cut and dry, no? Filed the incident and all that same day to record it. The investigating person at corporate never contacted me on his own initiative again even though I left six voicemails for him over the course of two weeks of radio silence. I called on a holiday and ended up going through the corporate phone tree over the course of an hour, talking to someone in another call center in Pakistan entirely, and in the system I had been assessed 100% fault even though I had been in my lane and someone had cut across four lanes of feeder directly into my car. And there had been no follow up, like none to even take my recorded statement or anything. Fortunately nobody was hurt besides the Dragon's beautiful face, but the damage was mostly cosmetic. I left another voicemail for the joker I had been given as a contact information and since it was holiday I got his boss's contact information off his voicemail message, then left his American stationed boss a long threatening voicemail about who the FUCK I am and what kind of a shit tier insurance carnival he was running. I had a call back from his underling clown in less than ten minutes after that. Being a lawyer has some perks I suppose. If I was a butcher, blogger, humble alpaca salesman, or porn star would I have ever received a call back? I only found out applying for new insurance with Farmers later on they had never reversed anything (no correspondence after that angry phone call of course) and while I saved hundreds in the policy term from switching to Farmers at the same limits, I am still now paying about $10 more with Farmers than I should be for an allstate tier driver smashing into the Dragon willy-nilly that is on my record as my fault. If anyone had died in the accident I bet allstate would be the shit tier kind of insurance company that hires the fucking well known town drunk as their insurance defense law firm - who doesn't brief the case which is a major fuck up - then refuses to settle as another major fuck up - then fucks up the voir dire - then sleeps through part of the trial which is a minor fuck up in light of all of the other fuck ups - then loses the trial as also another minor fuck up in the series of larger fuck ups - then fucks up the appeal to the 1st or 14th court of appeals which is frankly just expected in a longer string of fuck ups that begin with you (or the decedent) having had allstate as your insurance company in the first place. WORST customer service and communication in the insurance world. Allstate made it impossible for me to get a rental after their customer hit my car, was 100% at fault and ticketed. Allstate refused to provide a reservation # to enterprise rental therefore enterprise couldn't bill me at the Allstate rate...Allstate makes the customer pay out of pocket for rental and then reimburses the customer only 19.95 a day but REFUSES to work with the rental company to get the Allstate rental rates. Thus, leaving the customers to pay full price and only being reimbursed a fraction of what they paid...even after their customer was the one at fault. Further, the claims adjuster doesn't answer phone, voicemail is incomprehensible AND is full, so messages can't be left. This company is absolutely ridiculous...pray you NEVER have a Collison with any ALLSTATE customer. read more

well, to start with , I thought it would be good insurance since I was buying it thru Costco, to place a warrenty on my HP laptop, I spent over 500 dollars so that made me qualify for the insurance allstate offered, it was two years spills, on the computer, breaks, from dropping and any defects. It seemed all well, until I had a claim, It was quickly assessed and qualified for repair, I asked for a lable that could be sent to my address ( I didn't have a printer to create the label myself)and they sent one out promptly, I waited the amount of time they said it would take(ten days, because of covid and slower postal .. I even waited an additional twelve more days, it never came. I contacted them and they propmtly sent another one out to me , a month went by, It never came , so then I started asking to please give me a tracking system , which they said was not possible. Since it had been my fifth attempt at getting the label to send for repair, I asked to speak to a supervisor since I thought they would surely want to know how this could happen .I got absolutely no satisfaction upon reporting this to their superiors, still waiting another ten days!!!I hope this review helps others . read more

My bill has always been paid on time and I have never let my policy lapse but when I call the automated line to pay my current bill over the phone each month I get a recorded message saying a cancellation has been recently sent out for non-payment, even though I am making the payment well before is is due. I fortunately have not had to file any big claims. I liked the staff locally but I am not happy with their windsheild replacement policy. I no longer deal with an Allstate representative, but instead directly with safelite. Safelite handles the claim and trys to keep you in house. They tried to discourage me from using a dealership, that carried the correct windshield and sensors. From the very beginning safelite said I would have to pay for the windshield and then be reimbursed. They would not answer my question as to whether I would get a full reimbursement. They gave me their estimate of what they would pay and told me to get in touch with dealership to see if the dealership would accept their offer of payment. I also had to get them an estimate from the dealership. I was going back and forth with dealership and the Safelite. finally after I kept pressing safelite for an answer, they said it would be covered in full but not the deductible portion. They knew I was in florida and there are no deductibles with comprehensive on a windshield. They kept trying to steer me away from a dealership into their shop. My local Allstate office was of no help when I called they said to call safelite back. I am beginning to rethink my coverage with Allstate if they are contracting everything out now and I have to do the agents work with a claim and pay for the work and then try to get imy money back from them. I am not sure why they issued such a large increase recently while cutting back on service. read more

My Allstate woes, I have a client who sells Allstate so due to my loyalty I have carry Allstate. Insuring three properties , vehicles, trailers, and small business, for 20 years. Latest fiasco, two storms roll through Cincinnati, first claim on roof damage, I was told by Curtis Cook, to buy a tube of glue and to glue shingles down ??? A few days later said shingles come down in another storm, blew across my truck . All of my neighbors have new roofs ( covered by their insurance). We were told by inspector with Hancock Claims, (Jared Long), if we had been a customer for 40 years instead of a meer 20 it would have been covered. I see I'm not the only customer with issues. I signed up with Allstate because the representitive gave me a great price for my home, auto and camper. I paid a few months upfront for my auto just to find out I only paid 50% of the policy and still needed to pay the rest monthly. What sense does that make-I was also NOT informed that this was gonna happen. I was told I paid UPFRONT! When I called for clarification they could not even locate my camper insurance and was told I SHOULD be good-3 more calls later, they figured it out. Totally not acceptable. Moving on to my Home inspector-Stated I have tree limbs touching my roof- I do NOT. I told the agent my roof was old, this was not new news when I started the policy. But after inspection they told me I need to have it cleaned or replaced of the moss and non existing tree branches. Mind you, my roof is TALLLLL! i have no idea how to prove I don't have them touching without an extension ladder to take pictures. Now on my ap it states they have already canceled my home policy. It literally states on the ap the home policy ended 11/13/23-for moss?!. I do NOT know how it can already end in the future(?). Moving back to the auto policy, I keep getting email notification to get in my car and drive for the drive wise discount to be effective....I work from home...why do I need to leave to get a discount. WORST SERVICE EVER!!! Had an emergency and needed to take my car to the dealership before the service center closed. I called for towing service at 4. I got a notification saying they were on route and would arrive at 5:30-6:00. It already seemed crazy to me that it would take that long but I had no choice so I waited. It was already 10 past 6 when I called again, they said it would be another 30 minutes. Another hour passed and nothing, I received a call from the towing service saying they were barely on their way and if I still wanted to tow my car. (Seriously!?) They told me it would be another 15 minutes. Time passed again and nothing, I called to cancel. It is just ridiculous that we are paying for such horrible service. I am canceling this service. The last manager I finally came into contact with was shocked to find the files he needed had been in her file for the past 7 months. Had I not taken no for a dozen times, she would still not have been paid today for an accident that had her unoccupied parked car hit by a drunk driver that had been arrested at the scene with witnesses. The funny thing is that they stood by not being able to get the report, but it was I that sent them the arrest and police report that had been in their files for 7 months!!! Terrible customer service experience. Julia sent a quote for liability only on my 5 year old car after I filled out an interest form online when I wanted/need comp coverage. Comp coverage was double the cost of liability, $881 every 6 months! More than I pay now. She "forgot" what time it was and did not call at 1pm like she said she would, too busy eating lunch. I come to find (after hours and hours and hours of trying to talk to someone) that because my dad's name was on the title of the car and mine on the insurance policy, they don't want to pay me. I'm paying about $300 per month for my vehicle when I first signed up with Allstate in August 2022 I did it over the phone with the representative come to find out he entered my bank account information wrong I did call about this issue and I did fix the issue with one of the representatives and she also stated that that representative enter my bank account information wrong that's why I had two payments got kicked back and the Allstate policies says if you have two payments I could kick back you cannot have auto pay for 13 months. Obviously, this was a representatives fault issue not the customer issue but as a customer, I am getting punished and paying extra per month for a customer service representative mistake. Also my second issue with Allstate is they use a different address that I am no longer live at and use that address as my current address so I was paying additional extra which I still to this day. Do not know how they got that address. What the bad customer service and just bad in general I wouldn't recommend nobody going with Allstate. I just feel that all they care about is their money and that is it they do not care about their customers once so ever. read more

When car was ready. The body shop informed me that I had to pay $1000 deductible. Were not at fault mind you. Allstate said we have to pay the deductible. Then they will get the deductible from other Insurance. And forward payment to me. Not to mention they informed me. That it is a lengthy process to get my refund?? Now this is the slap In the face. Called for a tow around 12:30pm waited 3 hrs never showed. Called again and they said another 120 minutes a different company was coming. They never showed either! loathe this company! worst people ever to handle a claim! They told me several times I would be covered for a rental. When I called to find out how to utilize that and was told I had been misinformed. So now I am just SOL for weeks. There was no empathy no care just, " you were misinformed! Allstate didn't honor the price they gave me for a quote on auto insurance. They said if I paid in full I would get a discount and I paid that quoted amount prior to my policy due date. Now they want more money because they I didn't qualify for the discount. They are dishonest and would gladly lose a customer over 50 bucks. Take your business elsewhere!! read more

They screeed me over they even adjusted amount so yhe would not cover storm damsge do yourself a favor get someone who actually cares about you. 3 of their inspectors said storm damage. Did they listen NO they adjusted claim in their favor. 16 months sgo they inspected roof and told us to cut ttees . We did they then told mr we were covered black mold on sheetrock. Damage could have worse husband put plywood in attic you ate not im good hand w allstate. read more
