It's work, but If you don't try, nothing happens. Escalate issues. Don't give up! My kids launched themselves and ended renting a place together. On their own , not knowing the hell ahead, chose Allstate for car insurance. I bought my daughter Carly a good used car; it was titled to me, but hers to drive and maintain. In her 4th year with the car, there was an accident and an Allstate adjuster determined her car a complete loss. A dollar amount was decided, and Carly, prepared to purchase a new car. Allstate's check took 6 weeks to arrive, & had both Carly's & my name on it? The bank sent it back to Allstate. TWO MORE MONTHS GO BY WITH NO PAYMENT (with Carly's finances a mess), I made the next call. The bottom line from Allstate was: THEY MIGHT HAVE TO WITHDRAW ANY PAYMENT! WTF? 'They don't insure cars titled to a parent, driven by their child?' Caveat to Parents who buy kids a car (titled to parents), be certain you're covered! And when I asked for real honesty re: intent to pay (what we ARE owed), the chances of denying ANY payment, the agent said, 'well it's possible there won't be payment, were still investigating.' Yet the software developers were either too lazy or too incompetent (you choose the correct adjective) to incorporate that their site advertises cars from out-of-town or out-of-state with their DELIVERY FEES. No one put a gun to the head of AllState to offer a site that can't correctly calculate what your costs may be upon purchase. This coupled with the damage my home sustained using the "GOOD HANDS" Roadside Assistance Service, and you've got the proper recipe for disaster, courtesy of AllState and its "GOOD HANDS" offerings.

My monthly auto insurance payment, which is automatically withdrawn from my account, nearly doubled beginning the first of this year, (to $250) without any notice or explanation. I called back in April asking my assigned agent, Tom Snow, for answers and for an explanation of why my rates increased so much and to show me exactly what coverage I am paying for. He promised to follow up with an email. That never happened. After nearly 3 months of no follow up from "my agent" while my account was being hit for $250 each month by Russ Angelbeck's office, I had to call multiple times to reach someone who could help. When I finally did get in touch with the owner, Russ, he rudely stated that there is nothing they can do to lower my monthly rates and to find a new insurer if I want to pay less. All of this after three years of carrying both auto and renters policies with these guys. Unbelievable! Steer clear of this office.

I called before my next payment to try to cancel my policy. I was told I had to come in person to fill out some paperwork. I explained that I have moved to Michigan which is a 6 hour drive and I no longer own the vehicle. The representative told me the only other option I had was to let the payment pass and after a month it will cancel on its own. To my surprise I was charged for the policy a few weeks afterwards. I called and explained my situation. They explained that if I could show proof that I sold my vehicle they could refund me the last payment. I didn't even have proof of payment as I sold it to a stranger as a 3rd party sell. It's not like I received a receipt of the sale. They said I could have send a letter explains I wanted to cancel my policy with my signature!!!!! How the fuck are they going to tell me that when they are emailing me the paper work for me to sign right now!!!!!.... Why the fuck didn't the last agent tell me he could have emailed me the paperwork!!!!! So now this company has taken a payment out of my account when I was told I wasn't in autopay and no refund is available. This whole business is a shit show and I would recommend everyone going to find another insurance company.
