I can say I have had many horrible experiences with Allstate. First being with milewise, I regularly got charged twice a month even after being reassured that if I switch to unlimited milewise I will only be charged for exactly 1 month. If you're not familiar with milewise they have a dashboard that keeps track of usage and when the current balance will run out, by 20-24 days (at best) I somehow ran out of my unlimited mileage. I was fed up and asked to switch to the traditional plan which I had previously been quoted $181, which was now up to $224 I made sure to request that I had roadside assistance which leads to my next issue. Back in April of 2022, My kids somehow managed to lock my keys inside the car while it was running and they were outside of the car.... I called for roadside lock out assistance (which is apparently a 3rd party) and for an hour received texts saying its taking longer than we expected to find anyone in your area, were working hard to get you your rescue. About an hour after the last text I hadn't heard anything and got on online chat due to the lack of getting anyone to answer. They replied with, well you do not have roadside assistance and will be required to pay up front for your services which can be reimbursed by Allstate (I had roadside assistance plainly stated in my policy coverage) they made me call someone else who made me pay $89 up front before they would even send someone, which according to my texts messages they had already been searching for someone to send, so it was 2 hours before they even tried to send help (thank God I was at home and not on the side of the highway with my 4 children) after paying they assigned me to 3 different companies before anyone actually arrived (6 or 7 hours later, mind you my car has been running this whole time, and I ended up barely having enough gas to get to the gas station by the time I received help) the person who finally arrived was incredibly rude and treated me like he was superior to me. I asked for him to send a receipt for reimbursement because the people who set up the assistance said they could not give me a receipt for reimbursement that the person who had given services had to give me the receipt. As of the end of May I still had not received a receipt from Anyone. Tried calling allstate, could not get answers and kept getting passed on to multiple representatives who all claimed that they couldn't help me, told me I needed to call the company who provided services to get a receipt, so I did. He belittled me about not being smart enough to realize he wouldn't have a receipt for me because he got paid a considerable amount less than what I paid up front. Back to calling around Allstate and not getting an answer, no one could help me or would help me. I spent hours on phones and online chats and the issue still to this day, August 3, 2021 has not been resolved. FF to July, my husband and I were having financial difficulties and he had just switched jobs so we were late on our payment. I paid the month of July 2022 on the 26th. I explained the situation about Jobs and how it would be difficult to pay the an additional 224 on top of the 196.91 I had just paid and requested payment to be pushed off until the 15th since you're able to adjust payments online. They said, absolutely not, and if you do not pay the other 224 by the 2nd your policy will be canceled. I told them that with my excellent payment history and time with the company should be a reason for them to work with me when I'm asking this one time for assistance, they refused. Upon deeper investigation by the agent I was chatting with, my policy was already listed as canceled. So if I did make the payment it would not have mattered anyway. Mind you my policy was supposed to have been canceled yesterday if they did not receive my payment by 11:59 pm on Monday the 1st. I told them on the 27th I wanted to cancel my policy, I made arrangements for a new insurance company to take over on the 31st. I reminded them again to cancel my insurance policy on the 31st. They sent me confirmation of canceling my services. I suspended payment on the 31st, and woke up this morning to them having taken out the money even though I went in a suspended my payment. I again got online saying I had already canceled my account and suspended pay so why were they charging me. She said "oh well, it shows your cancelation for services set to the 3rd (which is today, so why was I charged) she canceled my policy again and sent confirmation again. but as a result of what they did, my bank account is negative. I absolutely will not ever use this company again. I have had 18 whole months of nothing but bad experiences. read more

From the initial call with Yolanda to the tow truck service all went smoothly & on time.

Pays claims fast. Having a good experience with an insurance is about as rear as finding a unicorn...They're not the cheapest insurance but the coverage is the best. I have platinum coverage and it has proven to be the best insurance I have ever had by far. That new car replacement is real. They gave me the retail value for my 2005 vehicle that had 226,000 miles. Wow. Totally unexpected and pleasantly surprised. I thought it was worthless but Allstate came through. Thanks Allstate. read more

I have to sue them to get replacement value for my car, otherwise they are unwilling. I hope they don't take it to the point where I have to start seizing assets, but I have my doubts. I'm willing, paperwork going to the court now. read more

I don't know why I keep giving this company opportunities. I've gotten a few quotes, they're always twice as much as everybody else. And this particular office of which I will not mention north of Denton, TX sent me a letter saying they could get me homeowners insurance for $384. When it came right down to it, that $384 became 3500. When I mention that to them, they just said: "oh the 384 was just to get your attention." That's false advertising and borderline illegal. Next time I want to get low balled, I can go to a trashy used car lot. read more

Does this company train the claims staff in the art of blowing people off? We have a 5 month old claim on damage from a water heater and the person assigned to us just opted to drop off. We called another agent assuming he left. The woman we spoke with had a very adversarial tone and was rude. We found out the original guy was still there and he still didn't call back! Finally caught him at the end of the day. He contradicted himself on a major point and had no good excuse for his lack of responding for months. This is a huge company to be so shady. What is the deal? read more

It's been 16 years now and not a day goes by that I don't regret having accepted Allstate's recommendation to hire ProTech Construction. I wish Allstate would have recommended a company that could put a floor down that would stay down and a fireplace mantel that would stay up. Complaining to Allstate got me nowhere fast. Wish Allstate knew how much Protech cost them. They paid for 12 months living expenses, instead of 4 months, the length of time ProTech said it would take to complete repairs, probably about $32000 more than needed. Allstate offered me $60000 for repairs, I understand they paid their contractor twice that much, without asking me first if the work was completed. Have no idea how much extra they paid for furniture storage. Any person, friends, family, neighbors, that walk into my home gets an eyeful of Protech's work and an earful about dealing with Allstate. To be fair, I have to note that of all the Allstate people I dealt with, the only person that was professional, courteous was the person taking care of my personal effects, Ms Liz Holling. Also, I recently had a theft from my home, to which Allstate responded quickly. In short, if you have a major claim, hire a personal adjuster and save yourself a few headaches read more

Stay away from Allstate! I have had Allstate insurance on my house and cars for over 20 years and they are the worst at paying claims and customer service. I recently had my policy reviewed and they sent a inspector to my house, supposedly he never let us know he was at my house, and they threatened to drop our coverage because we have an old roof. They said the roof has to be replaced but they would not pay for it. After 20 years I had only one claim for a broken pipe that they denied payment for. They have said they would cancel us and not even give us time to replace the roof. After 20 years you would think they would at least try to work with us. This is company is very good at taking your money but terrible at customer service and protecting you. Do not do business with them, you are definitely not in "in good hands with Allstate". read more

Contacted Allstate in regards to my roof which is in poor condition. The roof has lost 72 shingles and it was installed in 1997. They sent out a contractor to assess the damage and stated that they would not replace the roof. I contacted my agent who then submitted a request for the reversal of the decision with no luck. This is even after he provided the age and the fact there was no way to fix it with out damaging more of the roof. Now there is such a thing as a "brittle test", in which someone attempts to lift the shingles on the roof without damaging the surrounding shingles in order to replace missing shingles. Did their contractor do this, NO! He spent over 1 1/2 hours walking around on the roof. I have had several reputable contractors who have stated that there is no way you can replace the damaged of missing shingles without damaging the ones around it. Here is the real kicker, I have a $5K deductible and wouldn't you know it, Allstate estimated repairs at below $5K, hmmm imagine that, just below $5K! I have been with this company for many years with my auto insurance and they have had the policy on the house for 10 years with no claims. "Your in Good Hands" what a bunch of BS. If you have Allstate do yourself a favor find a company who will be there and take care of your issues. They would sooner wait until more damage is done to the roof and perhaps the inside of my house, and then what? They will try to weasel their way out of paying for that too? One thing you can bet on, I will let everyone know exactly what Allstate is about, and how they do their customers wrong. More to come, this isn't over yet!!! read more

Do not do business with Allstate Insurance on any level. I had a collision with a deer on December 11th, 2021, and that is when everything went to hell in a speeding bus. First, the roadside assistance that I pay additional money didn't arrive for over four hours. Next, the claims adjuster provided me a lowball estimate to which they stated they wouldn't pay, because I only had liability although the police report directly stated the collision with the deer was not my fault. They did stated it did not matter that it wasn't my fault, and I should not have followed the advice of their salesperson when I purchased the policy. I then took the vehicle to a shop that provided a repair estimate of $8,362.26 which was more than the overall value of the vehicle. I then chatted with multiple agents that provided me the same, old story. I'm sorry there is nothing we can do although we took your money for months knowing the repair costs were more than the vehicle's value. Each agent stated I understand your frustration, but there is nothing we can do for your liability policy. PLEASE, PLEASE do not purchase any policies from this company. I'm confident I'm not the first person that they have done this to, but I'm going to try to make myself the last. read more

I was recently in an accident with another Allstate Insured driver. Because Allstate was going to pay the claims anyway they didn't take the time to review the facts of that case to assign fault to the woman who hit me. This shouldn't be legal. They should have to look at physical evidence to find fault the same way they would if I had been hit by a driver insured by another company. I can't even take the case to arbitration because they don't arbitrate themselves. Will definitely be looking for another insurance company (and after over 20 years with them). I had no idea they were so fraudulant. read more

My name is Luis Medrano. I have been an Allstate customer for over ten years and since 2011, havent had any issues till now. In 2011 i had filed a claim for my roof to be replaced and had no problems. I have since moved and continued with Allstate for my insurance needs. After a very bad wind storm recently, i filed a claim on my new home and have had nothing but trouble with this process. The claim was filed on 3-3-22 and my original claim handler was Manuel Valverde. Communication with him was difficult between myself and my contractor and when we finally spoke with his supervisor, we were able to get a re-inspection since the first inspection resulted in a denial of replacement. Hoping this would have a better outcome, we continued with the re-inspection. With a new adjuster assigned to my claim, Blake Juberg, it led to the same outcome. Ive had two other opinions on my roof from other contractors and all agree that my roof needs to be replaced based on the age and condition. With Blake not helping any further, we contacted his supervisor Miller Hedges. To date, there has been no response. After ten years of being a loyal customer, i expected better. I have spoken with other homeowners that have had nothing good to say about Allstate and their services. I am still trying to talk with Allstate, but without anyone willing to return a simple phone call, im left to this review in hopes that others will not fall victim to this gross misrepresentation of what an insurance company should be. read more

I called Allstate roadside service at 11:39 and didn't receive a call back from a tow company until 3:15 pm, leaving me stranded at a 4 way stop sign, wasn't able to drive or push car. Sheriffs dept. showed up about 2:15 and called a tow company to remove my car from the road as it was unsafe being at the bottom of the hill. I tried to contact the 1st. tow company assigned to me by the Allstate roadside service and only got automated text or a message that the phone voicemail box was full. Cancelled that one and Roadside service assigned another but meantime the tow company came that the sheriffs ordered, the best tow company around (Complete towing & recovery) The 2nd. tow company called me 1 1/2 hrs. after it had been cancelled at 3:00. I called Allstate roadside service because I felt I would receive good reliable service and I had trust in them. I would give them a negative 10 all the way around in communications and service, was a horrible experience. Would definitely not recommend. read more

I am a former Allstate customer. After 35 years of being a loyal customer, my policy as terminated. I was made aware on 12/02/2020 that my policy had been terminated on 11/02/2020. I did not receive any cancellation notices. I contacted my agent. He made a call to underwriting the next day. He was told that my policy could not be reinstated. I asked him to contact them again to make sure that was their decision. He was on hold for several hours with underwriting a couple of days. I tried contacting them myself but only got a call center representative. My pay history and loyalty to this company should have been enough for them to reinstate without any hesitation. I am extremely disappointed and will not recommend them. Allstate is not the same company I started out with 35 years ago. I will be canceling my renters and life insurance policies. Hello, I hope this reaches out to management who can assist me. I understand we are going through a rough time due to the COVID virus. It's regarding my renewal, I've been trying for two days to speak or email someone. There's no contact email on your website. The one I did see allstatemotorclub@allstatemotorclub.com came back a failure. So how does anyone contact you beside through a phone number????? It's unfortunate a large company like yourself, that I've been with for over 21 years does not have an update with some kind of emergency email contact or available contact/chat on your website. That would allow you to be ble to work with your client during a time for all situations especially billing questions. Very disappointing. Allstate try's to scam you ever step of the claim process. I took a vehicle into a Honda dealer who is an Allstate preferred repair shop. They claimed that they were going to fix $3,000 worth of damages for $1,200. Come to find out that they were going to repair my vehicle with cheap Chinese parts. I refused and told them I was coming to pick my vehicle up and take it to another shop to have it professionally repaired with OEM parts. They said they already started the repair process without my permission and that if I wanted to pick up my vehicle I would have to pay them $500. When the other repair shop received my vehicle they said Allstate was trying to scam me because it would be impossible to repair the damage to my vehicle for $1,200. After all the hell I went through to get my vehicle repaired properly Allstate raised my rates by $1,200 a year. I went around and got quotes from other insurance companies and got way better insurance from State Farm at 1/2 the cost of Allstate. read more

If you are contacted by Allstate Motor Club to enroll in their "roadside assistance" program, run as fast as you can! I have Allstate Insurance for my car and have no problems or complaints. I assumed that I would receive the same level of service from their motor club. Boy, was I wrong! Last summer my daughter and I were driving to the Grand Canyon when my car stopped at an intersection in Tec Nos Pos, New Mexico. There is no major city in any direction for a hundred miles. My "motor club" provided no assistance at all and abandoned us with no car and cell phones which were dead from all the time spent on the phone trying to get them to provide their contracted service. Basically, they abandoned us in the desert at night. It is no big deal to have car trouble in the city. Help is available everywhere. When you really NEED help is during the situation in which we found ourselves. Allstate Motor Club didn't find us any help at all, and said to call them back the next day when we had figured out what we were going to do. To add insult to injury, I contacted them once we were home, and they neither covered the towing service we found, nor refunded my premium I paid for the year. As I said earlier: RUN!! read more

The worst experience! I talked to this guy Andy and told him that I had a flat and I also needed a jump start. I waited for about 45 minutes and then this guy calls me to tell me he was close to my address , but he tells me, he has no order to help me with my tire. So I called Allstate Motor Club again, and this lady tells me that I can't order two services at the same time, that I needed to call one service first and then call again for the second service. I found this ridiculous and just pure bullshit protocol. Why this guy Andy never told me about this and just took my two orders and only sent me one service. I really found this experience very awkward. Probably going to change from Allstate Motor Club to GEICO Roaside Assistance. read more

March 9, 2020 I called Allstate for a flat tire rescue. Eventually a guy shows up in a car. I asked where's the service truck and he said "I'm it". I got a bad feeling already. So he pulls a floor jack out of his trunk and blindly shoved it under the car and starts pumping. Just as I said "Hey you have to use the lifting pad on the frame", there's a loud POP! Then he lowers, looks and places it right, and changed the tire. I took the car to Mercedes Benz and they verified that he busted the undercarriage protective panel. MB said it would cost $313.69 to repair. I sent the estimate to Allstate and they agreed to pay it and that the deductible would not apply since they damaged the car. Three weeks later they sent me a check for $213.69, a $100. Short. I called again, always someone different, who said that I was charged a $100. Deductible! After explaining again they said I would have to wait for them to get the remaining $100. from the tow company. Allstate damaged my car and Allstate should pay me all of it then get their money from the tow company! Here it is end of month and I've not seen it. We have received the worst customer service from the Tolliver Agency. Riley and Darcel specifically. We switched from Allstate because of this. We had Allstate for years for both our home and auto insurance so we were very surprised to see that our rates had gone up considerably. We called them and we were told they never received documents they needed to offer discounts. Those documents were sent and we can prove they were sent to Riley's email address. We sent them again and big surprise, she said she never received them, again. I spoke with her myself and Riley was so rude and condescending that I decided we would be switching auto insurance. I told her that her attitude was awful and asked to speak with Mr Tolliver and she refused to let me speak with him. She told me that her job is to offer discounts and that is all she does. It was because of her and Darcel that we left. We decided to look at other quotes for out homeowners as well and we did end up switching that as well . Our new insurance company sent the proper documents to Allstate so we were again surprised to receive a bill and a rude call from Darcel months later demanding money. We called our new insurance, they confirmed the proper documents were sent, but they sent them again. We are disappointed that we were treated so poorly after years with Allstate. read more

Never really had a problem until we actually needed to use our insurance, which is when you can see true colors. Our vehicle was stolen and had over 1k miles out on it and appears to have been jumped. This was April 10th recovered 15 days later. At first Allstate promised the car would be fixed to the standard it was prior or better. After our pics of the truck were submitted they told us how they could tell we cared for our vehicle ect. (The car is my hubby's baby... who else keeps pics of a truck) Anyways here we are July 16 we still don't have our car back and Allstate will not fix the issues with the truck. My favorite is leaks are showing as old due to residue deposits. Well 3 months of leaking is kind of an old leak that probably left residue. And ball joints are wearing parts so good luck there, not like bad ball joints will make a wheel fall off or anything dangerous like that. Anyways who knows how much longer this nightmare will last and how much more they will find and refuse to fix. Annabel offer, Here is my review! I called All state insurance to get a quote. This was an agency I had once before when I lived here in the 80's. Agency that is located in Westmont NJ. The agent on the phone gave me an extremely high rate! I asked her why and her answer to me was, because of your age. I've never had an accident in my 68 years. She said that when older people have an accident they are in the hospital much longer then young people. So they have to be charged a much higher rate for car insurance. I reminded her that was discrimination! She became defensive and said "No it's not!" I found AAA who gave me a reasonable rate and now I'm insured with AAA. And very happy! Did not discriminate! read more

My car broke down on the way home from work, so I called Allstate my insurance company for roadside assistance. I paid out of pocket because I didn't have roadside assistance, got an ETA of 68 minutes, waited for over 2 hours and no one showed up. Been sitting on the side of the road for over 3 hours total. Not a single update from the driver. Every time I call back, the only answer I get is that the driver is on the way. They made me pay over the phone before the tow truck even shows up. They're so quick to take your money but slow as a snail for the tow truck to come to rescue. On Thursday January 10th at 9:20pm, my vehicle blew a tire in Minnesota's capital city, St Paul. I had three children with me, ages 1, 5 and 8 and the temperature was 21 f with a 10mph wind. The vehicle was disabled on a large bridge of a fast moving freeway. The state patrol was requested to ensure our safety. I called Allstate Roadside assistance at 9:20pm and explained the significant situation we had including about the cold temperature and children present. After spending time verifying my information to, the I'll informed agent had significant difficulty locating where we were disabled. The agent finally seemed to know where we sat and indicated that a service provider will be secured and they will contact me for an ETA. I received a call at 9:39 from Allstate to explain that they did not have a local provider available unless I wanted to wait 120 to 180 minutes. After expressing concern that I am in the capital city and they should have oroviders, I asked to speak with a manager. The manager confirmed that they did not have a provider. I expressed my negative feelings about an "Emergency Roadside Assistance" company with no providers are in fact a dangerous false offer of devices that they are unable to perform. By the time the call came in, my mother had arrived. She offered to call AAA for me. Here's how an emergency roadside company should work, as demonstrated by AAA: Call placed at 9:31pm, call complete by 9:40 (agent seemed to know the area, making things simple). The tow truck driver called at 9:46 and arrived at 9:53. He pulled the vehicle to a safe place to change the tire by 10:10pm and we we're back on the road at 10:21pm. 50-minutes total time with AAA.
