So much is online and through impersonal media. Recently relocating to Redding, I wanted to feel connected to as many actual living, breathing people as possible-Wayne set me up with renters insurance for my new little place in a snap and was detailed in his explanation of my policy-not in the annoying blah-blah-blah kind of way people on the phone are from big dot com companies. I would recommend Farmers and more specifically, Wayne Miller over on Churn Creek to everyone I know! 5 Stars!

When my husband and I first…read moregot married I talked to him about the insurance and how we could probably get insurance a lot cheaper somewhere else as, we have MULTIPLE vehicles insured through Wayne Miller and Farmers. He told me that he's been with Wayne for 30 years and he and Farmers have ALWAYS done him right. Well, a few years later I found out how true that was! My husband and I got into an accident caused by an uninsured, unlicensed, impaired driver that nearly totalled our truck. I honestly could not believe how quickly our truck was repaired and the claim settled. I didn't know that ANY insurance companies worked that fast and WITHOUT headaches! Not only is Farmers AMAZING but, so are Wayne and his receptionist Paula. Instead of mailing in our payment to Farmers every month, we walk it in just to say hello to Wayne and Paula. Even during the CARR fire when their phones were ringing off the hook, they had a big smile, hello and, "how's your day going? ". I probably would have been cracking and definitely not smiling under that much stress! Lol So, if you ask me if it's worth it to pay a little more for your insurance, I'd say, ABSOLUTELY!!! If you ask me which Farmers insurance company you should sign up with, I'd definitely say, Miller Insurance on Churn Creek! By far the BEST insurance company, agent and worth EVERY penny!!!

INCOMPETENT & DANGEROUS. My wife and I used Ziptax for three consecutive years for our personal…read moretaxes, and it has taken another two consecutive years to repair all the damage. I do not enjoy leaving 1-star reviews and rarely ever do, but this business has caused us so much distress that it would be unfair not to warn others before contacting this office. We switched to another local tax resolution and preparation office, and we were stunned upon deeper investigation to find out just how bad our situation was after using Ziptax. We were slammed with IRS penalties, interest, and found that Ziptax not only neglected to file our taxes correctly, they also purposely left out write-offs they claimed had been entered. Ziptax filing errors and incompetence has cost us thousands of dollars, and we are still working to resolve the problems they caused. The tax preparer we worked with overlooked basic forms that were needed to file for health insurance and college expenses, and ultimately refused to include legitimate tax write-offs on our behalf. We were then forced to file an IRS amendment, and she submitted incomplete documentation several times causing the IRS to close out the amendment due to missing information. Ziptax makes no attempt to discuss your tax situation in an effort to maximize your refund or limit the amount owed. Our experience was that of a slam & jam tax prep company that simply looks for the fastest, easiest way to submit the return. I have to assume Ziptax is at least capable of filing basic personal taxes on some level, otherwise they would be out of business by now. But do yourself a favor, interview your tax preparer before working with them and ask them about their process. We failed to do so initially with Ziptax, and it cost us dearly. Better yet, skip Ziptax altogether and find a more competent company in town.
