The job was not perfect but they did a good job with cleaning for the pricey detailing they charged me. The water continued flowing in even after the detailing. Pretty much everything was moved around and not put back in place. The steering wheel, the cup holder, the rearview mirrors. Initially when I turned my car on I got an red screen of death, but fortunately, after I adjusted the steering wheel back in position, it cleared off and got back to normal. My driving glasses disappeared, some items were broken in the process of cleaning. They threw away my wet towels that I was using to clean out the water and some other items which I wasn't too pleased with. It could have been put in a plastic bag instead of taking the liberty to throw away. The garage wasn't exactly near me in the 60626 neighborhood which was a hassle to get to and back. Many of the causes were obviously from the water flooding. Either way, it was cleaned enough to at least get me dried out from the flooding. In the long run I've been happy to be in a clean car.

After talking through the issue we were surprised and excited that they could fix the car right where it was. This saved us from having to pay for a tow truck. Also, it was Black Friday and they were able to come to us on Monday morning. We purchased a new starter through Auto Zone (thanks to their Black Friday deal we got 20% off AND free next day delivery!!) The guys arrived 30 mins early!!!! It was amazing how they just lifted up my Honda Civic which had been sitting in my parking lot since Wednesday. It took a few hours but they were able to install the new starter and charge us what they quoted over the phone. We are very happy and impressed! The next time my "city car" (a 2008 Honda Civic) needs something I am definitely going to call Super Mobile Mechanics first.

I set an appointment with a corporate auto glass replacement company. When they arrived at my house they informed me they couldn't replace my windshield because a custom light bar "might hurt their tools" and they didn't have a star allen wrench (????) I also waited 4 days for the appointment. I called a custom Jeep shop in the area who referred me to DnB Auto Glass. That was my lucky day. I called DnB and left a message. An hour later I was on the phone with the owner, Frank, who asked for 3 easy pieces of info (via text--yay, why can't all business figure out how to communicate via cell in 2024?), and 5 minutes later, after asking if I wanted factory or aftermarket glass, Frank said: when can you be here? 45 mins later, I was there. 40 minutes after that, I was back on the road home, new factory glass installed professionally and affordably. Frank and his wife were smart, funny, friendly, and efficient. Skip the corporate glass bozos. Call DnB. Frank made my week a whole lot better, a whole lot faster than I imagined possible. They did good body work, but did not complete the job by fixing the exhaust system…read moreand the muffler sounds caused by my SUV being rear ended by an F-150 speeding at 40 mph while I was parked at a stop light. I picked the SUV up and it sounded like it did not have a muffler! I then had to reach out to the at fault party's insurance who stated I had to bring the SUV back to the people who did a half ass job after picking it up and the engine roaring when starting or stepping on the accelerator. They said the Caddie SUV sounding like a 1989 Honda Civic with glass packs had nothing to do with the wreck, stating it is just normal wear and tear on the car. I lost all faith in the shop. After 4 hours of driving to different mechanics, the new mechanic stated that being rear ended absolutely caused the issues mentioned above! The techs at Collision Connection Auto Body did half hearted work. I believe in helping mom and pops shops, but don't waste your time. They will do the bare minimum and not do the right thing when no one is looking. Very frustrated and disappointed.
