Janice worked with the insurance company and I'm sure that's how it all got done in a reasonable amount of time.

Choose a different body shop. White Eagle employees Ron and Laura agreed to do repairs on my car…read morefor an itemized estimate and specific amount approved by my insurance company; I would have gone elsewhere if this agreement had not been in place. After repairs were complete, Ron at White Eagle sent supplements containing additional charges to my insurance, which the company did not fully approve; multiple White Eagle employees including Laura shared with me that there were problems with the initial estimate and approved amount for repairs from my insurance company. When I asked White Eagle employees including Laura why they had agreed to perform the work for my insurance company's original estimate if there were problems with it, I received no response. White Eagle held me responsible for part of what my insurance would not pay of the supplemental charges and refused to release my car to me unless I paid an amount beyond my deductible. The shop held my car for two weeks total. The repairs took one week, and the second week was when the shop nickel and dimed my insurance company and me while holding my car. White Eagle also did not respect my wish to communicate with me when charging my insurance company anything behind the insurance's approved amount. I found out after the fact due to my calling both White Eagle and my insurance company and asking questions. For transparency, my insurance company is an AllState company, not some questionable second- or third-rate insurance. If you take your car here, you may end up having to pay more than your deductible just to get your car back, as I did. This review should come as no surprise to White Eagle since I clearly expressed my concerns and dissatisfaction to multiple employees, and the shop made no attempt to remedy the situation. In fact, when Ron explained to me as I was picking up my car that a paint job came with a warranty, I explained that I wouldn't be back; he shrugged and said, "That's fine." I'm in my late forties and have worked with multiple body shops throughout my life, and never have I had an experience like this one. Terribly dishonest and unethical business with no commitment to customer service. As a final note: if you didn't read reviews (as I didn't) and now find yourself working with this business, don't let White Eagle coach you into how to get your insurance company to pay for extra charges. Instead, see this action as a red flag, and talk with your insurance company about what's happening from their perspective.

I wish I had seen the negative reviews. I would give Zero stars if I could. This was the WORST…read morecustomer experience I have ever had from any business anywhere. I was never updated on the status of my vehicle (unless I called). They could call, text, or email, and I got NOTHING. My car took almost 3 weeks to repair, when I was told it would be 5 days (honestly, the time doesn't concern me as much as the lack of communication about the status). When I finally picked up my car, I was "gifted" a screw in my tire and non-functioning reverse tail lights. They were immediately aware of the situation (I told them right away) and on the phone they said they'd take care of it. They never did. They refused to cover the tire because they denied it occurred on their property (but the car was with them for 3 weeks and the pressure in that tire was not an issue going in...). They told me they'd line up a rental car and fix the light malfunction; however, they never did. I called, they made promised, and that cycle repeated until I finally just did the repair on my own because they were not timely (I'm talking weeks!). DO NOT, under any circumstance, take your vehicle here. You will regret it.

I called back to speak to her supervisor and told him it was unacceptable that we could not get our car back today since she told me, I'll call you when it gets here. Making it sound like it was on its way and never once saying it could be a day or so from this morning. So I called back late in the afternoon trying to find out why I haven't heard back and she told me I couldn't get it until tomorrow. I explained that my wife needs it for work tomorrow and why wasn't I told that. She then said she did tell me, which she did not. So after she hung up on me I called back and I asked to speak to her boss. He was no better than she was in rudeness and professionalism. Years ago, I had dealt with them before and now remember what she was like that time too. They may do great work there but I wouldn't know it but I'll tell you what with those attitudes I will never go back there nor recommend them to anyone I know. I have never been treated so poorly by people who want to continue to do business in this town. On day two sometime just after 11 AM the lady from the front desk called with the estimate and we decided not to have the work done, she was angry and upset. I said I was leaving to pick up the car and that's when they told me it was taken to a subcontractor and she'll call me when it's back. I tried to interject that I would go pick it up, but she made it sound like it was already on the way. I was working and lost track of time and it got to be around 5 PM and I called back and she said the car is not there yet and that it would be there tomorrow morning. I told her that was unacceptable, because she knew my wife needed it to see patients as a traveling nurse. She said, I told you I'll call you when it's here and hung up on me. She knew from that morning that my wife was a traveling nurse and had patients to see the next day and needed the car but that didn't matter to her. Day three of dealing with Rich Lucas of Lucas Automotive Specialties and his representative at the front desk. I arrived at 8 AM, and another man was trying to help me but when Rich walked in he said I was wasting his time because I was looking for the best price for the work I want it done to the car and that they don't do estimates unless the work is being done there. (I ask you, what is an estimate for if you're gonna have to have the work done there and you don't have a choice once you get the estimate? No one I've ever dealt with before after getting an estimate done has demanded that I have to work done by them because they did the estimate. That is utter foolishness. So not only is he a mean old man he has deceitful business practices any uses fear and intimidation to try to get you to cave in to his view of things. We weren't even told until day two the car was taken to someone else to have the estimate done.) I went there at 8 AM to pick up the car and was told by Rich Lucas I don't listen because they said they would call me and no one called me. I said I understand but we need the car and I'll go pick it up. Rich said angrily, we don't work that way now get the "F" out as he stood up and pointed at the door. I said you're withholding my vehicle from me out of spite because we didn't have the work done here and I don't owe you any money, I'm calling the police. After the police came, he finally said the car would be there at 9 AM. I went back home and picked up my wife so she could leave straight from there. We arrived at around 8:40 AM and by 8:55 AM her car was still not there. At this point she took mine to see her patient and I waited inside where I could continue to watch the parking lot entrance. At around 9:20 AM I saw out of the corner of my eye Rich get up from the front desk and go back into the shop and then a few minutes later he showed up in the parking lot out front with my wife's car. Rich Lucas made me wait an additional 20 minutes, past the time he said the car would be there, knowing he had the car in the back the whole time. When he finally showed up with the car he had come from his back lot of which there is no access, except through the front entrance of which I have been watching since 8:40 AM. This means he is a deceitful, spiteful, lying, cheat. That's just my opinion after dealing with him for three days. It's also my opinion, based on my personal observations that he had my car the entire time and he was just being mean and spiteful.

My car was sideswiped and he came highly recommended to us. He had the car for over 7 weeks and I was in a rental that was only covered for 30 days by the insurance company. He told us we could contact us via text whenever we wanted to to get updates on the car. I made the mistake of texting after shop hours (and yes I admit...one text was very late at night due to his non response). That prompted a phone call where he proceeded to yell, rant and swear at me telling me he does not care about me, family or any other thing in my life.Totally inappropriate...He lied to me, my boyfriend and the insurance company about progress He was very slow to respond and of course I was wondering what was going on with the car...Every time the insurance company contacted him...he would tell me he lost an entire day of work...seriously a 30 minute (at most) visit or conversation does not throw an entire day off. When I finally did get the car back...one of the doors was not aligned properly, the paint was not completed correctly and it began to rust within a week. To add insult to injury...my 12 yo was in the back seat sitting next to the door he supposedly fixed and it flew open. The door indicator light was not showing any doors were open. Thank god I was going slow and not on the highway. And this happened more that once. Well the car is gone now...I could not fight with these guys anymore. He set out to get me and he did. I have a large car payment now, but I no longer have to worry about my children in the backseat...I do not want to kill them or any one else for that matter. Needless to say...I DO NOT recommended them unless you want to be lied to, treated with disrespect, sworn at and of course do not want the work done correctely on your car. Honestly...7 weeks...this guy is pathetic!

CARSTAR Yorkville - Color "well" matched according to Carstar manager Joe

Our car was rear ended and we were…read moredealing with the at fault driver's insurance (farmers), which told us to choose Carstar in Yorkville. Carstar told us we will have to wait for more than 2 months to get the car fixed and unfortunately we decided to wait. They only replaced the rear bumper and after we picked up the car, we noticed that the bumper was not aligned properly and had a minor gap (which ended up widening more over time). The color of the bumper did not match any other part of the car as well. When we came back to speak to the manager, he explained that everything is correct and if we are not happy then talk to someone else. We decided to get a second opinion and went to Crash Champions in Yorkville. After they inspected the vehicle, they realigned the bumper - free of charge! (since farmers refuses to do anything after faulty repairs done by Carstar). Crash Champions also explained in their opinion that Carstar did not match the color properly as well. They admitted it could be a 3 stage pearl white color but it was most likely an incorrect mixture selected and that is why the bumper color does not match with the other parts. This is an ongoing issue for over a month and Carstar is most likely waiting for us to forget about it and give up. Carstar customer service and management responses were ridiculous, arrogant and at some point we felt we were talked down because we spoke with an accent, so going back to them for a resolution seems pointless. At this stage we only seek simple accountability and to make this public as much as possible. Carstar may repair your vehicle correctly, but if they mess up - get ready to go through hell, cause their pride won't allow to admit a simple obvious mistake. Big THANK YOU again to Crash Champions and their manager Dylan for finding a couple of hours of their work day and realigning the bumper free of charge! Just wishing every customer out there to choose wisely, so you wouldn't have to go through our experience. (We attached pictures of the vehicle and the gap between the rear bumper after the accident and the gap after it was "repaired". Also you can judge how well the color was matched)
