They won't allow you to do tricks, they threaten to kick you out if you jump and spin to many times, and they target certain people! Me and my friend are both of different ethnicities than the general public. Staff seem to be directed towards us rather then our other friend who is white AND hit the same tricks and us. Aside from my allegations, the food is simply horrendous and overpriced. Everything hot is premade and is just heated up when you order. Many if not all times I've had their pizza it is greasy, salty, and sometimes undercooked. Let alone their, slushies are almost 5 dollars just for a small maybe 4 inch tall cup. Since we're on the topic of overpriced, I can bring their arcade into the conversation. You wont even realize how much you spent and how much you play until you finally run out of credits. The exchange from points to items is crazy! A box of Mike & Ikes are 600 points which takes a lot of money to get. I have been attending nights here as a regular for many years but over those years its been incredibly difficult to put up with the changes. Recently, they've cut off about 1/8 of the skating floor to move their new attractions to that area. You may not be able to visualize it but a eighth of the rink gone makes the rink much smaller than it already was. Not to mention the terrible flooring. It is uneven and bumpy compared to a rink like Erdu, which has smooth, waxy, flat, floors. (Erdu also has better music, this place plays corny and old pop) Don't go to this place, save your money, time, and sanity. Edit: They kicked us all out! I came back in 2009 with my own daughter to see if they were open still and since then I am hooked again. It was wonderful to teach and share in the Tarry Hall Experience with my own daughter. The rink is so well kept and the staff and owner are very friendly. The lighting system and sound system are off the hook!! They run some special deals often and have some theme night skate sessions like 80s music. The Flok app has a lot of special deals for this rink too. I have nothing but the best feeling of nostalgia and a place that rivals all other rinks in the area. A totally awesome place that kids and parents can enjoy activities together in a place that is clean and safe. Do check them out!! Tell them The 80s Man sent ya :v

The facility was filthy all weekend. Food and trash everywhere with no cleaning being done....I realize this is also part just laziness on the part of patrons but keeping your facility clean should be a priority. There is a bar upstairs but we did not visit that. 16 Biggby logos greet you before you even hit the lobby but don't expect to get a cup of coffee...No concession stand available at all (there is one there but it is closed, and from what I hear, has been closed since the Black Bear takeover). Ice conditions were poor, the glass around the South rink was so fogged parents couldn't see the games, and the scoreboard in the North rink didn't work on Saturday so coaches had no idea on time, penalties, etc. and had to keep asking scorekeepers for info. When rink conditions were brought to the attention of the rink staff, there was not much more than a shoulder shrug given. The Zamboni driver even backed onto the ice before handshake lines were finished which is a serious safety issue. For a rink hosting expensive youth tournaments, this is unacceptable. People pay good money to attend these tournaments. The facility needs major improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, and safety.

How is it 'open' if I have to register for it? I've heard nothing but awful things about this place, be it the rinks, the restaurant, or the barn itself, since it got bought out, and after the hassle I had of just trying to find a skate schedule it's safe to say I won't bother coming here. I'll drive the extra 10 minutes to Optimist in Jackson.

Then we went up a second time and there was a guy there. He said he would send somebody down and we waited 10 minutes and nobody was down there. The third time we went up we were exhausted, but we're still asking nicely for somebody to come down to exchange our cards for tickets. The one was incredibly rude and brushed us off, saying go ahead. Go ahead and leave. Everybody who is hired here was incredibly rude and had no customer service whatsoever. Then he ignored my other daughter and went back to the counter without saying a word. And when my daughter asked for a non-crumpled five dollar bill she said incredibly rude things. "Girl we don't straighten our bills leave I had to go tend to your group anyway." Then she left. Her teeth are crooked and her makeup is patchy.
