Located halfway in-between Litchfield and Jonesville on M-99 rural Hillsdale County, is a small but…read moreexciting bowling center. Considering the location of this place, it reminds you of the movie "Field of Dreams." There's an old saying "If you build it they will come and bowl." This is certainly the case with L&J Lanes. With high school bowling becoming a sanctioned sport in Michigan a few years ago, bowling centers have seen a dramatic increase in youth activity. Litchfield and Jonesville Lanes is the home to both school district's bowling teams. Likewise, this place is ideal for teachers to take their grade school students on an outing in the community, and enjoy an afternoon of fun, while exposing the kids to the sport for the first time. L&J Lanes offers party packages for kids and corporate events alike. They have 12 fully modern synthetic lanes manufactured by Brunswick, and a completely remodeled interior. The best part is they are smoke free!

I highly recommend this bowling alley if you're looking for a fun activity in this area!

It's strange, stumbling upon a six-year-old review and your polite, official response. I had…read moreforgotten the particulars of that visit, and it was like reading about a different person's frustration. I will, however, always appreciate the polite way you acknowledged the problem back then. My son and I just visited again. The kitchen had a sign up about renovations, and the employees were a different breed this time; not rude, just nonchalant. When I asked about a pool table, one just laughed and said no. We had a great time on the lanes, though, even if my son did manage to tweak his wrist on the final frame. As for the water, we didn't ask for any. I suppose, in a way, I don't want to know if it was ever fixed. The mystery of the odd color and the weird taste is a better story, and in a world where everything is supposed to be perfect, a good, weird story is a rare and beautiful thing.

Got home and set up the TV dinner tray to eat the wings and watch a movie. I was surprised at how many drummies were in it compared to wings! That was a bonus. They weren't small either. The second time was a Wednesday, we were told a league was coming in and we couldn't play so we just ate. The food was decent and the bartender was nice.
