Our family of 4 brought my son here for his 9th birthday. I was planning on getting the Unlimited Pass for both kids but was talked out of it at the counter. We definitely ended up paying more as I had to go get more cards mid-day so that didn't make me too happy. We started with the mini golf, which could definitely use some attention. Hole #7 was flooded so we had to skip that one. A lot of bricks are missing and there is a lot of rocks and debris on the green. The 18 holes are very plain with just a large boulder or two in the way. Next was lazer tag, this was one of our favorite things to do (we did it twice as a family). The first time everything went perfect. The 2nd time my gun and my son's gun kept turning off. Was annoying that we could still be shot as the vest worked, but the guns would turn off and then finally back on.. only to turn off again. The Go Kart Rides were fun, they give you a lot of laps and the cars are in good shape. The arcade games are pretty pricey, I would only recommend doing them if you have an unlimited or time card so you're not paying the "retail price" of the game. We loved the bowling. The server was fast and fantastic. The Balladium was enjoyed by the balls, but be warned, they shoot fast and hard. The workers there work very hard at the climbing wall and ropes course. I was very appreciative of them encouraging and motivating my boys when they were too apprehensive to do the zip line and climbing wall. We will defiantly be back in the future, and now I know what we like and what activities we don't need to do in the future. read more

aThis was an amazing find for us! On our way to our hotel we got a little lost and I spotted the ropes course and immediately knew I had to come here! After checking in to the hotel we drove right back for some family fun! This place seems really great! They have so much to do. If we lived in the area, we would probably be here all of the time. During our trip we all did the ropes course. The cashier was really great! The course was $12 a person, but she saved us a lot of money. There was a pick three activities for one low price, plus added one more activity at regular cost, and saved us at least $15! Thank you for realizing we were first timers and would not have know there was that option! The course was outside, and the weather was so perfect. I really enjoyed the challenge. Unlike some course, it was nice to see a lot of adults joining the children in the fun. They clearly make it an all-ages target audience which is good for us kids at heart. I liked the two story course with the zip line. I was terrified and excited to be there. There is also no time limit, which is nice, a smaller course near us gives you a 15 limit per climb. Besides the ropes course, they have a climbing wall and go-carts outside plus a food truck. Inside they have arcade games, virtual reality games, laser tag, a nice prize area, plenty of bowling, and some nice bars and snacks. The prices seemed very decent, and it was busy with a lot of customers, but not too busy to create a wait on any of the activities. The bar area offered some nice choices in draught beer. I am not sure what food they sold, but the fries looked good. They were also very kind about handing out ice water. It was a very hot day in the sun, and some similar places will not provide water after the activities. The bar tender was great! If I come back to this side of the state, I would have to stop here again. They also had some fun events. There was a Father's Day pancake and bowling deal which seemed very nice. We went two times. Arrived on a Friday at 3pm and realized that all the deals are m-f 11-2pm. Rides are $8each. Played some video games and decided to come back on t Tuesday because most things were shit down because of the rain. Went back but arrived at 12pm. It was busy but really enjoyed the gokarts. Attendant was nice and fun too. Played miniature golf which used up our time. Did the obstacle course which ended up being too scary for everyone and took a bit to get down. Raced over to the roller coaster after getting unhooked and made it with a minute to spare. The girl said we couldn't use our 29.99$ pass since it was too close to 2pm. I showed her my watch and she denied us. My granddaughter was devastated! No exceptions. A little harsh. We just thought she was mean. Everyone else was nice. We left on a bad note. Wish we had time to bowl. Probably could have gotten a lane instead and been there longer. Overall, good deal but ended up spending $60 on passes and $35 on food so not a cheap day for 2 people but got to do more things because of the passes. We attended an event here and it was AMAZING! These guys really roll out the red carpet! We had pizza, tacos, and an ice cream bar -it was delicious and high quality. We enjoy this place a lot. It's meant to entertain kids and adults. You can bring your kids for a day long of enjoyment that goes from arcade games, to laser tag, laser maze, and if weather permits, zip line and go karts. If you want to bowl as well, this is a good place to do so. They just upgraded all their facility and it looks awesome! New carpet, new lights, new ambience...and if you want to have a couple of drinks with friends, they have a tap room with a private bowling area that you can rent in case you want a private event. We stick with a home party and and come here for games after. Wristbands with unlimited game time for two hours and a card with 10 bucks is a great deal! This is my first time checking in and giving a review! Why? Simply, once we get inside to bowl, we forget to check in and just stress on who's gonna win the game. :P Called ahead of time to ensure that they are doing free bowling event and the lady who answered the phone was very informative and sweet. Great attentive service along with the cleanliness. I do see that they try to clean as much as possible even though it was very awfully busy. Good job on that! We were given a buzzer since it was about thirty mins wait. That was thoughtful rather than us waiting on our own and they forget about us. The reps kept apologizing to us for the inconvenience of the wait, I like the fact that they acknowledge us for waiting. It's kind of rare to find this kind of customer service these days. Finally, we got to bowl and the rep kindly auto registered our names so we didn't have to struggle doing that anymore. We only paid $3.50x2-$7 for shoes. Such a great generous event. We had a graduation party here in the tap room. The venue is clean, has plenty of staff and good food. We really enjoyed the wings and the pizza. There is a game room (credits, not quarters for the games), laser tag, bowling and a full bar. We found rhe prices to be fair, and the service was excellent. While Im not an avid bowler, the equipment seemed relatively new and in good condition, the lanes were easy to keep scoring and had bumpers for the kids. If you are looking for a kids party venue, family party or some other reason for a get together, Airways is a great choice. We will he back here again. read more

As always, Airway Fun Center hits the mark when we host our annual employee bowling party there. We love the private 8 lane suite, which is perfect for our group. Jessica Diamon, event director, is a gem to work with. She is very friendly and has lots of enthusiasm for her job. The pizza buffet was delicious with a large variety of pizzas, bread sticks & salad. And the cookie trays were a hit. No one went home hungry that is for sure. The waitstaff and bar tender were fabulous with awesome service. From the moment I walked in until I paid the final bill for our event, I was so happy that everyone had a wonderful and fun time. Great for kids - definitely go on one of their SPECIAL days and times - check online for the details. We went on a Tuesday for 1/2 price night and it was highly successful and didn't break the bank! We did the ROPE COURSE and GO-KARTS (super fast and fun) plus added a playcard for the games inside. Normal ticket scam for games - kids will get mostly candy if you go just once. You would need to save up for plenty of trips to get anything bigger than that. It didn't totally impress me - but there are so many more things to do that we didn't even try: laser tag, bumper cars + a full bowling alley down the hallway! read more

Spent the day there yesterday with my 9 year old son. Seems like the staff is almost all high schoolers who can't be bothered with working. It felt like we were an inconvenience to them whenever my son wanted to do anything. The majority of workers were sitting around eating, drinking, chatting, and playing on their phones. My son was one of 2 kids on the ropes for about 20 minutes. The miserable worker in charge of the zip line of the ropes course told my son he couldn't use the zip line anymore because he had gone down it 3 times. I looked around at the rules and didn't see any rule about going down the zip line only 3 times. Evidently that is their unposted policy when the ropes course is busy, but to turn my son away from the zip line when he is one of only 2 kids on the course is ridiculous. Please overhaul your staff and find some friendly people who like to work and interact with kids. read more

The staff here were so friendly and helpful! I love being able to golf, ride go-karts, play games & bowl. You can spend a few hours here being entertained for a pretty decent price. They also have great mixed drinks and snacks. If you play the squirt gun game, the winner gets a ticket to pick out a stuffed animal- which I thought was really cute. When you're in Kalamazoo, and craving some arcade fun, you just can't beat Airway. S, my niece, and I have been here repeatedly over the last couple months, and each time we've been, we've had a blast. The bowling lanes are fun- there always seems to be a lane open when we show up, and thankfully they even stock bowling balls and shoes able to outfit my niece for a few games of bowling- and it's easy on the budget, too! I figure one of these days she'll manage to roll her first strike and we won't be able to drag her out of the place! The food in the alley is also quite good- it's your usual bowling alley fare of things like burgers, fries, mozzarella sticks; that sort of thing- but it's all done very well and not murdered with salt and spices like other alley food I've had. I really enjoy the French fries here! My niece, when she's not bowling, can often be found on the bumper cars, where she proceeds to have a grand old time bouncing off everything and anything she can run into. There's plenty of outdoor stuff to do, too- a ropes course, mini golf, and even a go-kart track; hopefully I'll get to try the latter two things when it gets warmer! Inside, there are a number of other attractions you can try- but I'm more interested in the games. The arcade is where I spend most of my time- there's lots of redemption games there, and even some games just for fun. My usual seat, however, is up at the Spongebob coin pusher, hoping against hope that this is the day that Gary finally drops out of the machine to complete my set for the big ticket jackpot! There's also the Escapology escape rooms that I'm hoping to try in a few weeks for my birthday- those look really fun and I'm looking forward to finding out for myself just what they're like! Granted, this place could be even better- the ticket redemption counter is full of little things to trade tickets for, but there's precious little high-end trade stuff- there's a few things, like a remote control car, an RC helicopter, some headphones, and a Cubs-themed bowling ball (which is what I'm aiming after should nothing else show up), but maybe you guys could put in something like some game systems or sports memorabilia to entice more people to save up tickets? I've called multiple times, as well as my boyfriend to schedule a birthday party for my daughter and was given the run around. We've left messages and left phone numbers with promises of being called back. I spoke to someone today and they told me Sunday would be less crowded. I told him that I wanted to schedule her party for Sunday he advises me that he can't do it but he would transfer me to the front desk. The gentleman at the front desk tells me only one person that can assist me is gone. I also went online and requested someone contact me earlier in the week and I never heard from anyone. I've been here a couple of times for corporate events, so of course it's amazing when it's free! But I've been a paying customer a few times as well and I'm a fan of the tap room (a nice separate area where you can bowl without kids). They have all of the favorite fun games in the arcade section, along with some claw games where you win every time! Ticket earnings and redemption is done electronically on a card which is awesome (although I do miss seeing those tickets spit out of the machine!) Bowling alley is very nice and clean. Whether you're a bowler or not this is a fun place to go or take the kids on a rainy or snowy day. Cold beer and bowling have always maintained a harmonious coexistence in my life. What I like: The SERVICE button on my control panel. It lights up your scoreboard and a nice waitress comes to take your order. The beer selection works for me because they have Blue Moon. The food is by no means fine dining but this is a bowling alley so the stuff they sell is exactly what they should be selling. Aka burgers, fries, chicken fingers, etc. and it's good! The days of cigarette smoke wafting between the alleys are over. It's now a clean air environment. Between kids, pins, racking machines and general shenanigans bowling alleys do tend to be a bit noisy. They have something for that better than earplugs. I recommend: For only a dollar or so extra per game you can go to the west side of the bowling alley to a semi-private bowling area. The noise level is significantly lower and it's decked out with cushy couches and bowling balls decorated like billiard balls (the numbers match the weight of the ball). You've additionally entered microbrew heaven. There's a bar area right behind the 8 or so lanes with an extensive list of microbrews. The room has a quieter more removed feel. The lanes or parts of the room itself are often reserved for private parties so availability may be limited. My only gripe is that they don't carry any Latitude 42 flavors. It's the most proximate microbrewery (a couple miles south on the same road) and the Portage hometown brand. If you have kids: The game room has a number of fun activities, a laser light room, a room where they can fire plastic balls at each other, and lots of video games. If you hand them $20 dollars they load up a gaming card and disappear for a while so you can enjoy the bar while querying to the whereabouts of a Latitude 42 tap. In the summer when temperatures moderate there's a mini golf course and go-cart race track. Tip: Watch the carts before you race because one is always faster than the others. Picking the right ride can make you king of the track. They discourage bumping so when you wipe someone out you have to pretend it was a complete accident. Acting skills help. The guys behind the counter are always polite and friendly. Despite the number of people and smelly bowling shoes they're dealing with they nearly always ask if you enjoyed yourself. And despite my substantial lack of bowling skills I've always had fun. read more

********PART 1******** Took my girls here tonight so that we could do mini golf, as it is the only place near here that has it, I double checked on Google Maps, Apple Maps, AND their website to make sure they were open because it was going to be later that we got there and nearly every business in Kalamazoo still is shortening their hours, due to COVID and being short staffed. Both places said that they were open until 11pm. So, it was about 8:44 pm when we got out there and we decided that we would get the special they run, Pick 3 activities for $21.99/person, before getting each of us a card with the 3 activities on it, I asked the worker at the counter, if the inside activities (Balladium, Time Freak, and Lazer Maze) were considered one activity, or if we could choose the 30 min of arcade time that they give as an option for one of the activities and be able to play those three games in that 30 min. He responded with "I don't know"...well alright, so I decided it was best that we choose 3 different activities and then once we finished those, we would see how much time was left before they closed and just pay for the arcade card, if it wasn't too close to the time for them to close, and just use that for those 3 games, as I know, that if you put money on an arcade card, it can be used to pay for those games. As we are standing at the counter waiting to pay and get our cards, there is another worker behind him, slurping down a slushy, along with a girl worker talking (scolding) him with her mouth full of sucker, saying, "Yea, my drawer is probably going to come up short tonight when we count it, because you have been on it, I bet it's at least $200 short because you're the one that's been using it.. We decided to go outside and do mini golf first, so that we would be able to ride go-karts before the outside attractions closed. I asked the girl worker what time the outside attractions closed, so we would be able to finish with mini-golf and ride the go-karts. She responded with, "I don't know, 930 or 10, so we headed out to do the mini golf first because it takes the longest amount of time, but told my girls, even if we weren't done with the mini golf by like 9:40, and wanted to do go-karts, we would need to stop wherever we were and go do that so we wouldn't miss doing them. Mini golf was not very enjoyable (and our family LOVES mini golfing) because the music they had playing was not only annoying as hell, but also up to the highest volume, there were bricks missing all over the course, and hole 7 was flooded.. We got to hole 13/18 by the time I had told the girls we would need to go inside, so once inside we ask the girl if someone could come out to the go-karts, because no one was there outside. She informed me that they were closed (935 pm). Ok fine, she had said she didn't know if they closed at 930 or 10, so I can't even be mad. Next, we ask her if someone could go down to the Laser Tag, so we could play that, also closed (inside is supposed to close at 11 mind you). So at that point, I'm like, "Ok, why don't we just get an arcade card and do that activities another day. We go over and load money onto an arcade card. I played ONE game, was probably 1 1/2 min, but no more than 2 min long. Turn around to go find some other games, or some games that the girls can play and the screen on all of them says "Reader Closed", meaning the entire arcade was closed. At 9:38 pm. Now I get it COVID and all that, and no one has staff and everyone is closing early for this and that, but if that was the case, then why didn't anyone say anything when we were purchasing our cards. The only reason I will ever step back into that place, is to finish up the money and activities on these cards. Other than that, the management here really needs to work on hiring people who actually give a crap about the business and making sure that people enjoy themselves while they are there, as this is what the business is. And coming from someone who has worked in the restaurant/hospitality industry for over 25 years, make sure your staff is knowledgeable on what specials you run, how things work and above all, what time all the attractions close, because one thing I have learned in this industry is that you NEVER close early, because once a customer comes out and you are closed before you're supposed to, they will never be back that late at night again, if ever. In this case, you have lost mine and my families business, and that's too bad, because my kids really like the things you have to do out there, you're one of the only mini golf places around and our family loves mini golf, and we usually frequent there quite a bit, but the level of service and disregard for the customers you're employees showed that night, was it for me!! read more

Are you looking for a place where you can pretty much act the same age as the kids around you with out people judging you? Then come set your inner child (or you know, your regular kids) free here. They have bowling, the have an arcade, they have go carts, they have a rope course. They probably have other things too that I wasn't paying attention too because I was in shock from the awesome Unlike normal bowling, you pay for an amount of time to bowl and not just a number of games, which gives you more freedom to have fun. And you can change the graphics, colors and themes on your score board while watching the giant tvs at the end of the lanes. Plus for the more adventurous, there's a bar right by the lanes with a fresh supply of the alcohol for your purchase and use. I also definately reccomend the rope course, which it's about 30-40 ft in the air. I got up there and I American Ninja Warrior'd that bitch and claimed it as my castle. You get about an hour to run across rope bridges and balance beams in the air with only a safety harness preventing you from dying. It's great. I'm pretty sure this is how the dinosaurs wish they could have died. 10/10 would bring my family here if I liked them enough, but will be coming back with my son and my best friend. read more

This place is a lot of fun for the kids but can become quite a madhouse. The staff there is very young and very unprofessional. We enjoyed taking the kids bowling there but keep encountering very very rude staff. We also held one of our kid's birthday parties there this year and encountered another impolite staff person that was in charge of our party. She was very pushy and when we asked for a box she used her bare hands to pick the pizza up and put it in the box to go. I do have to say though that their pizza is some of the best in town. We will continue to take our boys there since there are not a lot of other fun options for kids like that in town. I am big on customer service so and I am disappointed in their staffing every time we go.
