The balls came back with literal drips of oil on them, and it got on our clothing it was so oily. So we didn't love that. Shoes were clean and odor free, drinks from the bar were decent. You really develop a sense of what retro bowling is all about when you enter this building. Over the past few years, the owners of the White Pigeon Bowl have been gradually modernizing their facility. While the above lane ball returns were manufactured by Brunswick in the early-to-mid 1950s, the rest of the equipment has been completely brought up to 21st Century standards. They have AMF synthetic lanes, and 82-70 automatic pinspotters that were recently upgraded to 82-90 standards. So if you're looking for a great place to bowl with that nostalgic feeling, but don't like the crowded big house atmosphere that other nearby bowling centers give you, then this is the place for you. We were short a few cards/bands and when we told them they put ANOTHER $100 on our bill. We booked a CHILDS party and told them this. Got there and was told cant do the Ax throwing because its for 16 and up. Was bowling and asked "3" times do you want the pizzas put in YES!!!! So over an hour later they finally arrived. During the party never seen an employee to maybe ask if we needed anything or how was the party-do we have any suggestions--Nothing. -When I did need anything I had to go looking for an employee and personally they seemed slow at caring or wanting to help. There is all young kids working and they seemed very bored with their jobs. After seeing the reviews and ZERO response to the reviews from the owner I think this place will eventually not make it. I have so many great ideas that would turn this place around -but I couldn't even find anyone to share my thoughts with. However, the TVs must have been from the 2010s because most of them had display issues which made the scoring hard to see. Thankfully, each lane had also a touch screen display that showed the scores of each player so you did not have to rely on the overhead TV. The bowling shoes were run down as you would expect from a bowling alley. We also ordered some nachos (decent) and fried pickles (very salty) at the food counter. Overall, a decent experience.

It has a game room and one prize is a crockpot so adults and children should play. Had a Jack and Coke, average. The food gets good reviews but we didn't eat. The people there seemed friendly and like regulars. We didn't bowl as we were there to support and no open lines. They had clever names for lots of things and areas. Punny names which was fun and clever. So clean, friendly, booze, and a sense of humor. The only big downside is size but I don't know how popular the place is overall and while booked solid tonight that was due to league.
